Small room but functional with tiny bathroom. Did have BBC 1&2 on TV. Asked for a quiet room and were given one next to the lift shaft which was very noisy.

This is a simple hotel, but it is clean and quiet, with helpful and friendly staff. It is all one could ask for in a budget hotel. It is an easy walk to the train-station, and a few blocks removed from the noisy tourist section.

For the price that I paid, I would have expected much more than the smallish rooms, and motel-like feeling. There are no electronic key cards, so it is quite inconvenient to drop off the key when you leave, and then have to ask for it every time you want to access your room. Great hotel, friendly staff that were very helpful and multilingual. Hotel is 2 blocks from the Zurich HB and has many shops, bars and cafes around. Will stay again!

Very helpful receptionist. It's in a good location and reasonably priced in an expensive city. WiFi was free and easy to access in the room.

Overall was very happy with our stay, they let us check at 10am, which was really nice given we had just taken an over night train. Hotel was very reasonably priced for the area, and included a decent breakfast. Room and bathroom were clean. While the rooms are small and spartan, they are clean, comfortable and convenient in that the hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from the train station and the lovely streets of the old town. The staff was accommodating and the free buffet breakfast was excellent.

Close to the main station, very handy for the old town as well. Decor is a bit sterile but great for a 1 or 2 night stopover. Continental breakfast pretty good too.

I have stayed at this hotel a few years ago, and in the menatime it was refurbished and now it feels new and very pleasant. The location of the hotel is very good, within a waking distance from the main train station, and still very quiet, with a tram stop very near, with the breakfast nice and the staff friendly.The main problem of my room, which was […] located on the last floor, was the shape of the ceiling, which in turn was right below the pointed roof. We enjoyed our overnight in Zurich before heading to the Engadine Valley. Hotel was convenient to train, museum, and a nice walk to Lake Zurich.

Was the best hotel that I stayed in during my time in Europe. Lovely and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Good location in a good neighbourhood not far to walk to the historic centre.

The rooms are small and basic-plain, it's ok for a short stay, as for Switzerland this price range is on the lower end. 15 min walk to the center or take the tramway a couple of stops.Free WIFI is a plus

NEAT AND CLEAN, WITH HELPFUL STAFF. NICE BREAKFAST. VERY CLOSE TO TOWN WITH ALOT OF RESTAURANTS AND SHOPS, AS WELL AS THE TRAIN STATION. THE RATES ARE MORE REASONABLE THAN MOST OF THE HOTELS IN ZURICH.

A nice experience, although they forgot to clean the room one day. Bathroom is completely new - which is very nice. Better be called shower-room as there is no bath - but its fine since it is brand new.

Just two minor issues:1. No hot drinks making facilities in rooms and 2. The towels in the room are very poor quality.

Hotel Bristol is located on the edge of the old town, very close to the train station. The rooms are clean and comfortable, front desk was polite and efficient. Free wifi worked everywhere.

The location in downtown Zurich is excellent for transportation and visiting. We were there for 8 days/nights and the size of the room does tend to be confining especially by North American standards, but you get used to it.

The triple room was quite spacious with a balcony, considering the location and price. Beds were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was typical. Staffs could be a bit more friendly and consistent in providing information to guests.

booked this hotel due to no rooms available in Freiburg. But it was a nice and comfortable hotel with a great restaurant for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was included in the room rate with a good spread of the usual breads, cold cuts, and cereals and pretty good soft/hard boiled eggs. The hotel is pretty near to the Highway-5 and you will need to have […] a car to go in-out to Freiburg(15min), Europa Park in Rust(15min) and Strasbourg(1.5hr). If you're looking for opulence, there are plenty of hotels in Zurich that will give you that — with a price tag to match. But if you're looking for a clean, quiet stay with not a lot of frills and a great location, it's hard to beat the Bristol. Historic hotel that was easy to find as we'll as use for home site. We were close to everything we wanted to do and see in Zurich. Would stay again. Only improvement suggested is front desk upon sign-in was not friendly and never bothered to smile.

Functional, clean and well-located. Free internet, decent breakfast and friendly staff. My only (small) problem was that they changed the towels daily although they had a card in the bathroom indicating they are eco-friendly and would only change the towels if we put them on the floor. Also, the pillow was bad and gave me a stiff neck.

This hotel is "no-frills" but this is not to be interpreted in a negative way. The receptionist was polite and multi-lingual. My room was clean.with small but perfectly adequate bathroom with a nice shower and heated towels (no freebie shampoos or lotions). Included breakfast was certainly adequate but definitely "no frills." Easy walk to/from Central […] Station and trolleys. Right next to the "old quarter."
