Beautiful hotel. Deserves five stars. Shopping, dining, sight seeing all within an easy drive.

The food was very good & the bar is lively on the weekends. The bedding is what was truly fantastic .... meant for sleeping well! Rooms were very spacious as well, I had a single king room. There isn't really much of view but at least there aren't any tall buildings (yet). There was construction going on in another building going up but that's not their […] fault and they were very accommodating to relocate us in our party. It was very clean with amenities. Nice place with good service, however the parking is a total ripoff and there is no self-park available. Only choice is thirty bucks a day for valet parking... then add the thirteen they wanted for internet and it's not so appealing. Bed was super comfortable and

This hotel does what you would expect a four star in the US to do. A little sterile and characterless but fine for access to the coastal area of Newport and Laguna and ideal for shopping at Fashion Island as it basically adjoins this complex. Very friendly and attentive staff. Everything was excellent BUT my only complaint is that there is very little reason, in this day and age, to charge for a wifi connection. Please. This is 2012. That service should be included in the price of the room.

A very nice hotel. Great value for money. Will be back. Good quality accommodations, professional service and an excellent location near Fashion Island and close enough to the beaches and good restaurants. Was previously a 4 Seasons Hotel. Seem to maintain same standard, but, passing on the savings.

I enjoyed our stay but was pretty surprised that they have started charging for internet access in the room. Last time we stayed at the hotel there was no charge. Pretty low class move.

Only worth it with a significant discount, I wouldn't be happy with my stay if I had paid more money than I had.

The hotel location is great, and the hotel itself is beautiful. However they do not offer self parking and failed to tell us that valet is $30. So at check out we were shocked at this ridicuous additional cost. It would hve been something I would have taken into consideration when booking the room. We checked in to shop and dine at Fashion Island. The location is great. We were pleased w our stay overall. The hotel is lovely. The staff was very helpful. The rooms are good-sized, clean w comfortable beds and fantastic ocean views. There were only two negatives: We had trouble w AC in the middle of night; the room got HOT and the TV remote control […] was very hard to operate!!! We will return I am sure. Comfy, cozy, fabulous fabulous hotel. Surrounding neighborhood is perfection with shopping, great restaurants and literally 3 miles to the beach. Great staff. Highly recommend,

This was my third year staying at The Island over the Christmas holiday with my dog. The staff were gracious and accommodating at every turn. I looked forward to returning each night as a respite from shopping, sightseeing, and family get-togethers. The hotel warned us that their neighbors were doing construction but that they were going to put us on the other end of it but ended up being woken up at 430am due to the trucks. I believe it is illegal to start construction before 7am.

My husband, dog, and I stayed here for 1 week when we had a major gas leak in our home. The hotel was beautiful, well maintained, and extremely comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and something to look forward to. The staff were AMAZING! So friendly and welcoming. I would absolutely recommend this hotel. Every situation that came up, they had a solution for. Mainly because we had a dog with us temporarily that we weren't bringing with but needed to have it during our check in time. The lovely bartender even brought us drinks to where we could officially sit with dog.

What a great place to stay. Service is excellent but easy- west coast all the way. We felt extremely comfortable, pampered . The ambiance is elegant but laid back. Kids present rose to the occasion and behaved beautifully. Restaurant food was excellent as was room service with great attention to detail and no request was too difficult. The hotel is in a great area and the staff is friendly. The accomodations are average, but with a 5 Star price tag. At this price point I expect free WiFi in my room (actually, if you're on a lower floor you can sometimes tap into the lobby WiFi) and they take away the complimentary coffee in the lobby at 8:30, which I thought was cheesy. There was […] no coffee maker in my room and I just missed the coffee in the lobby on my way out to a meeting. I wouldn't say don't stay here, just don't expect much. Also, the half price special in the restaurant on Monday was still way over priced for the quality of the food. The service, however, was outstanding. We had high expectations for this hotel, with it's proximity to Fashion Island. All expectations were met and service was great. Would stay again if the price was right. FYI...my stay was on a hotels.com free night award.

The shower plumbing fixtures in room 206 are dated and not working. It seems like Hotels.com gets inferior rooms.

The hotel was clean and the linens and room were very nice quality. However, please be aware that the room price you are quoted is just a portion of what you are paying. Wifi is $12.95, valet service was $30 per night plus tips, and no free coffee. I found the Holiday Inn Express would have been a better choice. Also Island Hotel is close a " Fashion […] mall" but not close to the beaches or downtown Newport beach. It was very confusing to locate the hotel. Devamı

Have stayed here a million times and they never disappoint. Such a great location-everything you need is within walking distance. The staff is always so nice and the rooms are always clean and comfy. Highly recommend.

Nice hotel, nice large rooms and very clean and comfortable. Close to over-priced mall, but mall was within strolling distance and offered good food choices

I would absolutely recommend a stay at this hotel, and my husband and I will likely stay again in the future. We stayed here for our wedding night, and couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience. Upon our check-in (with my husband in his tux and me in my wedding dress), the manager gave us an upgrade to a corner suite. It was literally the nicest […] hotel room I've ever seen or stayed in - floor to ceiling windows, ocean view, shower and soaker tub, 2 balconies. While we won't expect THAT upgrade again, the front desk clerks were so kind and gracious, and the upgrade was incredibly generous. The service at the hotel was phenomenal and the breakfast was delicious. (Try the banana french toast and the sausage links!) The room was very clean and incredibly quiet, and we enjoyed waking up to the ocean view. Also, the proximity to Fashion Island is very convenient for a day of shopping, if that's what you like. Although the required (expensive) valet parking can be frustrating, you can call down to them before you leave your room to inform them you'll be down shortly, and they'll have your car ready when you get downstairs, which makes up for the inconvenience. Overall, this hotel is incredible and we had a perfect experience with all the staff and the hotel itself. We highly highly recommend this hotel!! Devamı

Staff was very friendly. Hotel is located near a mall so getting food and shopping is easy & nearby. GREAT HOTEL

What started out as a very bad experience, turned into a pleasant one. We arrived at 3pm (check-in time) because we had an event that evening. We had to leave at 5pm and we hired the babysitting service offered though the hotel. Our room was not ready and we were sent to the pool. I returned at 4pm, and the room was not ready until 4:15. It took 20 […] more minutes for the luggage to arrive to the room, and there is no way to be ready by 5pm. After speaking with the hotel manager the next day about the multiple issues, she offered late checkout and a room upgrade the next time we stayed. Much to my surprise, when we checked-out, she also removed some room service charges and our valet charges. As always, the beds were comfortable and the staff was wonderful. The lobby and bar are also expansive but nicely decorated to keep it from having cavernous feeling. Excellent live music in bar on Friday evening! Found this property just before travelling to America. Some of the reviews made it sound dated and the service was poor. I found it to be very good but could do with updating in areas when you compare it to European hotels. The service was very good and would go back for this reason alone. The only niggle I did have was they provided wine in your room […] mini bar (great) but no wine glass (not great), overall I enjoyed my stay. You must be driving when staying at this hotel as the beach is 10 minutes away and could be costly taking taxis every day. located next door is a shopping mall and cinema so plenty to do if you don't want to go to the beach. This is my 4th time staying at the Islands. Great location, great views. Sliding doors with a mini balcony to feel the ocean breeze and enjoy the sunshine. The most comfortable accommodations of any hotel I've ever stayed in. Also, the pool is surrounded by trees and the gym has the most up-to-date equipment. My husband and I have stayed here many times even though we live 20 minutes away. Its such a nice place to get away for a quick weekend away from home. We have always had great experiences here. This last stay we ran into a little problem. When we walked into our room, there was an over-whelming smell of cigarette smoke in our room. Islah Hotel in Nesport beach was great. the other hotel in Laguna Beach, Laguna Hotel was bad so I canced my second night there and moved to the Island Hotel in Newport Beach, CA. Thanks for canceling my second night in Laguna!
