The Curtis Denver - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel - Denver

The hotel and staff were great. However, I had booked a single queen room and ended up with two fulls instead. I went back down to the desk, they quickly corrected it, and gave us a single king instead for no charge.

I loved the bright colors and ambience - the lobby was decked-out with some nostalgic decor and the warm cookies upon check-in was a cozy, nice touch. We stayed on the "rock n' roll" floor and loved that our floor had this "rockin" theme. In terms of location, it was a nice - brisk walk to great shopping and dining. Two thumbs up!

Hotel staff were very accomodating when the first room I was placed in was next to some very noisy/loud roof vents and fans. The 2nd room, while dusty, was still comfortable. Room was small but the shower was wonderful and linens luxurious. Hotel is directly across the street from the Center for Performing Arts.

This was the second time we have stayed at the Curtis. It is literally across the street from the Denver Performing Arts Complex. After we checked in, we walked to a nearby restaurant and then went to see the show. Very convenient for out of towners like us who like to see concerts or plays. The location of the hotel is excellent being only 2 blocks from 16th Ave shopping mall and adjacent to the convention centre and centre for performing arts. Also close to numerous restaurants on 16th Ave and the free shuttle bus along 16th Ave also good for getting around. Hotel staff very helpful - our allocated room had and air conditioning unit right […] outside and we were moved to another room when I asked. They were always welcoming and greeted cheerfully on return to the hotel. The room was spacious and clean with a large walk in shower as opposed to a bath which was good. Devamı

Absolutely loved The Curtis! The service was the best thing -- everyone is so happy and playful. I was here for my bachelorette party and it was the perfect atmosphere for it! One of the employees that works there, Steven (he needs a raise!), helped us decide where to go during our stay and was super helpful! The food at The Corner Office was AWESOME […] as well! The hotel is in a good location. The hotel was lovely, a nice fun hotel and the valet staff were friendly and helpful. However our room was not made up and when we notified the desk, they couldn't even be bothered to apologise. We did get clean towels but dumped on the bed not even put in place, the beds were not made up, coffee maker supplies and shampoo's […] etc were not replenished.We also asked if they could help recommend/advise us of hotels in Chicago but just said they don't deal with other hotels. My partner and I stayed at The Curtis for one night while we were in Denver for a concert. The staff was amazing (and so friendly!), the view was amazing,and the room was super clean. The food and surrounding area were great, what an awesome location! The Curtis added an extra layer of fun to our trip.

Value was great, hotel was clean, room was small but comfy. Only complaint is our room was warm, the a/c didn't seem to work too good. Will def stay here again. We stayed after opening day for the Rockies and the location was great and the staff was top notch. LOVED the cookie at check in and check out. :)

The service here was exceptional and the decor was young and playful. It appeared that there were fairly recent renovations to the lobby area but our room could've used some TLC. Overall a really good stay.

We stayed at the Curtis because of its central location to the convention center and downtown. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was attentive. My ONLY issue was parking. It seems in Denver that the new thing is for hotels to only offer valet parking. Not a problem, if you want it, great. The garage was "closed" next to […] the hotel, and the signage read, "Valet Only". I get it, whatever... My issue (besides the cost of valet parking being added to the bill, as well as all the cars in my party) was the cluster trying to get them at checkout. We were told to text our number to give them time to get the car, but waiting 20 minutes for the two valets working on a Sunday morning to get our cars just left a bad impression. Charge me for parking, fine, but get more guys to get the cars at checkout. Devamı

Fantastic location, clean and modern rooms, good upgrades all for really great value. However, the staff was really not helpful at all, everything I asked them was greeted with a sense of surprise as to why I was asking. They were not very friendly or helpful, more seemed like a bunch of kids at a part time job rather than a trained hotel staff.

We had a great stay at the Curtis, location is second to none. One of the things we really enjoyed is how cool and young the hotel felt, if you want old and stodgy this is not the place for you. Our time at the hotel started out great! Check in went well and our room was clean. The issue we had with our stay was the noise level of our neighbors. We were kept up till after 4 am because of noise. We called the front desk four times and security pint came up once. My credit card was also charged five separate times for different amounts ranging […] from $3 - $50. When I called them on this they said several if the charges were going to come off and one was for a water. However we did NOT enjoy a water believe me for $3 I wish I had. Over all the experience was not fantastic and we will probibly choose a different hotel next time. Devamı

This was a very nice hotel in a great location just a block off of the 16th St. Mall. The floors were themed and the service was excellent. You must valet park your car though, and parking was an additional $28/day which I hadn't realized when I booked the hotel. Otherwise it was very enjoyable.

This hotel has a nice trendy feel to it. Upon arriving, the self parking was closed due to construction so we had no choice but to use their valet parking. We were a bit disappointed when the morning bill was slipped underneath the door and a $28 valet charge was on my bill. We went downstairs and asked to be waived because their self parking was closed […] and I felt that we shouldn't be hit with the charges and the gentlemen that was at the front desk looked at us with attitude and said the self parking has been closed for over 6 months and he refused to remove the $28 charges. We were both extremely satisfied with everything about this hotel until that moment. It was more of his attitude than anything else as if we should have known that the self-parking has been closed for over 6 months. Well duh, why didn't we think of that since it was our first time in Denver. If you're planning to stay at this hotel, be prepared to pay $28 over night parking fee. On the positive side, this hotel is close to the 16th street mall and Coors. Plus, it's a pet-friendly hotel. Will we stay at this hotel again? Probably not because in my opinion, excellent customer service is what gets people back and should they have waived the $28. I would have brag to all my friends how The Curtis really go above and beyond with their customer service, but instead I'm telling all my friends a different story. Devamı

Great hotel - right where you want to be in dwntwn Denver. Staff was courteous and helpful. The room was very comfortable, and the style was fun/quirky.

Working a convention. Great location. Walked to fun. Only had one issue, not the staff's fault. The keys were causing a problem, not opening room door etc. Highly recommend.

Only complaint is that the construction from the second floor could be heard and felt (vibration) on the 10th floor. It would have been nice for front desk staff to warn us about the possible disruption rather then needing to discover on our own where the noise was coming from.

Let me preface by stating that I did come straight to a one night stay at The Curtis from a two night stay at The Four Seasons (practically next door). This, probably, is greatly influencing my poor review. To me the hotel looked aesthetically like it were just a dive hotel with a bunch of giant robot / cutesy Anime / Not-Quite-Hipster decals slapped […] all over it to make it look boutique or something. Think Day-Glo Lipstick-on-a-Pig and I think you'll get the idea. The service was really good though I have to say, very nice people but ultimately I truly felt icky staying there. I think pet friendly is kind of gross for a hotel, I just never felt comfortable. Devamı

I loved the staff and they were extremely curteous, especially dealing with a ton of volleyball girls!! The hotel manger went out of her way to help us with a spot to have a little get together and feed the girls!! They were all amazing and I would love to stay there next we come!!!!!

Awful service. Didn't have room ready at 4oclock. (Check in is at 3)Told to wait. Valet line backed up down street. Valet Parking lot not on site. Very small rooms. Then $60 worth of extra charges on bill.

Our room was not ready when we arrived in the morning so they said they would call us when it was ready but it never happened. The staff was however pleasant for our stay. I made my reservations over a month before my trip to reserve 2 queens beds, yet none were available when I checked in. I was "upgraded" to a corner room with a king sized bed and pull-out sofa and a "view". This was definitely not an upgrade by any ways, and turned out to be more of an inconvenience than anything for both myself and my guest. This was a nice hotel. Great location if you are going to the center for performing arts but a little far if you going out for a night in LODO. Room was clean and comfortable. Not sure about the themed floors. Kind of fun but a little cheesy.
