Hotel Eden Palace Au Lac - Montrö

Nice hotel for a quick getaway. The staff automatically upgraded us to lake facing view from a mountain facing view. A 10-15minute walk from train station. Breakfast not included in rate, but it feels really food to eat in their main dining room facing the lake if it's a sunny day - since the whole area is drenched in bright light.

Some paint would improve the great hotel room. Fantastic lake views. Food rather expensive.

Third time in Montreux - always on business. Always one night stays here. So I don't get to use the hotel facilities much. This is the nicest hotel I have been in so far here. It is a bit expensive, but certainly a nice hotel.

The hotel had a wonderful location overlooking the lake and very close to the leisure centre of the town. The hotel was very comfortable and on the whole service very good. We only had one complaint which was that there was a very strong smell like calor gas in one of our 2 rooms. We have no idea what was causing it - do fridges have gas? Despite asking […] the Hotel on consecutive days that somebody look at this no action was taken. We were assured there was no gas in the Hotel which we could work out for ourselves. 1. Arriving: German was not a wanted language. 2. Where to put the car:? into Forum-Garage (at a horrible cost) 3. Room: very tiny ,lots of old gadgets, no A/C, only little TV, 4.Restaurant: They offer 10% discount in in Hotel restaurants, on the bill we noticed nothing such ! The hotel was beautiful and was as advertized. Location was great as well. Rooms were quite large and nicely decorated. Within walking distance to everything. Right on the lake!

Like the name says, the hotel is located right by the lake, Lac Leman. If not quite paradise, Eden comes close enough. It's a classic and very elegant hotel. My room was very spacious and comfortable with a view towards the lake. I was in Montreux to attend the world famous annual Jazz Festival. The Hotel Eden Palace Au Lac is one of those classic grande dame Swiss hotels. It's sits on a spectacular piece of property, right on the lake with a breathtaking view of the French Alps. The common areas still convey shades of the place's former glory, but a good renovation by a skilled interior designer would work wonders. You must be sure to get […] room on the lake side, or you will be greatly disappointed...as I was. My room (#115) faced the back of the local C&A department store (not pretty). Furnishings were dated and included what looked like wrought iron outdoor patio chairs. Tile in the bathroom was chipped. It was a treat to stay at the Hotel Eden -even tho we did not have a lake view room we enjoyed our stay immensely. Beautiful lobby, eating area, promenade, pool and very helpful staff. Easy walk to the Chauteau (highly recommend. Nice to have the discount card for sights.Great having access to a computer in the lobby. We even added on an extra night […] instead of returning to Geneva. Wonderful breakfast but we were under the impression it was included in the nightly rate but it was not and in fact was a hefty $22 each per day. Would have been nice to have a few TV stations in English and a larger TV (hard to see from the only sitting area - the bed) but watched the US Open in French anyway. Veldig bra hotell, sentral beliggenhet, nydelig utsikt over innsjøen, gåavstand til jernbane og shopping. God frukost i lys frukostsal. Lang, nydelig beplanta strandpromenade rett utanfor hotellet. Vi var svært fornøgde med dette hotellet og dreg gjerne dit igjen.

Das Hotel hat all unsere Erwartungen übertroffen

Das Hotel Eden aux Lac liegt fantastisch, ist aber etwas überaltert und renovationsbedürftig. Die Zimmer entsprechen nicht mehr dem heutigen Standart. Spannteppiche in den Gängen und auf den Zimmern vermitteln einen "schmuddeligen" EIndruck.

Situation excellente, mais pour un hôtel 4 étoiles, nous avons été déçu de l'intérieur vieillot et du service en salle. Mon mari avait oublié son porte-monnaies dans la chambre, car il avait changé de veste et le temps de revenir du petit-déjeuner, la totalité des billets de banque à l'intérieur avaient disparu. Nous nous sommes plaints à la direction, […] mais nous avons eu l'impression que cela ne les touchaient pas. La piscine du Casino à laquelle nous pouvions accéder depuis l'hôtel est elle aussi un peu à l'abandon. Les informations étaient données au compte goutte. Devamı

Die Zimmer, die nicht zum See gehen sind dringend renovierungsbedürftig!!

Hotel ist sehr alt-Teppiche sind abgewetzt-Fenster in Badezimmer ist das Holz morsch und die Türen müssen neu gestrichen werden-Dusche in Badewanne alt-unbedingt seperate Dusche bei so einem Hotel-Frühstück nicht inbegriffen-Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht-werde nächstes Mal ein anderes Hotel wählen.

Bon accueil, excellent buffet de petit déjeuner, vue extraordinaire sur le lac et les Alpes qui s'y mirent. Un peu bruyant surtout le soir.

Hotellet er fint, men trænger visse steder til en lettere restorering og eventuelt modernisering. Værelserne med udsigt over søen og med egen balkon er især anbefalelsesværdige. Hotelet bevidner om en svunden tid.

Hôtel très bien placé, accueil + service sympathique et souriant. L'endroit est calme, la chambre donnait sur la rue du Théâtre (dommage pour la vue qui n'est pas équivalente à celle côté lac). Le petit déjeuné est situé dans une magnifique salle de style Art-déco donnant sur le lac. Bel endroit.

Liegt direkt am See mir wunderschönem Blick auf See und direktem Zugang zur schönen Seepromenade von Montreux. Die Aussenanlage des Hotels ist denn auch sehr schön. Leider ist das Hotel ziemlich alt und renovationsbedürftig und wirkt dadurch auch leicht schmutzig. Unser Zimmer war schlecht ausgestattet (keine Klimaanlage bei 30 Grad Aussenremperatur […] im Sommer) und nicht sauber (z.B. Schimmel in der Badwanne). Für uns hat das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis deshalb nicht gestimmt. Devamı
