Renaissance Seattle - a Marriott family hotel - Seattle

This hotel satisfied our needs! We were in a great location, walking distance to all the main attractions! Staff was wonderful and the bed was super comfy! Couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Our room was right next to the freeway, so it was pretty noisy. We were also charged $32.00 to park our car in the garage, which was upsetting since we paid over $150.00 to stay there for one night. Also was charged $13.95 plus tax for wi-fi. Won't stay here again.

I am a repeat user of this hotel - it's located very close (5 minute walk) to downtown places to visit and eat, the rooms are quiet, very clean, extremely comfy beds (clean and comfy is what I really care about here, everything else is icing on the cake). They even hold your fish purchases from Pikes fish market in their fridge at no extra charge! I […] even got upgraded to a bigger room at no charge this stay, it was really nice! The hotel was nice but the bed was a little uncomfortable. Noisy next to the freeway but it was clean and comfortable other than that.

The whole stay was excellent! We had a nice time in our big room and got to experience the hotel over the weekend. They did fail to mention the "$38" overnight parking (per night) if you choose to park at the hotel. I didn't see anything online or with our reservation ticket at all. I walked up to the counter and they said "welcome! How would you like […] to pay for parking?!" When the fee was taken from my account they took "$50" instead. Watch out for that! Devamı

Beautiful hotel. Rooms are great. Wifi isn't free, parking is an insane $32/day and dogs are an extra $100/night.

I typically stay in Federal Way or Sea-tac as I had a bad experience at one of the 5 star hotels in Downtown Seattle. I have to say that I will be back to the Renaissance due to the friendliness of the staff. They were extremely helpful and it wasn't forced. This hotel is fancy without the uppity! :-)

The location of the hotel and the rooms and public areas were lovely, but the hotel is perched above the I-5 another street and an overpass. Only got a little quieter for a few hours in the middle of the night.

Great value. Lot's of ammenities for the price. You could easily haer the high outside traffic, even on the 17th floor.

Other than the fact that the walls were thin, the stay was great. The hotel provided an excellent gym with personal t.v. monitors on most of the machines. I love the property, however it offends me that this luxury hotel has you pay for internet service, per device no less. Where your average hotels, Best Western, Holiday Inn, etc., internet is free of charge.

The Hotel Rooms were incredibly small, though well maintained. I felt almost claustrophobic in the room. It had a King size bed and a small chair, which took up the entire room. There was no more room to move around in. Also, they completely rob you in parking. We paid $80 (includes taxes) on parking for TWO DAYS! When confronted on their parking pricing, […] they said "Welcome to the city ." They also said their parking rates were lower than most others. So I looked into this. I found abundant parking all over the place for $6/day!!!! Totally robbed. Easy to find and parking is easy. Greeted by friendly staff. Excellent location. Wonderful room. We have made it our place to stay when we are in Seattle. Highly recommend it. Great price for such a luxury hotel.

My boyfriend and I stayed here Feb 16 and we had a wonderful stay. I chose this hotel for the free parking option but it was much nicer than expected. Location was close to restaurants and shopping. Check in was a breeze, less than 5 minutes to get room keys and park car in garage. The rooms are very clean, beds comfortable. Nice service and attendants. The room was decent size with a nice king size bed. The bathroom door rolled shut so there wasn't much privacy. The hotel is next to the convention center and a little bit of a walk to places like Pike's Market. Valet parking can run you 38 dollars a night! The hotel had some muffins and coffee in the morning. Nothing wrong with the hotel, but it's RIGHT on top of the freeway and even on the 19th floor the constant noise kept us awake. For that reason alone, I would not stay there again.

I was very concerned after booking this hotel and reading all the recent comments about how downtrodden the hotel was and how loud the rooms were. (I had booked last minute without knowing the name of the hotel - just that it was 4 stars). I was coming coming down with some sort of cold or flu but couldn't cancel my meetings in Seattle and was quite […] upset about the prospect of being under the weather and having a terrible hotel experience. So I called ahead, explained that I had booked in and was feeling poorly so could they please make sure that I had a nice quiet room when I arrived so that I could have best chance of being fresh for my meetings the next day. They said no problem and when I arrived I had a lovely room on the 23rd floor (both looked recently renovated) facing West away from highway. So obviously they are in the process of upgrading the hotel and your experience could vary widely depending on what floor and room you get. Call ahead. Devamı

A one-night get-away on my own. Beautiful hotel, wonderfully comfortable beds, hot shower, nice sitting area. And very quiet. The lobby lounge area is also nice with great waitstaff.

I went through the Expedia Unpublished Hotels and wound up with this one. My initial reaction was to slap myself in the head because I've had very bad experiences with Renaissance before; however, this experience completed changed my opinion of the chain! Due to the lottery-like nature of booking hotels at "unpublished rates", I wasn't sure what kind […] of rooms we were gonna get. So I asked nicely at the front desk for two king-bed rooms, and our request was fulfilled so we got ourselves two very spacious rooms on the 18th and 20th floor; one of them was even a suite. The rooms and hotel interior were very clean and service was superb, from the front desk to the valet boys to room service. I was seriously worried prior to the trip because many reviewers commented on that they didn't believe this hotel deserved 4 stars; I've stayed at many 4/5 star hotels like Westin or the Ritz, and Renaissance Seattle is definitely a solid 4. Parking and internet was expensive ($47 after taxes for parking and $15 for internet per day), but if you do some shopping around you'd find the same rates at similar hotels nearby; after all, the location is as close to central as you could get. One thing though! There IS a lot of noise if you're in a room facing the I-5 freeway exit, but that didn't bother us because I can sleep like a baby anywhere; I'm sure my mother would've complained a hell lot about the noise, so if you're a light sleeper, ask for a room on the bay-side. The location is really good, just a walk distance to downtown everywhere. The front desk is really helpful. The facilities are high quality. My room is on the 7th floor and not noisy at all. I would like to stay for the next time.

Rooms weren't very clean, plus they "forgot" to clean it two out of the six days we spent there. Some of the elevators are in such bad shape that they look more like service elevators. Rooms are badly insulated and noisy. Internet is very expensive and require you to pay daily (no multi-day packages or anything) on top of it the internet will only work […] for one single device (so if you and your wife both have an iPad and then a laptop...that's 3 times the charge)...many luxury hotels now throw in internet for free if you sign up for their free points program...clearly not these guys (they wouldn't even comp "other devices" if you paid for one). Hotel is not very well situated, you have to hike up a hill to get back to your hotel (with a homeless person or two always camped out around there). Very expensive valet service (close to $40 dollar a night if you factor in tip and taxes). Lastly, no pay-per-view or a-la-carte TV service for a lazy night in. Bottom line, I have no idea how this hotel got a 4 star rating?! Devamı

We were on one of the recently remodeled floors - love the new carpet and dictionary pages wall paper! This was a very nice hotel with great service. Love the views from the 28th floor bar. Would definately recommend this hotel.

Friendly staff. When we were given a room on the freeway side of the building upon check-in and asked if we could switch to another room, it wasn't a problem at all. There was still a little freeway noise, but not bad. The lounge area is very nice with attentive and friendly staff. I thought it was a good hotel for the price. I expected Marriott to provide 4-5 star services for the price, and I believe they did. My biggest advice to those who may be staying there is to go ahead and pay the $36 for valet parking. It is impossible to find parking near the hotel. Thanks to Hotels.com reviews, I had already made up my mind to pay […] for valet when I arrived. It went smooth. The room was a tad smaller than I thought it would be, the bathroom especially. But overall, the room was clean, well kept and the bed was comfy. You might want to skip the in-room coffee as it was not the greatest. I love coffee and ended up dumping it and going to the restaurant instead. The staff are fantastic. They really seemed to enjoy their jobs. I think I would stay again. Devamı

The room is big and nice, and the breakfast has lots of choices. The only drawback is the bed because it is way too firm, but it is just personal preference. Overall, it is a really nice hotel.

I'm not too difficult to please so I wasn't really surprised by the level of service and quality at this hotel - it's exactly as I had hoped / expected when we booked the room. It was beautiful and clean and every one we spoke with was genuinely kind and helpful. The valet was located right off the main road and it wasn't difficult to find. The freeway […] is straight ahead on the right as you're leaving (important to us because we hate driving in the city when we can avoid it). We booked the room to see a play at the Paramount and even walked back to the hotel after the show. It wasn't the most pleasant walk as it was on a lesser used road at night but it was within a 0.5 mile from the theater. I'd love to stay here again the next time we need a place in Seattle. Devamı
