Danubius Grand Hotel Margitsziget - Budapeşte

My boyfriend and myself love spas and Budapest was recommended to us as spa capital. We have found a great hotel deal on hotels.com website and booked a double room in Danubius hotel. The only good thing we have experianced was food in the hotel restaurant. The bed in our room was old and uncomfortable. I ended up with a back pain!! The staff in the […] hotel didnt speak fluent English so changing the bed was an issue. which is NOT what you expect in a 4 star hotel. You could only have a basic conversation which didnt leave you with a feeling of a valued customer. Generelly hotel seems to attract older people and if you are a young couple i wouldnt recommend staying there. Once we got to the hotel spa, which is in a postcommunistic, ugly old building my boyfriend and myself felt like being in old people resort (have nothing against them bu tit feels weird if this turnes out to be your holiday resort!!!) The hotel offer was really good, but i would prefer to pay 100% more and feel as one should feel while on holiday! this was just not good enough...hope this helps someone .... Devamı

The hotel was wonderful. The only complaint was the beds were outdated for such a nice hotel. LOVED the hot mineral spring baths! Would go back and would recommend to all of our friends.

The location was grea, very quiet, and extrordinarily unusual in a true upscale style. It was a bargain by any measure. I would stay there any time I revisit. I feel fortunate to have found this hotel. The staff was very helpful and spoke several languages. There is access to a spa and the food in the superb dining room is excellent, with entertainment. . […] The only down side is the distance from downtown and not all Taxis are reputable as to the charge for the ride. Great hotel if you like to relax away from the city. 10 min taxi or 20 minutes on the bus and tram to the centre on Budapest. Running track is superb, 5km long. There's also a fantastic swimming complex about 1km down from the hotel with a 50m, 33metre pool and fun park with slides etc. There's also a very good 400m running track so it's a fab please […] to go for training all round. I'd love to return to this Hotel and Budapest generally. Devamı

The Hotel was nice but very old fashioned. Unfortunately your choice of meals and places to eat were very limited. The actual island was beautiful and very peaceful, just dont get in the way of the joggers on the track round the island!! If the weather is good you can stroll in to the city centre but if you have spent a day in the spa and are feeling […] lazy buy a travelcard hop on the 26 bus and then the metro and you will soon be in town. Just remember the 26 bus stops running at 23:05 or else you will be walking back. Most of the restaurants and cafes serve great food and the people could not be friendlier despite the language barrier. I would recommend this hotel if you want to thoroughly relax during the day. Absolutly loved the joggers path, I was in heaven. If your a runner this is the place to be. However, my ONLY complaint is: BYOB (bring your own bed)horrible mattress, they did change it over for me but still I felt the wires on my ribs, and twin bed, ugh! The service was outstanding. Underbar miljö på ön där hotellet ligger. Bad, jogging slinga, djurpark, lekplatser, lummig miljö med blommor och massa växter och grönområden. Hotellet är vackert, marmor och pelare m.m. trevlig personal. Ok men ganska dyr mat. Trevligt med tillgång till fint spa, pool och gym. Lite för hårda sängar. Vi kommer att åka tillbaka!

Bara bra. Det hade varit skönare sängar om dessa hde hafr en bäddmadrass.

Dro hit for å slappe av - noe vi også gjorde. God service, bra standard på rom og andre fasiliteter. Fantastisk beliggenhet, enkelt å komme seg rundt med offentlig transport. Sajnos egyetlen kritikus szo sem jut eszembe, a szemelyzet rendkivul baratsagos es segitokesz volt a szallodaszoba tiszta es kenyelmes a kornyek varazslatos! Koszonom,hogy ott lehettem!

Ob in Winter oder Sommer Margitinsel und dieses Hotel ist immer spitze!!!! Einzige was fehlt ist Kinderbeschäftigung!!! oder irgendetwas für Kinder, außer schwimmen. Darüber könnte sich die Geschäftsführung mal ernsthafter Gedanken machen.

After a week in Budapest, my wife and I look back a a perfect combination of relaxation and city pulse. In the Danubius Grand Hotel on the island of Margitsziget the green trees, nice walkways and SPA is an inviting relaxation. With local bus or by foot you reach both the Buda and Pest sides of the town within minutes and can enjoy everything that Budapest […] offers. The fact that you see even girls jogging round the island in the evening is also encouraging giving evidence that the security at night is sufficient. Dette smukke gamle hotel er en perle. Det ligger på øen margitziget med adgang til wellnes, spa, løbeture omm. Med 7 dages kort der gælder til metro, busser, sporvogne, trollies kommer du meget nemt hurtigt og billigt rundt i hele budapest. Hotellet har en super betjening og er meget fleksible. Hotellet var i god stand og rommene var fine. Personalet var behjelpelige og hyggelige. Noen vil kanskje si at det er et minus at hotellet ligger noe usentralt. For oss var dette ikke noe problem ettersom vi ble fortalt hvilke busser og trikker vi skulle ta. Disse gikk hvert tiende minutt, så det var lett å komme seg overalt i byen. Det tok heller ikke […] lang tid. Taxier er også billige, men spør hotellet hvilke taxier som er "trygge" å ta. Noen firmaer er private og tar seg langt høyere betalt en de egentlig skal. Hotellet sørger for å kontakte trygge taxier. Område rundt hotellet var helt fantastisk fint. Kjempefine treningsmuligheter på øya og på hotellet. Devamı

Mycket prisvärt!!

Hotellet kändes enkelt, rent och fräscht och dessutom lagom "lyxigt". Skönt med en tunnel till SPA-avdelningen, där det dock kan vara mycket folk vissa tider. Glöm inte att ta med flip-flops! Kommunikationen till centrum var helt ok fram till kvällen, efter kl 22 är det taxi som gäller. Vi är dock himla nöjda med vår vistelse på hotellet!

Mycket trevligt hotell i gammal, välbevarad stil. Trevlig personal och bra service. Gångtunnel till grannhotellets spaavdelning var ett stort plus. Hotellet är mycket trevligt beläget på ön, omgiven av lummig parkmiljö. Busslinje på minimalt gångavstånd samt närhet till tunnelbana, gjorde bara hotellet ännu mer attraktivt. Lungt läge mitt i Donau perfekt för dig som gillar SPA samt motionera med simmning eller löpning. Margareta ön är perfekt för löpning. Löpbana som går runt hela ön , 30m utanför entren.

hotel con molti servizi. un pò scomodo dal centro, tuttavia immerso in un'isola con molta vegetazione.

Fint hotel, god restaurant - der var flere, men en var lukket, da vi ville prøve den af. Herligt wellness område, som man hurtigt bliver dus med, selv på en varm sommerdag. Prøv om du/I kan få et værelse med balkon/terrasse, det er en god oplevelse. God mad i restauranten, hvor prisen er derefter, men ift. downtown, så er det pengene værd. Transport […] til centrum er let: Bed receptionen forklare hvor bus nr. 26 kører og stå af ved første Metrostation, så er man i centrum på ingen tid og til meget lave priser. Devamı

Nettes ruhig gelegenes Hotel mit angenehmer Atmosphäre.

Hotellt ligger på Margaretaön mellan Buda och Pest.Bra spa anläggning med olika behandlingar och fina pooler med termalvatten.Riktigt fina restauranger och bar men inget för festprissar.

Di 4 stelle ha sicuramente la hall, il ristorante, le piscine termali comprese nella tariffa e il parcheggio gratuito all'aperto. La stanza dataci era piccola (altre migliori) con aria condizionata insufficiente e pulizia giornaiera carente. Non venivano mai ripristinati (se non dietro lamentela giornaliera) il thé/caffé nella stanza

Hotel superbe dans un cadre mignifique. Pascine OK. N'ai pas eu l'occasion de tester le restaurant qui semblait du même niveau.

We went to Budapest primarily for the Sziget music festival and wanted a hotel that would be calm and nice to go back to after days of crowds and loud music and that was exactly what we got. The Grand Hotel is situated on Margit Island, in the middle of the Danube river, and functions as a reserved park area with only a bus line and local taxis allowed. […] As it is located in between the two parts of Budapest (Buda on the left and Pest on the right) you never have far to go, no matter wich side you choose. The hotel in it self was stunning with plenty of old charm, still with all the modern supplies and services that you would expect from a four star hotel. We made use of the health spa where you where offered a variety of treatments and pool areas. The sun terrace with pool was a very relaxing retreat. To sum it all up we were pleasantly surprised and overall very satisfyed with our stay at the Margitsziget Grand Hotel and would definitely stay there again. Devamı

On est venu pour zsiget, on a eu un tarif sympa, mais l'accueil s'en est ressenti. On a pas été traités comme les autres résidents. Une chambre au rdc sur le parking, pas d'informations sur les services de l'hotel, pas de porteur de bagages.. bref, comme des pestiférés. La prochaine fois on prendra un hotel moyen mais avec la meilleure chambre ! lol […] ! Devamı

Hotellets beliggende er efter vores mening fantastisk - vi elsker Margitøen, og synes kun at gåturene frem og tilbage gør det hele bedre. Vi var heldige at få et værelse med stor altan - det gjorde ikke opholdet dårligere! I vores ophold var inkluderet adgang til SPA og fitness faciliteter (det vil jeg tro gælder for alle) og det gjorde vi en del brug […] af. Det er ikke sidste gang vi bor på Hotellet! Albergo situato in buona posizione, se si dispone di una vettura propria (parcheggio custodito gratuito). Le più importanti attazzioni della città sono facilmente raggiungibile con vettura propria, mentre le principali fermate di metro e tram sono 400-500 metri fuori dall'albergo. Heerlijk hotel, geweldige zwem-sauna faciliteiten, goede ontbijt en diner mogelijkheden. Omgeving op eiland is vrij van verkeer; echt top locatie. Opmerkelijk is de smalle hardloopbaan die om het hele eiland is aangelegd. Ideaal voor trimmers.
