Back in my home town for a funeral, I found the Norwalk Inn to be comfortable and convenient. The rooms are small (no surprise given the hotel's age) but nicely decorated and very clean. During our stay, the hotel was very quiet which we appreciated. Service was pleasant; there was a slight lack of communication between the front desk and housekeeping, […] but this was a minor inconvenience. The hotel is beginning a major renovation (adding a third story) so that may cause some disruptions in upcoming months. The bed was very comfortable and I loved that the window opened to let in air. Fast, free internet service and single cup, in-room coffee maker with half and half was a plus! Not walking distance to any restaurants or train station but the hotel shuttle was free and the staff very willing to drive at my convenience. Comfortable beds but small rooms. Loud slamming doors in the morning.

This is a lovely, older hotel going through heavy renovation currently. The Hotel staff were friendly, And helpful. Despite the renovations, the hotel was busy, and had many events being held at the hotel. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Do not Our room was not large, and we had trouble getting my Wheelchair through the door. Since the Hotel […] is older, the rooms were not made accessible for the handicapped. If you need a shower chair, and an accessible room, I would suggest you speak to the hotel directly to see if they have made renovations to include accessible rooms with shower chairs, if you need these. The site was misleading about the accessibility of this hotel. They even had the old fashioned double swinging doors, which are quite difficult to maneuver through if you don't have assistance of at least 1 other person, if not 2. It is a lovely, old fashioned hotel, with a friendly staff, and we enjoyed our stay despite the accessibility problems. Perhaps the new renovations will address these problems (there was a step down into the handicapped parking lot, not pleasant for the wheelchair). Devamı

In town for a business meeting. Accomodations were adequate for a meal and a good night sleep.

The hotel is conveniently located off of I-95 but there is not much in the immediate surrounding area. It is a quaint place with a separate restaurant and bar. It is currently undergoing renovations. The room was very clean and the staff friendly. The hair dryer in the room did not work and when I called the front desk they did not answer the phone […] which is unacceptable for a 24/7, 365 operation. Devamı

Great Location! The hotel itself needs to be updated inside and out. The nicest part of the hotel is Adam's Rib and the lobby. It's the only hotel in the area close to downtown Norwalk.

I have stayed here offen and have always had a great stay

The hotel is in a older building and compared with the other 3 star hotels in the area does not hold up. The breakfast included is excellent, however cost $12.00 if more than 2 in your room can be costly traveling wth children. There was no cell service through out the hotel for me T-mobile but I have WIFI capable Blackberry which was still difficult […] to here on ( never had that problem elsewhere ) The business center is right at the front door, my lap top worked fine through out the hotel . Carpet bedding and furniture are out dated. there is nothing with-in walking distance of hotel. They do offer shuttle service but if not available thier resteraunt the only game in town Devamı

1st: i was given a room which was occupied 2nd: the room was FREEZING, i got there at 10PM and i had to wait to for 4hr before i could undress and take a SHOWER..BRRRRRR

Very cute, nice breakfast on house, Nice work station for Internet & printer Genteel in and old-fashion but Fawlty Towers way.

Lovely place. Friendly and helpful staff. Our room was a bit smaller than usual but otherwise quite nice and very clean. Complimentary breakfast was excellent in quality, quantity and presentation.

This is a family owned hotel, everyone from the receptionist to the shuttle bus driver were very nice, helpful and accomodating. The waiter in the resturant the eve of my arrival amost ruined it for me with his lack of interest but he was a little more attentive the following evening. The room was quite modern and clean. During a storm got caught at work, was able to get a room at 8 PM and when I walk in was greeted warmly and felt very welcomed. Order food at the front desk and was at my room within 1/4 hour. A small family run hotel that is step above, will always stay when I'm in the area,

We stayed at Norwalk Inn so that we could attend Family Weekend with our son who attends nearby Fairfield University. The Inn was undergoing renovation on the parking areas so parking was a bit difficult but worked out. We called prior to booking the hotel and confirmed that as of Jan 2011 the hotel was a smoke-free facility - which is a major factor […] for us when deciding to book a hotel. However, we noticed that some of the hallways smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke, possibly due to the fact that a party or reunion of some sort was going on at the time. This was a last minute booking for me through hotels.com. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was a bit worried because they are expanding and my room was on the first floor next to the construction outside. Clean and comfy. My kids liked the TV in the bathroom. Perfect for what we did which was a one night stay.

This is an older hotel. i think it may have been renovated - but it still had a very dated feel to it. Other people had given this hotel really good ratings which led me to select it. I was surprised by how tiny the room was. Also the bed was pretty hard and the sheets and blankets seemed old. Our 2 week stay at the Norwalk Inn was great. Family owned means friendliness and service not found in big chain motels. Front desk staff was amazing. Free breakfast M-F was substantial and a real time saver. A big plus for me was that the linens were processed in-house. Very nice hotel for the money! The manager is a very nice and accomodating man that goes out of his way to make your stay enjoyable. Pool is open very late into October which was great. The bartender in the restaurant was also a very nice woman. Refreshing change from the usual chains!

The Inn it's self is older, which is not neccesarily a problem, but it was inconvenient to not have an elevator to get my bags down to the floor level on check out. To their credit they did carry my bag up to my room on check in. The gym had decent equipment, but was crowded in the basement. The breakfast was mediocre. The hotel was clean, the free breakfast buffet was good, and the pool was nice. The pool was very clean and a very nice attmosphere. Convenient to attractions such as the aquarium. Would definitely stay here again.

Good location, spotless, comfortable bed, and the free breakfast (buffet) was great. Friendly staff. If you have time, walk either to downtown (a few blocks) or in the other direction to the old town green...some interesting history.

Nice general hotel for business or pleasure trip. I have family in Norwalk and stay in this town quite often. In the past I have gone to larger chain hotels quite a bit out of the general Norwalk way to stay and I found this will be my new hotel. The hotel is located in a residential neighborhood. As a result, one will need a car to go around. I arrived late after the restaurant in the hotel had closed. I was told by the receptionist that the nearest place I could get something to eat was to go back to the highway and got off at another exit! Very comfortable hotel, ample parking. I'd like to offer thaqt they provide free breakfast all week long, not only 5 days, everything else is fine. How to earn points on my hotel.com account for this stay?

This is the second time we stayed at the Norwalk Inn, as it's not terribly far from the Weir Farm, where we like to go. South Norwalk has terrific restaurants and they're only a few minutes from the Inn. The rooms could use some updating. My bedside lamp was broken, and there was no hair conditioner provided. our rooms were at the back - and at least it was quiet. the hotel is OLD and could use some updating. My moms room lost air conditioning in the wee hours and was very hot in there. Good thing we were checking out that day And why don't they give free breakfast on weekends - we paid the same as the folks during the week. They left my hungry!

Our first room was soo hot! The staff quickly moved us to another room and promised us free food for our inconvience but we never received the credit. Breakfast wasnt bad. We would stay there again but it wont be our first choice.

My room was comfortable and air conditioning effective (if a little noisy). Breakfast buffet was good but more fruit would have been welcome (though french toast was excellent). Convenient to Norwalk, I-95. Good value for sure.

this hotel was clean and the morning breakfast was delicious. nice pool. I read a book in the pool while lounging on a floaty :) only compliant was that the breakfast ended at 10am, would have been nice if it went a tad later. staff was friendly and helpful, though one staff member did not acknowledge me in line to check out. she waited on the person […] ahead of me and then summoned the lady behind me to check out. so I had to speak up "I was next." Great service, from down to earth hoteliers.

We were pleased with our stay (a couple with two small children.) The hotel was clean and quiet. Beds were comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower (though the tub stopper didn't work which required use to stuff a washcloth in it for our kids bath.) Pool looked nice, but was too cold to use it. Would stay again if in the area.

For the price was expecting a lot less. Good location, Best price in the area with the best service.

This hotel was clean and quiet. The front desk staff were very freindly. Stay away from the breakfast buffet on the weekends. Order from the menu if you can find someone. We went to the dining area and sat down. No one was found anywhere. Because we did not see anyone after waiting 10 minutes we assumed that there was no menu only buffet. Amazingly when we were almost ready to go two men came from the back room and started clearing the 10 or so dirty tables.I was not asked anything about my meal and had o ask for my check. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is nice and clean. The breakfast is very good (included). The only problem we had was internet. Couldn't get signal at all or it was too slow to load pages. in this case "Free wireless access" shouldn't be advertised at all. What's the point if none of the pages can be downloaded.

The Norwalk Inn is a small, comfortable, nice place to stay. It's set back from the road so it feels quiet and is nicely landscaped with plantings, creating a feeling of remove from the busy road it's located on. I like that you can just walk upstairs to your room and get to and from the parking lot and the hotel easily and quickly. Plenty of convenient […] parking. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. They had a small refrigerator in the room, which I like. I really appreciate that you could open the windows. Check in and check out was easy.
