Mercure Hotel Hamburg Arena - Hamburg

The hotel was in a good location and near to all main amenities, especially the O2 Hamberg. The service was friendly and professional and the room was of a good standard.The only negative point was that if you wished to park in the hotel grounds there was a 12 euro daily charge.Also lots of TV channels but no English.

The hotel was great, what you expect from a Mercure. To reach downtown takes about half an hour on the bus, that's the less convenient thing if you are visiting Hamburg as a tourist. Still, it was worthy, you just need to take care of the bus 4 timetable. Great room and really helpful staff.

The hotel is in the Stellingen suburb of Hamburg, which is a 20 minute train journey away from the main Hauptbahnhof train station in the centre of the city. The nearest S Bahn station is a 10-15 minute walk away from the hotel. Although it isn't too far away, it is quite difficult to do if you are carrying heavy bags of luggage. Apart from the Arena, […] there isn't that much to see or do in the immediate locality. Having checked into the hotel, I found that the bath/shower was covered by some sort of black material. I wasn't impressed with having to clean the bath to remove this material. The room itself was clean, spacious and comfortable. There is a main road outside, which was audible but not excessively loud. The main thing that I would criticise the hotel for was finding the black things in the bath. I would suggest staying in the centre of Hamburg, as it is a bit too far away from centre and there isn't a huge amount to do in the immediate area. It wasn't awful by any stretch of the imagination. My husband and I recently stayed here for a night while in Hamburg for a family event. The hotel is a bit older, but is clean and well maintained. It's on a main thoroughfare and not really close to cafes, etc. so take the breakfast at the hotel, even if it's a bit pricey. Wireless internet is available for a fee, but reception is not particularly great […] at the back of the hotel. We didn't try the pool or spa at all. Very comfortable hotel, good varied breakfast buffet. Helpful friendly english speaking staff. Excellent restaurant within 10 minutes walk and fast food outlets but not much else. The hotel is old and in old condition. Despite being ina non-smoking room, there was cigarretes smell coming from the ventilation. Breakfast was a mess and there was not enough tables!

hotel actually is a 3 star hotel. It is clean but a bit run down. Minimum service, no cable TV, with english channel. Very good breakfast. Location is average, need taxi to go to shopping or main business areas.

The hotel is nice and clean, the rooms smaller than expected. Taxi ride to downtown about 10-15 minutes. Internet available at a cost and very expensive, most holtels offer free wireless in the lobby as a minimum, but not here. Very good breakfast, but again expensive. The hotel is on a main road with no charm but, having asked in advance for a quiet room, we got a big twin room at the back looking out on private gardens which was very peaceful. Although the breakfast was a bit pricey, there is a good seven-day cafe just down the road. It is a very ordinary hotel off a main street in Hamburg. Nothing fancy but nothing bad either. I was surprised by the 12 Euro nightly parking fee. While I won't say I wouldn't stay there again, I'm more inclined to try out someplace else next time. The staff was very nice, helpful and spoke good English. We spent just one night there for quick access […] to the Hamburg airport in the subsequent morning having spent the day in a nearby city, so I cannot comment on how well the location was for Hamburg activities. It was a modest distance but fine for travelling to the airport. I think I read on the Hotel's on website, they are ranked the "32nd best hotel in Hamburg". That seems fitting. Devamı

Hotellets tætte beliggenhed i forhold til Arena/02 var grunden til at vi valgte hotellet. Og det må vi sige fungerede fint, både gåturen derover og om aften tilbage til hotellet. Mercure Hotel ligger desuden tæt på motorvejen og var let at finde. Vi fik et familieværelse og det var stort og rummelig til os.

Hotellet ligger i gåafstand til tog og stadion, samt CO2 Arena. Høfligt og venligt personale. Rigtig god seng og pænt værelse.

Godt hotel, super morgenmad, fine værelser. God beliggehed til Imtech Arena (fodbold), men lidt langt til S-tog. Ikke mange p-pladser i lokalområdet, og så kun dyr parkering på hotellets område.

Der Aufenthalt hat mir sehr gut gefallen! 3 Motorradläden in der selben Straße!!! (2 direkt nebenan ; 1 ca. 10 min. fußweg) ;-) Das Zimmer war sauber, Frühstücksauswahl hervorragend!

Dejlig ophold, vil gøre det igen, Der var rent og pænt, super go service, med egne parkerings mulighedder for 12 Euro, og hotellet lå 7 min i bil fra O2 arena og 5 min i bil til centrum.

Hotellet ligger rett ved sterkt traffikert gate. Men vi fik rom i sidefløy og sov fint med åpent vindu i bakkeplan. Ikke mye støy. Vi kom med stor bil og var i tvil om den kunne sno seg ned i parkeringskjelleren. Gården bak var sperret av. Fikk lov å parkere på remsiden tross skilt med max 15 minutter. Fin service synes jeg. Aufgrund vorheriger Bewertungen waren wir skeptisch. Aber wir sind posetiv überrascht worden. Unser Zimmer war sauber und modern eingerichtet. Das Frühstücksbuffet war umfangreich und lecker.

gutes Hotel für Städtereisende oder Geschäftsreisende, allerdings ist die Verkehrsanbindung nicht ganz optimal aber wenn man gut zu Fuß ist, kein Problem

Die Entfernung zur S Bahn Station von knapp 1 km kann ganz schön nervig sein wenn man mehrmals am Tag zum Hotel zurück kehren will. Auf Frühstück haben wir verzichtet da uns die Kosten dafür zu hoch waren. Die Badezimmertür hat arg gequitscht sodass man beim nächtlichen Toilettengang ungewollt geweckt wurde. Mit 2 Koffer im Schlepptau war das Zimmer […] sehr sehr eng und man musste "klettern". Die Bettlampe funktionierte auch nur sporalisch. Im Großen und Ganzen war es okay, ich würde aber nicht weiterempfehlen. Selbst würde ich diese Hotel auch nicht unbedingt mehr buchen, eher was anderes suchen und ggfs ein paar Euro mehr bezahlen. Wir würden sehr freundlich an der Rezeption empfangen. Das Zimmer war sehr groß un gemütlich. Nur das Bad war nicht 100% sauber ansonsten gibt es nix zu beanstanden.

Ich war sehr zufrieden mit dem Hotel und dem Zimmer. Das Hotel befindet sich in einer sehr guten Lage, es sind nur wenige Minuten bis zur S-Bahn die alle 10 Minuten fährt, dann ist man innerhalb von 12 Minuten in der Stadt. Das personal war sehr freundlich. Würde mich bei meinem nexten Urlaub in Hamburg wieder für dieses Hotel entscheiden.

War extra-cool!!!! im fernsehen lief Iron Maiden, davor Simon and Garfunkel. Ruhig war's auch. Trotz der Silvester-Knallerei ... Dank ans Hotel-team und die sehr freundliche Empfangsdame :-)

Außenfassade, Außenbereich mit Parkmöglichkeit zum Aus- bzw. Beladen, Rezeption und -bereich sauber und in Ordnung. Fahrstuhl eng und veraltet, bei Ankunft Flur und Zimmer wirkte verwohnt, im Zimmer schlechte Luft, Bad: Dusche hoher Einstieg, aber sehr geräumig, etwas lauter Lüfter. Positiv: Trotz 12€-Parkgebühr für Außenparkplatz auch Garage nutzbar. […] Frühstücksbuffet soweit in Ordnung. In der Nähe ein Schweinske-Lokal, ein Italiener und das Restaurant Dubrovnik. Waren 2 Tage in Hamburg um dort ein Event in der O2 World Arena zu gucken und haben dazu 1 Nacht im Hotel verbracht. Optisch ein wunderschönes Zimmer, leider etwas hellhörig, haben aber in dem kuscheligen Bett super schlafen können. Sind rundum zufrieden! Personal war auch super! Sehr guter Empfang an der Rezeption und freundliches Auftreten der Angestellten.Service war sehr zuvorkommend. Lage war nahe einer S-Bahn und leicht zu finden.
