The Hotel is in dire need of renovations and upkeep. The service was perfect from ALL DaysInn staff members.

Service was great. Room keys stick and had to get help opening doors.

Hotel is nicer on the inside than the outside. 8-10 min walk to metro if you go the back way as the hotel staff suggested. Breakfast was decent. Room was clean. Staff was very friendly! I mean you get what you pay for and I would stay here again.

The room was clean and had a very comfortable bed with great pillows. Heating unit was super. I was expecting it to work on some type of thermostat as I've experienced in more expensive hotels where I would have heat then cool air circulating. The room was clean and close to the subway. Staff was helpful. There was a group of people that work there and were noisey to all hours of the night. Had their music on loud and TALKED REALLY LOUD. They did take care of the music, but the people next to us didn't know how to whisper. Breakfast was OK, normal for a continental breakfast.

My family stayed here for 5 days while visiting DC. The hotel is a bit older, but w/ lots of remodels done, the only thing that could have improved was the water pressure in the shower, and the beds are a bit stiff, but those are the only things to change. The staff was wonderful, allowing us to check in early, and also being more than accomdating showing […] us the "secret" way to the metro which saved quite a walk! They were quite clear that they drove to the metro every hour but if we called for a ride back it would cost $5, which is no big deal, but we walk all the time, so we just walked it back. There was a school group staying there the first two nights, but they were very well behaved! The breakfast was fine, there were waffles, cereal, etc. Also, we had brought food w/ us and the lobby was open late so I could use the microwave. By the time we left we were on a first-name basis w/ the front staff and my son got a head-rub and a "good boy" from the nice gentleman who prepped the breakfast for us every day! The only down-side was that on our last night, when I was looking forward to sleeping in, there was some REALLY drunk/high people yelling like crazy, all night long! That is NOT the hotel's fault though, but I think that the neighborhood lends itself to that behavior a bit...it's not as much as a family environment, much more a commercial environment. But if we come back to DC we will most certainly stay here. Devamı

The hotel is not located in the best neighborhood. Is near the metro. The dining area was just ok, However, the motel was ok for the price. It is a little shabby.

DONT STAY HERE BECAUSE OF THE FOLLOWING. 1. This hotel is soooooo far from the nearest metro (Huntington). Honestly, at least a 15-20 minute walk, UPHILL. The breakfast is cheap: cereal, english muffins or waffles are your only options. The surrounding neighborhood is not safe! I felt uncomfortable walking to my hotel from the metro after a day of sightseeing. I would not recommend.

The showers drove us crazy. The water pressure is weak and the shower head is low, but the major problem was the constant swings from very hot to very cold water. No way to get a good temperature. Bathroom is small and cramped. It was a nonsmoking room, but i could smell the cigarette smoke emanating from the carpets. Bed was fine for the price, fridge,coffee […] maker and microwave worked fine. I suggest spending a little more to save on the hassle. Location is pretty good, but plenty of hotels in the area. Went to visit my family for my Birthday. Every thing regarding my stay was great.

Room was clean...needs to be updated. Ok to stay for a night and cheap price.

This hotel could use some updating but was nonetheless very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful, recommending restaurants and informing us of the safety of the neighborhood. We felt very safe walking the half mile or so to the train station every morning and evening. They do have a shuttle but it only runs March through October or November. […] The only complaint we have was the religious revival/service that was held right beneath our room on Wednesday night. It was very loud and went one for about three hours. I recommend asking for a room away from the meeting rooms. Otherwise, it was great and we would definitely stay here again. Devamı

Good clean room. Comfortable bed. Slept well. Only 20 min. from our train. Worked out well.

The staff are lovely. Good price for the room for the area. Had an issue with mold under the bath tub mat, the staff cleaned it that day and were willing to move me to another room.

It was excellent for the price in DC area. Good for budget travelers.

I needed a place close to downtown Alexandria for 3 nights. Upon first glance, it's definitely in need of renovation. The lobby had an "aged/retirement home" odor to it. What appeared to be the "family" of the owner were several people just sitting around in the lobby watching TV as if it were their own living room. The nice young lady at the desk was […] courteous and set me up in room #209 which is on the second floor, facing the front parking area/main roadway. The room upon first entering appeared neat. Older style TV. Tub area was So-So...there was black mold in the tile grout and the carpet in spots appeared tattered. My first night I slept well but probably due to me being overly exhausted. Next morning I went to take advantage of the breakfast bar. This was nothing but a "bread" offering (cereal, muffins, toast, waffles, NO FRUIT) with coffee and some of the worst OJ I've had. Very watered down. Second night, the noise from the road traffic out front was quite disturbing/noticeable. Breakfast the second morning was no better. My third night, as I returned to my room, Seems they placed someone in the room directly next to me who were heavy smokers. I don't know why they couldn't spread the guests out as the hotel had 4 cars in the entire parking lot. As they stood outside my door on the walkway, the cigarette smoke poured into my room and I had the displeasure of listening to their entire conversation. I'm not a smoker and this was unbearable! I went to the front desk and when i explained to them my displeasure, the gentleman (I presume family of the management) rolled his eyes and asked if i'd like another room which i did ask for. I was placed in room #317 which was on the third floor, end unit facing north. So I relocated my belongings to the new room. Upon entering this room, the smell of cigarette smoke was highly present. The hotel was ok, but it was somewhat run downed. The rooms were non-smoking rooms but you could smell that it had been smoked in before. The room faced the parking lot and all night long you could hear people talking, partying,etc. The breakfast was weak. The ice machines were broken.

Good location, nice staff, so-so breakfast. Not far from a shopping center and fast food. The room was nice, except that the carpets were not properly vacuumed and had not been in a long time. There was dirt and dust build-up in all of the corners and behind the furniture. The china mugs were dirty. However, the bathroom was spotless.

I got the better room this time and it did not smell like smoking room when I stayed it in August (this year)

Pros: Excellent service by hotel staff, well maintain perimeter, free breakfast and safe neighborhood. Cons: Non-smoking room reeked of cigarette smoke, cigarette burned marks on bed cover, shuttle to metro station only till 8PM. Overall: Good value for your money

Great location just south of Washington DC, near Mount Vernon {home of George Washington}. Big room with king size bed, loveseat, coffee table, microwave, refridge, coffee maker. Would stay in again, highly recommended to others. Great price and great location, close to shopping in Alexandria and Old town Alexandria restaraunts.

Did not feel safe at all. Very noisy, main door was dirty and sticky my husband had to clean it, bathroom dirty. There was no microwave or refrigerator even though they advertise it. Very disapointed!!! Anyone coming to stay there bring your clean supplies.

you can find a lot of faults with this hotel. But it is a cheap nights stay for the area. Rooms were clean, showers were designed for someone less than 6 feet tall. Fridge is on a timer, so it cut off after the first day as it seems it had to be "reset" causing loss of medications. Biggest complaint is breakfast. Dont tell me you are out of bagels […] at 615, even after I saw you take several bags to the back. Lying to your customers is never cool. If you dont want to serve breakfast, quit. But dont lie about it. Over all though, a clean room, heat and air worked well and bed was pretty comfortable. Work on delivery of what is promised, and who knows, the numbers might be better Devamı

If you need a safe clean bed for the night it is fine, but this property is very old and shows it. The toilet in our room didn't flush every other time. The shower head was very low and the water pressure wasn't so great. The place was certainly clean, but old and certainly safe. Some other reviews referenced a bad neighborhood, but it was fine. This is a much older hotel. Staff very nice and it was OK but it is definitely on the cheaper side. It's a little run-down, especially compared to the Holiday Inn Express and another hotel across the street. The area that it's in is convenient, and I didn't feel "unsafe" but it's not pretty. The continental breakfast was only a waffle maker, cereals […] and some toast (maybe a muffin too?) no fruits or dairy products. all in all it was ok and fine for what we paid. Devamı

This place is in poor condition.

Extremely loud window AC unit made it impossible to sleep. This is an older hotel that needs renovation. They are nice and try to do well with what they 've got, but the infrastructure is old.

We could not believe it but we had some sort of bed bugs. We did not realize it until our last day. It was disgusting. Also, even though we were in a non-smoking room, our neighbor moved his chair outside his door and sat there and smoked. The smoky air drifted into our room. It was also disgusting looking at his overflowing ash try. The breakfast […] room was dirty and not very well kept. Overflow was in the conference room and it was not set up. Good nice hotel, would definitely come back

The hotel was so nice. Especially, thier service was awesome. Every morning we could eat breakfast by free, and this hotel had a pick up service to a station. It was convenience for me.

The hotel was close to Washington, D.C. and more urban than where I am accustomed to staying. The staff was pleasant and very helpful for orientation to the hotel and area around Washington. It was an older motel needing some repairs but the bathroom had been updated nicely and appears to have been done recently. My main concern was that we were in […] an urban area and there was really no security except my locked door to any outsiders. It wasn't a problem but I was a little uncomfortable. Any equipment moving in front of our second story room was noisy and started relatively early in the day, but it was quiet at night. The hotel staff was nice and helpful. The hotel itself was okay. We were grateful for the continental breakfast. It wasn't the worse room we ever stayed at, but wasn't what I would expect from a days inn. The room door is to the outside/exterior versus a hallway/interior entrance. The room had a musky smell at first which did bring down our overall […] experience. The room was clean, but needed some maintenance in bathroom and the AC unit needed some work too. The room did come with fridge and microwave which were a strong plus. The coffee maker had a short cord and had to be moved to use. Overall, it wasn't bad, but wasn't great. I stayed here while attending a three-day seminar in National Harbor. The hotel is very conveniently located on a highway and my "commute" only took 10-15 minutes each way during the AM and PM rush hour. It's your basic "meat and potatoes" hotel for travelers with complimentary breakfast, newspaper, and a lobby guest computer for Internet access. I […] had no complaints during my stay. It is the Inn that shelters for the night--if you don't mind the noise or the cracked pavement in the parking lot. Hot water sporadic but hot when it did come, mini-refrigerator had a broken retainer, but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The a/c worked. As this was a business trip and I was out before 7 a.m. each day, I didn't do anything […] but sleep. Slow internet connection, but it got there eventually. After reading reviews before our stay, we were a bit apprehensive about staying there... but was pleasantly surprise by our room... their push for no-smoking rooms policy is enforced by fines which is really nice bc the non-smoking room that we had actually didn't smell like smoke at all... big plus from all other non-smoking rooms we've stayed in. […] King rooms were spacious and clean. I recently stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights with my boyfriend for our trip to DC. Check-in was simple and it was a nice room. The king size bed was pretty comfortable and we had clean towels everyday. It was very close to the Metro station (Huntington Ave. which is literally around the corner and about a 5 minute drive). If you choose this […] hotel to travel into DC, definitely use the train and buy a day pass which saves you alot of money if you go to numerous stations. The only negatives about the hotel are that the pool was only open from 4-9 pm and the fact the shower was somewhat small. My boyfriend is 6'3" and the stream of water wouldn't even reach his face. We stayed here after visiting Mt. Vernon and before heading north. The building is obviously old and, as my daughter said, "sketchy." Not terrible but nothing to recommend it.

The Days Inn is just what you would expect or its class: clean, comfortable, and basic. Beds were wonderfully comfortable, and the place has been renovated since I was there last. Still is obviously a place built in the 60s or 70s, but it is pleasant and clean. The pool is very nice, but unfortunately only open 4-9pm, so frustrating not to be able to […] swim in the morning or the late evening (they have to have a lifeguard on duty, and presumably won't pay for longer hours). But the hotel is about a 10 minute walk via the neighboring apartment complex parking lot and though a nice little park (part of a Civil War defensive system for Alexandria) from the Huntington Metro (Yellow line terminus), so you can get into DC quite easily.
