Very nice looking hotel, great staff, room exceeding our expectations at a good rate. However, our room was not available for check in until 30 minutes after arrival. In addition, one of our toilets was not workin properly possibly from previous guests. Overall, I'd stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

You think the Doubletree is going to be "top of the line". We had to come into town for an event we had to attend. Not realizing it was UT graduation weekend I was unable to find a hotel I was comfortable with a the last moment, and every hotel I think took the opportunity to double its rate. We had to come so booked the DT, to make it a special stay […] since it was NOT something we woud usually do. We go there and the air conditioner did not work the whole time. Unfortunately, even our event got cut short due to winds and everyone had to leave early. Trying to salvage the evening we thought we would settle in and watch a movie, we tried over and over, called and called, were told to try again, wait and try again-this going on for quite a bit finally saying it was not working we went to bed when they start knocking on the door to come in twenty min later. At normal pricing I would not have been so disappointed to be so let down. But to pay to have a bad date night four hours out of town that you might have at home was what was what was disappointing when in these days most don't have money to just give to them for their enjoyment and use for it certainly was not for ours. It was a nice hotel but our A/C did not work properly. The staff was very reassuring but it didn't help the temperature in the room. Great service though. I woul return in a different room.

Loved the Hotel and the location. I would definitely return! Having said that, however, paying for daily parking underneath the Hotel was not a plus at all.

My son and I spent one sleepless night at this hotel while visiting a local college. The staff were very pleasant and we were greeted with warm cookies. That is where the positive experience ended. The deadbolt on the door was off so much from the strike that it wouldn't close. The walls were paper thin and we could literally hear the neighbors entire […] phone conversation as well as his television, which was on until at least 2:00 am (even after the front desk called the room) The only way we were able to get to sleep on the incredibly lumpy & cheap pillows was to play instrumental music on my sons iPod. We stayed here New Year's Eve and I have nothing but positive things to say about the hotel and the hotel staff. Our check-in was prompt, parking was easy, and our room was huge, clean and very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this Double Tree to friends and will definitely stay here again.

Visiting during Christmas/NYE week 2012. Room is spacious and well kempt. Good view of the city (room 1406) and a nice balcony. Shuttle service is prompt; we used it for a ride to local restaurants that were a bit of a walk, or for pick up when the weather turned nasty. Location is a bit away from the action on 6th street but it's only a mile walk (downhill […] to downtown, slightly uphill on the way back to hotel). As long as the weather is nice, it was fine. Restaurant on premises is lacking, with limited menu and no espresso machine; expected more from Doubletree on this account. Elevators were temperamental; we got in on the 14th floor and pushed for lobby, then were shuttled to the 2nd floor, then back up to 8 and finally we were able to get back down after holding the lobby button down. Kind of scary. Housekeeping made some noise out in the hallway, and were less efficient over the course of our 4 night stay (might have been the holidays). They showed up at 5p on our final night to clean the room. For the price, it was a pretty good deal and we were lucky enough to have decent weather, so didn't mind the walks. Next time, we'll probably pay a few bucks more to stay closer to the action downtown. Devamı

Very clean and well located for Austin sights of Capitol etc. Staff was friendly and helpful. Concierge recommended a great steak house (Austin Land and Cattle) that was not over the the top on price and could work with a seven year old-he was spot on. Rooms were very spacious and clean and had a kitchenette area if so desired. A door separated where […] the kids slept from the adults. Great location, massive rooms, everything clean and kept that way by very efficient housekeeping. Nothing too over the top, and nothing ignored. Just the right amount of service.

We will stay here again. Their two room suite is nice, big, and well appointed. They have a small balcony, kitchenette with a full size frig. You can't beat the price for all of the space you have. The distance from the bars is a non-issue when you use their shuttle service. I highly recommend The Double Tree.

Nicely updated. I've stayed here for business and for personal travel, and really enjoyed the proximity to everything. 4 blocks from campus was very helpful! The rooms are very spacious and clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Had a wonderful experience here. Room was very nice with a charming view of the capitol. Staff was very polite and accommodated all of our odd requests, including a no-charge room upgrade. Will definitely return here and refer in the future.

it was a pleasend stay. only the price that we paid to stay in the hotel wa not included the breakfast and free wifi. for such a hotel I think they should include these future in the price.

First, the bad: When we walked in, we saw little bits of paper littering the lobby floor. The guys who were supposed to tend to the doors never really managed to get there in time to open them throughout our stay. The right-hand elevator is missing its needle (pointing to which floor it's currently tending). The guy at the front desk offered us two […] cookies, only had one on hand, and then promised to bring us a 2nd cookie and never did. Only one of our two phones worked. The little kitchen had a nice fridge, and a little stovetop, but no way to cook things (and when we asked for some, we were brought old, dilapidated pans and no spatula). These little things contributed to our negative opinions. Second, the good. We loved the size of the fridge. We loved the beds (we didn't need two but they gave us two!). The free soaps were nice quality, and the bathroom was nice (though we like bigger tubs). The towels were nice and big. Nothing smelled bad, and everythign in our room was clean. It was nice overall. Check-in was prompt and friendly, and the warm chocolate chip cookie was a fun surprise. Everyone was helpful, friendly and I appreciated that every employee asked if I needed anything or if I was satisfied with their efforts. That was a nice touch, because so many places the staff act like if they don't acknowledge your presence then they can get past […] you. I arrived rushed and flustered and kept losing things, I was so grateful to find my items turned in and was able to pick them up at the front desk. When I called the front desk, housekeeping, or other services the phone was picked up promptly and my question answered with efficiency. The 15th Street Cafe in DoubleTree offered plenty of food options, and the food was good. The cafe seemed to be a little short handed, but the people working the breakfast shift remained pleasant and made an effort to be efficient. Devamı

We had a wonderful stay at the Double Tree Suites by Hilton in Austin. It was only a couple blocks to the Capitol, what a great walk in the morning and really enjoyed the free shuttle service within two miles. Nice rooms, liked how the entry way to both rooms had doors so that both of them "connected"(Queen Suites), very clean, very comfortable...we were hoping to walk to 6th but was a bit far, they did have a shuttle drive us there which was nice

Loved this hotel. Rooms were huge. We have five of us and stayed inthe two queen suite. Door staff were super friendly. They were having problems with elevator and the room ac cooled but didn't get subzero like we like but it was fine. Only real complaint was the service at the hotel restaurant. I would have appreciated knowing that the hotel charged 18 dollarsplus tax per day to park. Perhaps you could add that to the description. I parked at a meter and it still showed up on my bill. Hopefully that got corrected.

cleaning staff was horrible.did not clean toilets, give clean glasses nor did they come back to clean when asked.
