The room was very old looking, rusty lock, old lamps, one free electric point. Breakfast has limited choices and not too good but the biggest drawback I found was no shuttle service to the ferry that some of the neighboring hotels provide. You need to take the ferry to go to new orleans unless u plan want to drive thru the city traffic.

friendly atmosphere, hotel personel was very professional, i felt very comfortable at this hotel, ihop across the street and a mall behind the hotel, good place for leisure not business which was the reason i was in NO.

When I arrived and entered the lobby to check in, I was pleasently surprised by the beautiful surroundings. The clerk greeted me with a warm smile and directed me to my room.Upon opening the door to my room, I was greeted with a very pleasent aroma and a room that was above and beyond my expectations for the price I paid for the room. I enjoyed my stay. It was a good value.

For its price, this hotel is a bargain. It has free wifi, a pool (which is a plus for my son), microwave and ref. The 24-hour IHOP is just a few steps away. Reception can call a cab for you. It's $17 going to the French Qaurter. Not bad. About $40-50 to/from airport.

This hotel was very nice for the price. It was centrally located right across the bridge from downtown New Orleans/French Quarters, approx 3 miles. The staff was absolutely pleasant, especially the night clerk Anthony. He was patient about answering questions and offering suggestions. Also, the young lady, security guard that works night, was also wonderful […] in helping out the guest questions and directions. I was quite shocked bu pleasantly surprised. The hotel was amazing the staff were friendly and helpful. The campus and the rooms were clean. The pool was sparkling clean. There was always a patrol person wondering the hotel and we felt safe the entire time we were there. This hotel was fine for us. We just needed a clean plaster to sleep and shower. We chose this hotel because it was close enough to the city without the astronomic rates that the hotels in New Orleans were charging for the weekend we went. If you're looking for a hotel that has high end toiletries and accommodations, this is not the place for you. Staff was very friendly and helpful,room was very clean and the beds were great.Had a great stay,will definitely stay there on my next visit in a few months.Was a much better value than the BIG name hotel that I stayed in downtown New Orleans 6 months ago.

We stayed at this location overnight for our cruise leaving the following day. The hotel is an easy drive over the bridge that takes you to the famous French Quarter and loading dock to the cruise ship. The hotel offered a free hot breakfast but we opted for IHOP which was next door. I have stayed here twice. Most recently for a girls weekend to run the rock n roll marathon in March 2012. The front desk staff was super nice and more than accomidating. They called us a cab, got us more towels and were helpful in securing a late check out after the race. The location is awesome. It is right across the river from the french quarter […] (about a 10 minute drive with a 1 dollar toll to cross the bridge into the city or a 17 dollar cab ride) and there is a mall, ihop, and gas station within feet of the hotel. The room was not fancy, but it served our needs. For the price it was great and better than forking over a small fortune to stay in the french quarter. Devamı

I would not choose to stay in this hotel again. The building is rather old, and the bathroom was very small. There was blond hair in the towels, and even though we requested a non-smoking room, the room smelled like smoke and had a cigarette but on the floor.

Older hotel.... they had done work on it, however needed more. Our tv would not turn on, when we called the front desk, they brought a new remote out and reset the tv. It still didn't work. We went to bed and about 4 am the TV comes on with the volume full blast. Also, a lot of people just hanging around outside their rooms drinking. A nice place to stay for the price. The room was very clean and a nice size. If you are wanting to visit New Orleans but dont want to pay the high prices for a room this is a good place to stay its only a few mintues drive from the city.

I felt like the "free" breakfast could be improved. Seemed like it was understaffed.

Christopher and Staff work hard to overcome any obstacles to make your stay comfortable. Stayed in Room 353, changed from 343 due to lock issues.

I had to throw away my food in the morning because I saw a roach in the bathroom. I told the front desk and the person only stated "oh they just come from outside, sorry about that."

The hotel was fine for our stay. We were in the room only for sleeping and showering. The rest of the time we were tourning the City and attending the big game. Cab Service was easy to get. The IHOP was in the same parking lot.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel. The hotel was very good for the price. We didn't have car, so we thought to use the taxi cabs. The cabs have flat rate $17.00, but when you pay this price twice a day the hotel getting expensive. We found a bus stop, which was very close to the hotel. The bus goes to drops you off just 100 yards away from the Canal […] St., and it was only $2 per person. The Hotel was very clean, very comfortable. The only problem we had was about bathroom, we couldn't take a shower with warm water, the water was either too hot, or too cold, couldn't arrange it. Another good thing was free breakfast :) Devamı

The shower was not working when we got there. Water from the faucet sink did not drain easily. The carpet was dirty you would not want to be without any footwear. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel got the job done, offer a room at a reasonable price. The location for us was troublesome, though. We went for new years eve. We could not get a taxi that wanted to take us from the french quarter area back to the hotel because it's located in the Gretna, West Bank area. There is a fare arrangement with a local cab company which works fine […] any other day. Just be advised that it is complicated getting a ride back late night/early morning on extremely busy dates. But if you're considering visiting on a date other than a major festival, you should be fine. Devamı

The room was small The bagel was molded The orange juice was watery...There was no syrup for the waffle...We ordered a room with 2 queen beds and they were full sieze, I have no plans to stay there again

I was a little worried booking on the West Bank initially, but this worked out really well. With the cost of the hotels directly downtown being quite high, the La Quinta offered a decent stay at half or a third of the price of the downtown hotels. Yes, you had to take a taxi to get back across the river, but they were plentiful and only charged a flat […] rate of less than $20, one way. The guy even gave us his card and we called him as soon as we were ready to come back to the hotel. He picked us up 10 minutes later. Also, by staying on the West Bank...NO parking fees. The only gripe I have concerns the beds...not incredibly comfortable, but they got the job done. Staff was very accomodating and the breakfast in the lobby the next morning was pretty decent. No made-to-order omlettes, but there was a belgian waffle griddle! If the lobby breakfast isn't your thing, there's an IHOP right in the parking lot. Devamı

This hotel was very comfortable. The staff was incredibily helpful, very friendly. The IHOP in the parking lot was staffed with an equally friendly staff. There's a shopping center behind the hotel that has a limited amount of stores. I went to the Dollar Store for shaving cream and found lots of other businesses within a few minutes. Rooms were small and cramped. No area to change clothes in private. Staff was friendly. Location was ok.

It was the cheapest name brand hotel that didn't have hourly rates. It is located right across from a Denny's and just seconds from Route 10 but the surrounding area is not some place that I would want to hang out in or stroll through some shops. Plus, since I had to go into the city each day I had to pay a toll to get across the bridge (didn't break […] the bank at only 1 dollar one way). The service was great though and on the third night they switched me to a room with a refrigerator/microwave without giving me a hassle. The room was modestly cleaned and smelled good... except when the neighboring tenant started smoking in his bathroom. The shower area was tiny with equally tiny bath towels but I was able to take a hot shower and the pressure was fine. Internet was fine though a tad slow but at least I never lost connection and it was up the whole time. Breakfast was slim pickings but you could grab a bagel, juice and an apple and be on your way. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We were sent to this hotel due to its parking for oversized vehicles which did relate to us. The gentleman at the front desk was super sweet and deserves to work at a better hotel. Once we checked into our room, it smelled, the bathroom light didn't work and the air conditioner didnt either. We called back […] to the desk and were moved. The new room was a little better but still not the greatest. We originally were staying two nights but couldn't bare it another night and moved to a Holiday Inn across the street that was much much better. Devamı

The management and staff are nice and accommodating but they can only do so much with a place like this. The rooms are "cleaned" but I don't think they've actually been scrubbed in a long time. The carpet is disgusting, bathroom tiles are broken, there are old scuff marks on the tiles, tub, and toilet. The tub was yellowed, grim and hair every where. […] Just overall gross! I never walked barefoot and couldnt wait to get out of there. And I saw a dead cockroach in the lobby. On top of that the free breakfast was only a few items and the coffee machine spigot looked so grimy that I couldn't even drink it. The only good thing I can say is that it's 20mins from the airport and 15mins from the French quarter. The area also felt safe. However, theres a large well know chain hotel across the street, just stay there. Overall, I would never stay there agiain and would never let anyone I know stay there. I had future reservations at a different La Quinta Inn in a different city and cancelled it and don't plan to stay at this chain ever again. Devamı

Helpful Staff, clean. Right next to a mall, short drive to some good restaurants, downtown, uptown and the French Quarter with all of the great restaurants.

The pictures online look so much better than what it actually is. The hotel room we were at smelled SO bad!!! It is not a place that I would recommend to anyone. Very disappointed!!!!

The hotel was nice as well as located in a wonderful area, mall and ihop next door, cab ride downtown $12 each way and not to far from the ferry if you want to park and ride.
