Horrible had to leave hotel first night! The pool did not Work! !

Front desk staff bends over backwards to accommodate and make sure we were comfortable and all our lodging needs were met.

Nice, clean hotel with plenty of amenities; good looking indoor pool, business center's printer wasn't working, nice restaurant with good food, nice lounge area, though it is shared with front entrance. The room was comfy and quiet, the internet (both WiFi & DSL) weren't free and they were slow. The shuttle doesn't service O'Hare, though the airfield […] is 4 miles from the hotel, the terminals are 7 miles and therefore they don't provide shuttle service (taxis are the only way). Devamı

The staff is friendly and accomodating and the hotel is very clean.

Hilton's Double tree used to be a premier location for the local industrial companies to do stay. It has an impressive property with the water surrounding etc. However, even with all the amenities and nice floor plan layouts of the rooms the hotel is aging. My shower didn't work as a result of poorly maintained plumbing, so I had to change rooms (lovely). […] The staff is helpful and courteous, but some of the people at the front desk aren't the brightest bulbs in the box. The rates are high because they fill up Sun-Wed with local corporations with contracts. Some visitors stay months at a time. Devamı

The staff were lovely, but this property has seen better days. The carpet and the wing-back chair in our room had some creepy stains - probably coffee, but who knows. The shower was mildewy.

Great hotel, not too far from the highway and very little traffic to deal with. When you check in, they give you a warm cookie. Nice touch, and it was delicious :)

Horrible customer service - was lied to 2 time during my stay about other rooms being available and also a shuttle to the train station. My room smelled of marijuana and there was nothing done to fix it. Will not be returning to this hotel, ever.

We were looking for a Hotel with a better location.

Very nice hotel, it would seem a bit out of the way if you're not familiar with the area. I had a non-smoking room with the sliding glass doors ( as some of my friends are smokers) I think it would be appreciated if the hotel supplied ashtrays on the balconies for smoking guests instead of guests throwing their cig butts on the ground. Also, some place […] to sit on the balcony/patio would be nice. The sliding glass door was so hard to open. Need to fix that. Also the pool the 1st nite was way too hot! I felt like a boiled lobster after being in there for 20 minutes! And the only other complaint I have ( not really a complaint just a strong suggestion) They really need to have a guest laundry area. Im NOT going to pay $20.00 just to have my underwear washed! They want to have great customer service, it would be greatly improved if their guests did not have to drive a few miles just to wash some clothes! Other then that the hotel is wonderful and I will definitly consider staying there again on my next trip home! Devamı

Not expensive, clean hotel. Rooms well maintained though had to pay extra for internet access - that sucks. Overall, good hotel though location for me on my trip was too far from Chicago.

Great stay overall!! The kindness once you arrive to the giant breakfast buffett to the nice warm hot spa and cool pool was very satisfying before and after a full day at the convention center! Made me feel right at home and very accomodating! Highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying right by the convention center, airport or a nice stay just […] outside of Chicago! Thanks! I rented this hotel because I had recently rented at double tree in Gatlinburg Tn and was pleased with the hotel for the price However this hotel was in terrible condition there was a stench of raw sewage as you entered the hallway the lighting in the room was very poor light bulbs were missing from the lamps the sliding glass door was broken there […] were very few plug ins, 10 dollar a day charge for Internet and no continental breakfast I will not be renting anymore double tree hotels. If you're looking for something more economical and don't mind being outside of the heart of Chicago, this place was great. There's a train station 2 miles away that runs hourly and costs $4, very convenient. The staff was lovely and welcoming and the room was well maintained. Have a pool and fitness center. It IS the suburbs, but the train puts you […] in the heart of the city so there's no need to be close to anything surrounding the hotel. Only complaint was if you want to eat breakfast there you have to do the pre-fix breakfast and can't order a la carte. Otherwise a really really nice stay. Devamı

Beautiful hotel, only complants are no fridge in the room, their was a lamp that we had to unplug to shut off because it was broken, and the bathroom needs some updating. We would definately go back there especially for the price.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. That is the positive angle. On the other side, the pool had exposed pipes from old railings and the stairs into the hot tub were missing its bottom step. Very dangerous. Locks weren't working on many doors of the hotel. Only given one room key and...a surcharge for Internet? Really? Chintzy...and no […] amount of free cookies is going to change my opinion. Devamı

We enjoyed staying at this hotel and would definitely stay again. The only suggestion I have, is that they pool door stay closed in the morning. It had been open and we were awoke to the sound of screaming children.

It was our first time in Chicago. Couldn't ask for a better Hotel. The beds where comfortable,rooms where nice. We were close to the airport but we could only hear the plans when we were coming or going. was very quite.We have no compants.

Hotel was well placed for us coming from Ohio and meeting family from NE Iowa. Hotel was quiet, clean, no evidence of construction or other problems. It is set in a business/light industrial area near ORD but don't let that bother you. Breakfast was typically pricey at $12 but Bentley's Pancake House is a short drive and was exceptional.

I was in town to visit my daughter and we had a ball. The bed was so comfortable, that I didn't want to get out of it. The food was so good, I bit my finger. And the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed.

My initial impression of my room (king-size bed) was very favorable. Indeed, the bed is quite comfortable and it has a nice ambience. My #1 complaint is that the heavy curtains don't close. Their tracks just end. So it wasn't dark in the room when I turned out the lights due to all the street lights coming in. That seemed ludicrous. Another problem […] that I had, specifically, was that my next-door neighbors would stay up late and either chat loudly or watch television at a high volume. The walls were much, much thinner than anticipated. When I first turned on my own TV, the remote clearly had a problem. That was fixed about 3 minutes after I called the front desk because they sent someone up with a new remote (fresh batteries). Problem solved. There were quite few channels, however, so I ended up turning in early. The breakfast in the morning was, I thought, fabulous, though service was slow at best. It said "Wait to be Seated," but the one guy was off poking around and doing something, so most of us ended up seating ourselves. The made-to-order omelets were delicious!! Also had some nice options for cold food (good fruit, yogurt, granola, etc) and the coffee was good. Again, very nice atmosphere in the Garden Cafe. The front desk staff was simply fabulous. They were courteous, smiling, and extremely helpful. When my boarding pass wouldn't print at the business center, they helped me out. They also called a cab for me, and that was a very pleasant ride (though I don't know the name of the company). The location was not very convenient for me since I'd flown into Midway Airport ($49 cab fare), but it's much closer to O'Hare (I attended a seminar at this place). Overall I would probably recommend the hotel, but my one overarching complaint was the light coming into the rooms. There's no excuse for that. Devamı

Great people, amazing place and I will be back for both personal and professional business. I had such a great time with the staff there, I actually hugged a few when I left. I travel all over the US for business and this was by far the nicest group of people I had the pleasure of meeting. They made my trip !!! Thank you

this place was great! the hotel staff was excellent, the food was great, everything clean, comfortable, there was a pool and hot tub, we didn't have to ask for anything for our room - enough was stocked. the area was somewhat secluded - away from any traffic and other businesses. having free internet to look up delivery places, and being able to use […] the input on the tv to watch a dvd would have made it perfect for us. would probably stay there again, just not bring the laptop or any movies. I've stayed at this hotel many times and it's comforting that it's always the same as far as friendly service and cleanliness. Who doesn't love a warm cookie when they check in?!

The room we recieved was beyond expectation. We recieved a King suite with a bedroom and about 40" t.v with a partial view and a additional living area with couch , t.v and desk. Breakfast buffet was beyond par. The room itself was great for romantic retreat but the pool was crowded and dull and the waiter/bellboys/food staff was low class. They had […] bad breathe, and manners. Only recommend if you want to retreat and dont want many services or outings besides the mall. Devamı

I had a great stay at the hotel. The room was nice and cool. The bed was soft, the bathroom was large. The staff was really nice too; one of the maids left a note with a smiley face on it telling me to have a good day. I would stay here again and again. Nice hotel but not warned about remodeling which resulted in strong smell of glue, no computer access, misc tools left by construction workers over the weekend by entrances and exits. Nice hotel but could have received an advance notice about going ons.

The hotel was under construction. I arrived late on a Thursday night. The front desk agent was pleasant enough, but he put me in a room that was 60 rooms away from the elevator so it was quite a haul with my bags. The bar and restaurant was closed, and I was thirsty. I looked for water on my floor - nothing. I had to go back down to the front desk, […] he told me to go to the second floor. I went there, found a vending machine but it was inoperative. I went back down to the front desk and on the way ran into a hotel employee; I asked him where I could find some bottled water and he said, "Front desk". So I ended up back there and had to pay $2 for a bottle of water that he had at the front desk all along. I think the front desk agent should have offered me one the first time I inquired. Take a note. The room was clean, comfortable. However, construction noises started very early in the a.m. (7-ish), and there were workmen blocking the stairwells and the halls so it made it uncomfortable trying to squeeze by them when I left the following morning. I went to the front desk to check out, and the girls took my card key and that was that. No thanks, no "did you have any charges on your bill", no offer of a receipt, nothing. I waited outside after squeezing through the front door which was now locked on the other side, rolling my bag across broken flooring. A hotel shuttle guy drove up and asked if I needed a ride. I was going to the airport but he wasn't going there (15 minutes away). He only took people to and from the commuter train station. Sort of useless. I suppose all of this was due to construction but I later dropped into the nearby Hyatt in Itasca and I will choose that one next time I'm in the area, which is often. The front desk people there were much more accommodating to me, and I wasn't even a registered guest. Devamı

Generally this is a nice property. I was there to get a good deal on a suburban Chicago hotel (take train into downtown). It's not too far from the train station, but it is pretty far out from O'Hare. Further than I expected. The room was nice. Beds were fantastic, but the temperature settings were FREEZING. I think the auto temp should be much higher. […] I like hotels that conserve, so the temp was a turnoff, however I was happy to see the recycling bins in the room. the hotel was undergoing renovations, so I didn't see the rest of the property as I spent little time in the building. The first floor was a little noisy from the other guests and the fact that our room faced the garden area where people hung out. Solid hotel, really nice staff but next time I would probably stay a little closer to the city. Devamı

The rooms were very clean and the bed was awesome. Would have liked a refrigerator in the room. Carpet in the hall/stairways needs updating. Would stay again!

This hotel was extremely nice. They gave a cookie at check-in and it was a nice little touch. The only thing that we had a problem with was the pool closing at 11 and there were no grocery stores or restaurants in the area. Overall the hotel was clean, comfortable, and decently priced.

Not enough lighting in the room, can't believe there was a $10.00 a day fee for internet and there was no microwave or mini frig. There were also a great deal of problems for the card/key readers for the exterior doors. we had to try over twenty tiomes or go to different entrances.

I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Doubletree. It was very quiet, probably because it was Memorial Day weekend and it is located in an amazingly pretty, well-landscaped business park. The room was spacious and had a small balcony overlooking a landscaped courtyard. My only concern, and it is with most hotels, is that the air-conditioning/heating […] system makes the loud blower noise when it is on. Fortunately it wasn't so warm and I could keep the unit off when we were sleeping. I missed the notice that breakfast closed on Memorial Day at 10:00am instead of the 11:00am posted on the hotel info in the room. We had a party of 4 and were turned away at 10:00, even though 2 of us had been waiting in the lobby for 10 minutes. Other than that our dinner meals were outstanding and the chef was particularly pleasant and went out of his way to make our 5 year old granddaughter feel special. We will definitely stay at the Doubletree again on our frequent visits to Chicago to visit family. Thanks! Devamı
