Brown Palace Hotel & Spa - Denver

If you're a historical buff, you'll fall in love with this hotel. It resonates a unique classic charm. However, don't expect it to be modern. The wallpaper and carpet are very busy and may cause a bit of vertigo when you first step into the hotel. The room is fairly clean but there's hardly any water pressure in the shower. There's no mini bar and no […] bathtub. The room is spacious. Service could be better. The concierge was missing during the busiest part of the day (dinner time where there was a line of guests wanting to ask about car service or restaurant recommendations). Turn down service was very late. We were already in bed on both nights when housekeeping knocked on the door asking if we want turn down service. Weird! The afternoon tea wasn't that fantastic. We've have had better elsewhere and the waitresses weren't very attentive. The spa is a must-go, worth every penny. The hotel is located one block away from 16th Street Mall which is very convenient. There's a free light rail on 16th Street which will you can hop on/off and you'll be spoiled for choices on dining options. Devamı

We were greeted with champagne and a happy crew. After relaxing for a bit in the room we had a great meal at the Ship Wreck Tavern followed by a wonderful massage at the spa. The 16th street mall an movie theater were great entertainment on our relaxing romantic getaway. would definitely do it again here!

Musty smell as you enter. Needs updating. Great location and great service

The location of this hotel is perfect and the architecture was really unique. Kind of old-timey luxury... It seemed like every time we returned to our room it had just been cleaned, there was literally ice in our ice bucket that had not had a chance to melt. We ordered room service for breakfast that was delicious. The only drawback we found was the […] bed. We like them soft and cozy but it was a little too firm...just personal preference though. I have stayed here several times but this time was a but off No hot water only warm Room was hot and tough to cool Room very small and repeatedly whacked knee and feet on bed posts Otherwise fine

Excellent hotel with attention to guest satisfaction. We rebooked for a future stay.

The room was great, the bed was very comfortable and the service was second to none!

Great hotel in ideal location in downtown Denver. The in-house restaurants are very good especially The Ship's Tavern. The entire hotel staff was very professional especially Stacie at the Front Desk. The room was very clean and was perfect for our wedding anniversary stay. Great location only a short walk to all the shops on the 16th Street Mall. The hotel itself is an older building with lots of charm and character. Got a great deal on our room and would definitely choose to stay here again over any of the big box hotels in the area.

Turn down at 6:15 when we just got there.Took the flowers and stawberries our children sent before we were finished with them and walked in on me when I was in the bathroom .Even tho I was telling the maid we were there.For the rest of the sevice to be A+ this was awful.And I had to walk into my daughters home without the flowers which Im sure cost […] a nice amount of money. A lovely hotel with a rich history. The central atrium is spectacular, with two excellent restaurants off of it on the ground floor. We enjoyed a self-guided walking tour of the hotel, and the staff were very helpful and informative. I do have a pet peeve: for the price, I think the hotel should have free internet service in all the rooms. Have been gong to The Ships Tavern for 60 years. It is still a classic.....The best casual bar in Denver. And the menu is still the best...

It was my first trip to Denver....Loved the Brown Palace Hotel. Had a great room and thought the location was excellent. The Brown offered excellent service for all that we needed...ie...cabs, directions, etc. We were also offered a free ride to anywhere in the area we needed to go!!! unheard of anywhere else. close to the capitol, art museum, great […] restaurants. just loved our three days and nights there. would love to return to Denver and would definitely stay at the Brown. I grew up in CO and have always wanted to stay at the Brown Palace. I think I waited too long. While the room was comfortable and spacious, this was not a four star experience. The room was quite dusty and not clean. There was left over trash from a previous guest under the desk and dirty baseboards and shelves in the bathroom. I wondered how long it […] had been since there was a guest in there. The heater did not work properly and was difficult to adjust. It ran all night long. The building itself is charming and full of history. The spa is well organised and the massage therapists are all well trained. However, the obligatory 20% gratuity may be a bit steep especially for visitors from countries where gratuity is at choice. Our room key never worked properly even after asking the front desk to have maintenance/security check into the problem. We had at least 8 keys produced and never would a key work without sliding the key in and out several, several times. We finally made sure to have at least one person in the room when we could to let the other in. The express check […] out wasn't available the morning we left. I called valet 20 minutes prior to our leaving and when we got to the valet podium, our car wasn't there even though they weren't busy as no other car(s) were there. So, 15 minutes later we had our car. I am very disappointed in our stay at the Brown Palace as when you pay for a 4 Diamond hotel's services that is what you expect. Devamı

Everything about this hotel is perfect EXCEPT (and this is a big one) the annual debutante ball took over the ENTIRE hotel. Restaurants were closed, music pounded until 2AM room parties went until 4AM. I was travelling with my 87 year old mother and it was very difficult for her. The hotel is in a great location and access to the rest of the city is excellent. Plenty of restaurants on site alone, 1 block away from 2+ miles of shopping and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and accomodating and go above and beyond to please the guests.

The Brown Palace Hotel provides a six star experience, on a five star scale. The staff is friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. This is a nice hotel, pricey but well situated. I was at exhibiting at the convention center which is a nice walk. The restaurants are over priced, you can get the same food for half the price and the same quality on 16th street. The rooms are crowded with furniture and the posts on the bed are just the right height to catch your foot every time.

This was our first time staying at the Brown Palace. I was worried that it would be out of date. But our room was very comfortable, with high quality sheets, mattresses and pillows. Also the bathroom was newly remodeled in an "old style", and worked very well. First night- call from room service at 12.35AM (wrong room)- reported to concierge & front desk 2nd night- fire alarms at 3AM & 4.20AM. Odd bathroom door, affording little privacy. No soap in bathroom on arrival, & none available from service cart. Pleasant hotel employees, especially car valets, but generally a very disappointing stay-

Attentive and helpful hotel staff from arrival to departure over 3 night weekend visit. Fast valet service, porter, front desk and concierege all did a very good job. Eight story open comfortable lobby offering cocktails, afternoon tea(popular) and evening live music(piano trio) which can be heard throughout most of the hotel. Elegant fine dining room-The […] Palace Arms- with superb food and service(a little old shcool but perfectly executed) comfortable bar with cigars for those who endulge, Casual dining in the Tavern (one dinner) was quite good( French onion soup/ prime rib and dessert) service spot on. Brunch at Ellyngtons overrated. Standard selections, nothing extaordinary, mediocre to poor service. Maid kept room clean with twice daily service. We had an 8th floor "suite," rooomy, well appointed, comfortable bed, good size bathroom and shower(no tub if that's a must for you). Some noise from service elevator/carts could be heard in the room, street noise as well, but not overly intrusive. Good location in the center of downtown Denver. Wak to state capital building, museums, performing arts...also plenty of resturants and shops along 16th Street Mall and Larimer Square. All walking distance or free city shuttle runs along the mall to shorten walking times. Would stay again. Devamı

Our stay at the hotel was lovely. Wonderful service and the room was amazing. Only a few blocks from the site of our concert. Had dinner downtown and walked the 16th Street Mall. I highly recommend the Brown Palace Hotel.

I rarely give any hotel a 5 star rating, however, this one deserves top honors in my opinion. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

I know this is supposed to be a historical landmark and very fancy and all but honestly, my husband I stayed one night here and the rest of our vacation at Embassy Suites and I liked that hotel better. The only thing we asked of them was for another mug for our room coffee maker and no one brought one for us. This is a grande dame of Denver. Gorgeous lobby with high tea on Saturday afternoon. Staff is friendly, helpful and attentive Valet service very prompt.. I overheard a tour being given of the space where the Beatles stayed on the 8th floor in 1964, and the manager invited me to tag along to see the Eisenhower Suite which was frequented by the Presidential […] Couple in the 50's and recently occupied by Hillary Clinton. The 16th Ave pedestrian mall, with a number of great restaurants, bars and movie theatre is a quick walk as are the Capitol Bldg and Denver Art Musuem. Overall a great visit.
