Great location, walking distance to the beach the hotel service was great. However this hotel needs be upgraded.

The hotel staff was very very helpful and friendly. The rooms are nice, and the maid service is great. The hotel is not right on the beach, but a short walk from a public beach location with white sand, clear water and public restrooms. There are not many hotels on the beach in Destin, and the ones that are cost a lot more money. This is a great compromise, […] of price, and location. We just spent a week at the Hampton Inn during spring break and it was great. Room was clean; staff was very courteous and helpful; free breakfast was excellent; location is just a two minute walk to the beach and The Back Porch restaurant (most popular seafood restaurant in Destin). The Hotel displayed Great Service, cleanliness, Good breakfast & a very convenient location. Breakfast was great, my kids loved their pancakes and hot eggs breakfast with healthy choices of fruits, , juices, yogurt, tea, oatmeal, etc. We definitively are going back there next time. We chose this hotel because it was right across the street from the beach. Also it had several great reviews. The location is great. There are several great well known restaurants within a couple miles. Just down the road is Destin Commons, the best shopping in the area. Less than five minutes walk is the Back Porch restaurant right on the beach. The […] food and atmosphere is great. Within four minutes walking you can have toes in the sand on the beach. So if you want to be in the center of the action and super close to the beach, this is a great place. The service was great and the staff was top notch friendly and helpful. We got a call next day from the staff to see if everything was going well. The breakfast in the morning was pretty good, better than your typical continental breakfast. We were there four days and had breakfast there each morning. We reserved a king size bed. Upon arrival she asked if we wanted to be on the beach side because there was a view of the ocean and it was quieter. It however had two queens. We went with it. Because of the size of the rooms, it's better to go with the king bed. I looked in some other rooms with kings and wish we'd had stayed in the king room. There's not much of a view of the ocean because of other Condos in the way. The rooms were adequate and clean. They have everything you need including a good sized frig and a microwave. We enjoyed the free internet service. The beds were fine, not great. All in all, I'd say it was a great stay and would recommend it to anyone who wants to be close to the beach. First night we got there toilet would not flush they fixed by 11 the next day. Went shopping came back that night could not get in room. We paid for 3 days two nights but they only had us 1 day 1 night. So me and my three year stood outside in the rain while my husband went to find all this out.

We were extremely pleased with our stay at this hotel. Everything was clean and updated. The complimentary breakfast was awesome, We were super pleased with our stay and diffenantly will stay there again and recommend it to everyone...

Rec'd a room upgrade that was really pleasant. Well located for food, shopping and the beach. Enjoyed that several places were in walking distance. My husband loved access to their Wi Fi. Not the grandest place to stay, but for a nice winter weekend it was really pleasant. Thanks for the reviews, it it the guide I used in selecting this location.

From the picture you can't tell that the rooms are entered from the outside. I have always had good luck with Hampton Inn's, but I wasn't impressed with this one.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Hampton very much. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean & comfortable and the location was good. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat!

Great hotel! Perfect Location. Right across the street from the beach. Right on the strip in Destin. Rooms were recently updated, and very NICE and comfortable. Staff was VERY helpful, and made tons of recommendations on what to do for fun and where to go! If I ever go back to Destin I will DEFINATELY stay here! A+++++

This was a smaller hotel but customer service was very nice. Very small breakfast area. The outside caused some concern visually, but the rooms were very nice and clean. Bed was comfortable and there was no smell in the room. It does have easy accessability to surrounding attractions, but there are much larger hotels in the area that made this hotel […] seem more like a motel. Great hotel for the price! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The beach was only a quick walk away. Breakfast was very nice compared to most, especially considering there is not a restaurant on property. Will definitely stay again!

This was my second time staying at this hotel. What's not to like? Great price and location.

The best three day stay in Destin, FL ever. Room was large, clean, and well maintained. Even with the airport nearby things were very quite, especially at night. The breakfast was the best of any hotel in resent memory and there was plenty of everything. I would gladly book this location again.

THIS WAS OUR FIRST TIME TO DESTIN, AND WE WILL BE BACK, AND WE WILL STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN! AT CHECK-IN, THE CARPET IN OUR ROOM HAD BEEN CLEANED AND IT WAS DAMP--TO BE HONEST, I WAS NOT HAPPY. THERE WERE NO OTHER ROOMS AVAILABLE AT THE TIME, BUT THE LADY AT FRONT DESK TOLD US THAT AS SOON AS SOMETHING CAME AVAILABLE, SHE WOULD GET US INTO ANOTHER […] ROOM--ALL WE HAD TO DO IS STAY IN THERE ONE NIGHT. THE NEXT DAY, I THINK HER NAME WAS STACY, CALLED ME AT 10:00 AM AND SAID SHE HAD US ANOTHER ROOM. THEY PUT US ON THE SECOND FLOOR WITH OCEAN VIEW! WOW! This is more like a motel with small pool. The location is very close to the public beach. You walk across the parking lot of hotel, cross the street and walk down a very narrow wooden walkway past a bar to the public beach. The bathroom is very small. The breakfast offered is of very low quality and the crowds are overwhelming. It is not a nice place. […] Stay on July 23, 2011. Too expensive for what you get. Hotel rooms run a little small. Perfect for my husband and I. Beds comfortable, comes with dorm fridge and coffee maker. Walk across the street to the beach. It's in amidst condos. Front desk staff very helpful. Breakfast is everything you need to start your day. Free frisbees at the front desk. Close to fun things. Down the street is Mc Guires Irish […] Grill which is known for their steaks. I had crab cakes which were great. Across from them is the Harbor walk. Went there around 4ish when all the fishing charter boats were coming back and people were getting their hauls cleaned. Fun bars, restaurants and shoppes their. Down the street the other way we rented jet skis to go on a dolphin tour. They took us out on the Gulf of Mexico and we saw 10 or 12 dolphins. Then got to ski full throttle in the bay. Loved this. Great stay

Friendly staff, great location (not on the beach, but quick walk to public access beach), hot breakfast, great rate and great beds! I would definately stay at this hotel again!

Nice staff, clean updated room, just a few minute walk to the beach. Very close to the awesome Back Porch Restaurant. Free breakfast had everything you need for a quick light breakfast plus a couple of hot foods including a waffle maker. I could split hairs over small things like water pressure but if you're going to the Destin to go to the beach and […] to go out and have fun, the little things are very inconsequential. The hotel was quite nice and located very close to the beach. But Saturday night there was a lot of loud partying going on, waking us up several times throughout the night.

We were a little scared about booking on Hotels.com, but we were surprised! The hotel was great! and the service was great! and We had a wonderful time. Thanks Hotel.com

Everything was fine in the room, just a little noisy during the night, due to traffic on the main road and the AC unit turning on /off was a little noisy. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Really nice hotel for the money we paid.

This motel is on a lovely street very near the beach! Our only complaint was that there was no ice on either floor on the evening when we arrived. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful. We would stay here again any time.

This hotel basically offers almost identical amenities and service as summer place inn but charges twice for it. Buyer beware!

We had a very pleasant visit to Destin while staying at the Hampton Inn. The service at the breakfast buffet at the Hampton Inn was especially friendly and efficient. The hotel is within a short walk to the beach and a nice restaurant on the beach with many indoor tables with views of the beach. Saw the sunset several times.

Great hotel. I have been here a few times and its always great. It is not directly on the beach but the beach take about 2 minutes to walk. Staff is very nice and the hotel is pretty well maintained. The breakfast is also really good.

We were only there 2 nights but the room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The free breakfast was satisfying and in a vacation area the free part helped us save for the fresh seafood dinners we enjoyed later. It is within walking distance to the beach and as the beachfront properties are mostly condos or high cost hotels I saw nowhere else […] I would have rather stayed. If I had any complaint it would be that I am in a wheelchair and I needed a handicap room It was on the second floor as far from the handicap parking and elevator as it could possibly get. That was just bad planning on the builders part and did not effect my opinion of the hotel. I gave it a 4 on maintenance because it was having minor work while we were there. The 4 on neighborhood was only because you cannot see the water from the hotel as it behind the tall condos that line the beach all along the areas waterfront but the area is easy to find and there is a light to get you on and off the busy road. The small pool and hot tub were very clean and pleasant. It has a full line-up off cable stations but the television in our room was at least 10 years old but if you come to a beach and fishing paradise and am concerned about the TV you are in the wrong place anyway. The Hampton Inn at Destin was a wonderful place to stay. The room, although small, was beautifully decorated. The furnishings were modern and obviously new. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed i've ever slept in, it had a beautiful white down comforter that was so soft. The room had a fridge and microwave, very convenient. The bathroom looked […] as nice and new as the rest of the room; not like other hotels where it looks so old and gross you're afraid to touch the walls in the shower. The location of the hotel was great. I believe the website said the only thing separating the hotel from the beach was a two lane road. Well, they left out the high rise hotels that ALSO stood between the hotel and the beach. This did not bother me in the slightest, because it is still extremely close and a very short walk to the beach (a min or two), BUT if you want a real view of the beach from your room then you won't get one here. The hotel is also a short walk, a minute or so, from the Back Porch restaurant, a great place to eat which overlooks the ocean. The hotel was very close in distance to everything we wanted to do in Destin. The staff at the front desk was very helpful on several occasions. My husband awoke in the middle of the night with food poisoning, and was very sick in the room. Due to the mess and the smell the staff quickly and gladly gave us a new room very close to our previous one. The next day our key card reader did not work, and the staff had it fixed in a timely fashion. They were very friendly and efficient. I will definitely stay here the next time we are in Destin.
