From the first minute entering the hotel until we returned home the experience was very satisfying, from the cleanliness of our room, to the first class breakfast.

When I returned from the hockey game around 11 pm there was no parking in the lot! At least this time my car was not harmed. MJM

have been here a number of times and found the room conditions to be deteriorating, wasn't even a chair that fit the desk, walked 3 floors to a wrking ice machine and gave up.

Great overall spot. Very fast access to the highway. Large shopping mall across the street and many restaurants nearby. Room was very comfortable and had good coffee in the room. Breakfast buffet was included in our package which made it even more affordable. Would go back anytime.

The Chimo was a good choice for the money. It met our basic needs, but did not provide the service you would expect from a mid range hotel. The rooms were clean, but did have an older feel. The location was safe and had easy access on and off the interstate. However, the WIFI was something to be desired. The signal was low and at night the system could […] not handle the guest usage. As for the conditions, the sidewalks were not maintained and covered with snow. Even the covered entry way was layered with a few inches of dirty snow that could have been easily shoveled several times a day. The staff was friendly enough to get by, but did not go out of their way to accomidate. It almost has a feel like the staff was limited in order for the hotel to function. I really think they missed out on the little things like cleaning the sidewalks and parking lots and upgrading their WIFI service. It was a place to sleep. Very clean - helpful staff, although I could hear music from the Lone Star next door. Also, since the hotel knew that we booked for 4 people it would have been nice to accommodate us with more towels.

The room was extremely cold when I got into it. It took more than 4 hours to worm it up.

Restaurant was pricey and we only ate there once. Food was good, just too expensive. I feel for the price of the room, breakfast should be included.

Accommodations were O.K., we had a 1 bedroom suite for 3 people. The bed was comfortable but had a terrible squeak in the mattress. Also, used the pull out sofa, very uncomfortable, could not sleep all night. The bathtub and sink did not drain properly. We did notify the front desk upon leaving. This was our second visit here. I every time to stay this hotel i allways enjoy to stay!!!!

Good value for the money but it has more competitors who offer more modern rooms and sericies.

it was an evening well spent in Ottawa and the Chimo was located in a very conveniant location

Stayed on business, wouldn't stay again. No room service. Service in the restaurant was slow and rather unfriendly although there we only a couple of tables with patrons. Management should train staff on friendly customer service techniques.

I was extremely disappointed with the condition of the carpet in our room. It had multiple stains. I also found a long strand of hair on my bedspread. I realize that it was up to me to request a room change but we were there for a short period of time and I did not feel that it was up to the young people at the desk to do this.

Why can't any hotel ever have a properlly draining shower, standing in a pool of filth is not the greatest feeling.

This hotel is in dire need of a serious updating. It is tired and smelly. The towels had a fringe - from not having an edge left on them! The towel would be better used to sand something. The shower did not drain, the stains on the carpet were gross. This is NOT a 3 star hotel. 1 1/2 stars, maybe.

Stayed at many hotels in and around Ottawa for business. Free parking, close to highways, clean rooms and friendly staff make this hotel my only choice. Have stayed over 30 days in the last year year. Stay 5th floor and higher for updated rooms. Need automated entry doors.

We were on a business trip required three queen rooms. Hotels.com had superior service and superior discounts A++ but if they dont know the quality of the hotel they are selling you could be staying in a back alley for all you know. The pics online were probably brochure pics from the turn of the millennium! The hotel was well worn, rooms were musty […] and carpets were used and abused. Young kids running up and down the halls and teens with strollers. The lady at the front desk admitted that they sometimes assist the family shelter when they are full....OMG!!! I was afraid what cleanliness would NOT be in my bed. Our accommodations turned out to be two doubles in each and she denied being able to change it because she did not have direct contact with the hotels.com link to confirm such reservations she even had difficulty finding the reservation in the first place. Good location. Close to St. Laurent Shopping Centre can leave car at hotel and walk across to the mall. Very convenient. Good spot!

Hotel is in a great location and is convenient for me when I stay in Ottawa. I would like to make a suggestion that better lighting be provided in the bathrooms. The lighting is very dim and difficult to attend to hair, makeup, etc. All other aspects of the hotel are very good. Thank you.

Should have been notified that the pool was down for repairs. Would have changed hotels if we were aware.

It was a nice experience

I booked through Hotels.com for the Chimo Hotel. They claimed on the webpage that they had an indoor pool, however when we got there the hotel had posted notices that the pool was closed for maintenance from Oct 20 to 26 (during our stay) and no where on the web page did they indicate that. Also they claimed to provide complimentary internet - wireless. […] I stayed in room 801 and during the course of our stay was only able to access the interenet three times as the signal was too week. Upon check out the staff advised that they had had trouble in that corner with internet the week before - but gave no indication when we checked in of that. For the price we were not happy. Devamı

Overall experience was great, only real complaint was in regards to the bar next to it the hotel. They played loud music which is easily heard through the walls until about 3am. Otherwise, our experience was great.

second time we have stayed at this hotel, quiet and clean, and will stay there again.

The Hotel is Fine Rooms are nice and very comfortable Having the restaurant there is handy but lots of places around there to eat . Just that is is on the east side of Ottawa so depending on where you want to go it is very convenient 3 stars

A clean and comfortable room. Staff were friendly and the buffet breakfast was very good. I would stay here again.

My kids were very excited to go swimming only to find out that the pool was closed for a week. We were not informed ahead of time nor was it posted on the website. Also, i went to the front desk to ask for a wine glass...i was told it would be brought to my room. After 30 mins called front desk and said not to bother.

I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. There were quite a few mixed reviews so I didn't know what I was getting into. The room was very clean and there was lots of room. The buffet breakfast was excellent and nice to get a hot breakfast these days at any hotel. It was nice that it was across from the mall and so close to the train station because […] I was needing to cab everywhere. I didn't need to go right downtown for work so I don't know how close it was but it was close to the hospitals where I was working for a few days. Devamı

The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly especially in the restaurant and Pub... The room was great and very clean, the only complaint I have was the bed was a little hard for me but other than that very nice....

An older hotel but well maintained and while not down town is just across the road from a major bus interchange. Easy to get to if traveling by car.

Every thing is excellent except no laundry room.

Hotel worn and dated and the worst lightning in a bathroom we have ever seen, hot tub broken the whole weekend Restarant very friendly

We really enjoyed our stay at Chimo and would certainly go back and would recommend the hotel to others.The staff was great and location was good as well.

Our stay in Chimo hotel was for vacation purpose, and we did not feel great with hotel staff taking care of your needs. Quick snapshots - - No Coffee was available - No dark out curtains in room - Cheap quality of toiletries - Breakfast hotel staff were very rude and everyday day the same hot buffet was served, no change. - Post stay, hotel makes a […] authorization charge and they cannot explain the purpose on it? The only real problem was the conditions of the beds as they were totally froken down from years of usage and extremely uncomfortable. The staff were very pleasant ana cccomodating. Meal prices are a litle expensive but service is good..

Mediocre

We enjoyed our stay. The service in the bar and restaurant was very good and their staff was also helpful and very friendly especially to my small grandsons. The room was fine and bed comfortable. The hotel is conveniently placed for visting my family so I expect we will stay there again.

I purely went by the hotel reviews and made my booking here in Chimo Hotel. Coffee - They take 2 days to change the coffee machine and coffee in my room from Decaf to regular as they claim to be sold out and overly busy to do so....there is no complimentary coffee so you land up paying a hefty amt each time you need a cup! Internet - The connectivity […] was poor, again, claim to be sold out and therefore, many users make it busy. Breakfast - The entire hotel reads breakfast time as Mon-Fri: 6:30am to 10:30am, when at the restaurant at 6:30am, they say we open at 7-11am? I returned at 10:45am and they claim to close at 10:30?
