Lack of maintenance in room, bathroom door would not lock.

Suprized not having lift or elevator to move the baggage.

The hotel was a good location compared to San Fran, but it's nothing like the pictures online. The safety lock on the door was broken so we didn't feel completely safe. Also, it said their was breakfast online, and there wasn't any food.

The holel is rooms are old and not very clean. I stayed at the hotel many years ago with the previous owners. The rooms were fresh, and clean. This hotel is not clean. And smells old.

Good thing : location, free wifi, price, space. Bad thing : breakfast (they serve a pack of juice and bread which one sells in supermarket.)

The hotel is run by a family and they were very accommodating and friendly. I showed up several hours before check-in with a lot of luggage and they held it for a few hours. I'd just gotten off a long flight and they even let me use a room to shower up when I arrived! Very convenient to campus, and there's a Trader Joe's across the street.

Convenient location -- easy to park, then walk to theater and all downtown Berkeley. Comfortable bed, handy to have fridge and microwave in room Bring your own ground coffee for the coffee maker if you want satisfying taste. Great value for all you receive.

I had an overnight stay here and it was quite all right for a budget hotel. It's conveniently located close to 4th Street and several restaurants walking distance & down the street from UC Berkeley. Not fancy and I wouldn't do a long stay there but doable for a night or two.

The location is good. Close to BART, supermarket is just outside. The hotel provide a basic room. A surprise to see the room has microwave oven and fridge. However, no space for you to store even your backpack after check out. Also has no computer if you to checkin freight and print boarding pass.

This Travelodge far exceeded expectations--the room and bathroom were immaculate, the appliances and fixtures were new and in excellent condition, and the walls appeared to be freshly painted. The bed was very comfortable. At night I heard no outside noise whatsoever. Staff were courteous and friendly. There was plenty of parking. The price was just […] right. Location was quite convenient for everything I needed to do. I'm not sure why it only has a two-star rating; IMHO, this Travelodge rates at least a 3. Devamı

Relatively inexpensive and within walking distance to everything in downtown Berkeley. The decor was dated and dingy-looking in places. The street was noisy, as were the neighbors who played music at random hours around the clock. The only way I got any sleep was to wear earplugs *and* run the ventilator/heater all night. Beware the shower: whenever […] someone in another room flushed the toilet, the temperature of the shower would shoot up about 30 degrees in a fraction of a second. run-down but cheap. Good location on university ave, close to campus. Housekeeper knocked on my door at 8:30. I skipped it 2 of the 3 mornings that I was there. Otherwise pleasant staff.

E internet didnt always work and was slow when it did, there was dead ants all over the bathroom and evenafter they cleaned them up more came. Thin walls.

The only good thing about the hotel was a surprisingly comfortable bed. (And I did like the color of the walls.) VERY small room! Paper thin walls. Dirty, old and ugly carpet and comforters. There was a super strong musty smell as soon as I opened the door. I will never stay here again. This small motel is very close to the campus and very convenient. The rooms are small but filled with more upscale amenities such as microwave, refrigerator, ironing board and iron, hair dryer. Overall excellent value.

Bring a clip to close the curtains - other than that it is a good basic Travelodge. My expectations were inline with the price I paid.

Only 15-20 min away from San Francisco and Fisherman's Wharf. Parking was adequate and the pricing was great.

Nothing fancy, fairly tight quarters. Parking lot is also a bit cramped. But the beds were comfortable, the place was clean, and the location worked well for us. Not a great area after dark unless you have a car. Fairly noisy.

The hotel was located in downtown Berkeley and made everything that Berkeley had to offer within walking distance.

The shower door on room 104 is very difficult to open. This room was cleaner than the last one I stayed in at this location but the maids need to vacuum behind the beds.

The motel is bland and has a crowded parking lot. The carpet behind the bed was filthy an d obviously hadn't been vacuumed in years. Electrical outlets were few and difficult to get to.

A clean convenient motel in Berkeley. Just ( minutes away from Berkely Campus and BART station. Nice location for restaurants and Trader Joe's just across the street. Only downfall are the size of the room and breakfast is a pastry and a juice.

Pretty basic hotel but it's centrally located on University within walking distance of Shattuck. The price was the cheapest around and I was able to walk to Telegraph and see Berkeley University. It's within easy walking distance of the Downtown Berkeley Bart station. Also there are affordable buses that go up and down University for $2 or a little […] more each way. Also, unlike New York buses that require exact change and don't take bills the Berkeley buses do take singles and that makes traveling on them way better. There's a great restaurant called Au Cocolet nearby that stays open until 1 AM and it's good food. If you want a burger there's a nice burger place that stays open late like 10 steps from the Travelodge called Giant Burger or something like that. You get WiFi in the hotel room and it's a no frills hotel but other than that it's clean and at a great location. Devamı

Perfect for location nearby UC Berkeley, nice walk to Shattuck with many eateries of all kinds and convenient. Comfortable accomodations, nothing fancy.

If you need to stay close to the university this is a great location. The front office people were very nice and you can walk to everything; great restaurants and bars close by as well as the Freight & Salvage Company that hosts concerts most every night, and the Berkeley Repertory Theatre. When I opened the door to my room, I was shocked. Instead of the old Motell 6s I have stayed in, this was a modern clean room with contemporary furnishings. It even had a swimming pool. It is really quite a step up from the traditional Motel 6s, which is appropriate considering the cost of the room, which caught me a bit by surprise. Room was adequate in design and locagtion is just in a typical area near the UC Berkeley campus. One of our party got over 100 bug bites in a single night stay. The other two got none. NOT BEDBUGS! Also there were burns and tears in the bedding and drapery. Staff was perfunctory and offered no warmth or congeniality in their work.

If you need cheap digs near the campus, Berkeley Travelodge will fit the bill. Sure, it's a bit tatty, but it was perfectly clean and sound, no bugs or glaring issues. University Avenue isn't quiet, but the room was comfortable. It's within walking distance of many things: coffee houses, restaurants, the campus, Berkeley Rep, Freight and Salvage and […] BART. The rooms have wi-fi and cable and off-street parking. If all you need is a basic room so you have a place to sleep and bathe, this is perfectly sufficient. Devamı

The staff is very nice, rooms are clean i stayed at alot of hotels in berkeley this by far is one of the best.

Everything was fine. clean, comfortable, fast internet, central to UC and restaurants, easy parking, staff was nice, TV was crummy, and a little road noise. I have a daughter at UC I will stay there again.

Decent for the price. Hotel housecleaning staff was very nice and attentive.

Close to UC campus and downtown Berkeley shops & restaurants. Able to walk to these facilities. Fairly quiet.

This is a very good place to stay, the location is excellent, the rooms are clean and housekeeping is very nice.
