I read the previous reviews before I reserved our rooms. Many of the previous reviews were positive so I booked our rooms. Hotel is about 3 blocks from Bourbon Street. An easy walk for my group's 50+ year olds who are in decent shape. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated. Our rooms were clean including the bathrooms. If you're going to […] Bourbon Street and the French Quarter you won't spend much time in the room except for sleeping so the rates are good if you have 2, 3 or 4 people in the room. We enjoyed a decent free breakfast in the morning. The hotel's parking lot is small and tight (not good for large vehicles or drivers who are lousy parkers) but it only cost $22.50 to park one night. That fee compares to most big city's rates so you shouldn't be shocked. We were in the area in late April so things might be different during Mardi Gras or big sporting events. Devamı

Location: It's on the border of the French Quarter, which was nice because it was a 5 minute walk to all of the restaurants and shops, while also not being inundated with the expected drunken shenanigans and volume (and sidewalk.... trash...) that comes with the craziness of bourbon street. Some reviews mention being a bad neighborhood, but i didnt feel where we were was any worse than the french quarter as a whole. (read: expect drunk, sketchy and homeless people everywhere, but they won't bother you). We actually found Rampart Street convenient for taxis/cars/tour buses to quickly and easily transport us for everything within the french quarter and to the rest of new orleans and the outer areas. Service: Our toilet would run for ours. Each day we told the front desk, nobody fixed it. Then we stopped having cold water, (Yes, that's correct, only hot water) which was annoying when showering (too hot) and brushing your teeth. Toilet filled with hot water... interesting... And when we asked front desk to fix it - "Ahh, just let it run" - (btw, that didnt fix it) . Alas, they were otherwise helpful getting us taxis, holding our luggage, etc. Condition: Room, beds, pool, all nice. Kept in perfectly fine condition, above average in terms of design, but nothing spectacular worth noting. There is a really nice courtyard/pool/patio area in the middle that is a fantastic place to hang out if you didn't have all of the other amazing new orleans attractions around you. The hotel was only three blocks from bourbon street. The hotel was clean and service was good. The parking area is a little small, but got the job done.

This hotel was quaint and clean, the room was amazingly nice. Impressed with all the service from the desk to the bar to the breakfast in the morning. Would highly recommended it and will definitely be staying there next time we get to New Orleans.

Realizing that New Orleans hotels can gouge people, this hotel is an reasonable option that is not far from Bourbon Street. Just don't stay there thinking it's going to be part of some romantic weekend.

Our stay was very nice. The room was clean and well maintained. It's near the French quarter and everything you need to have a good time. The only problem was that the photos/description of our double room was lacking...as it was just big enough to fit 2 double beds and 2 pieces of luggage. (The TV was the biggest thing in the room.) My room was moldy. It gave me allergies... woke up every morning with puffy eyes and a stuffed up nose. As soon as I left my room, it went away. Otherwise, really great price! If your room isn't like mine, then it's TOTALLY worth it.

We were in Louisana to ride the back roads and see the country side. Which was awsome! We stayed at this hotel mainly because it was priced right. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. It was dark and the beds were very comfortable for sleeping. The free breakfast was good and staff was very pleasant. It was a thre […] block walk to Bourbon Street which was OK, but a little tiring getting back to the hotel after a long day and night of walking. With in walking dietance of all that the French Quarter has to offer..

The location was a little far from the action but this did make it more quiet. Lots of walking. Cab was only about 6 bucks though so not bad if you were too tired to walk back. Front desk was helpful with tours and such. No restaurant on site and free breakfast was not impressive at all. Not impressive from street, but great hotel - much bigger than it appeared. Parking is TIGHT, we did not move our car during our stay for fear of not having a spot upon return. Room was comfortable and nicely decorated - enjoyed having a balcony overlooking pool and courtyard. We have never be in New Orleans before and booked this online. We were pleasantly surprised. The hotel has been recently renovated and the rooms were very clean, nice, and well decorated. We requested a room overlooking the courtyard and it was peaceful and had a beautiful view. The hot continental breakfast was one of the best we've ever had at a hotel. […] The desk staff was very helpful and told us what streets to stay on after dark and arranged a bus tour for us on our 2nd day. Hotel was fine. Do not accept a room on the front side. The traffic, trash removal and pedestrian traffic goes all night. Front desk clerk said only rush hour is noisey. WRONG. Second night I took sleep aid and was able to sleep. Might have well put bed in middle of blvd. If you take a room toward the back or courtyard side you might be alright.

Nice hotel, breakfast was great, just concerned about the surrounding neighborhood. We were told only to walk on one specific street which was safest in that area.

loved everything about this hotel except we never had hot water and rarely had warm water. The staff were wonderful and everything else was awesome.

The Best Western French Quarter was a very nice hotel. The rooms were beautiful. They actually seemed like they had been remodeled very recently. They had ample parking, tall enough for a luggage container on top of a Ford Explorer. Parking is extra but well worth the convenience. The Landmark Best Western French Quarter is a lovely, updated hotel, but several blocks away from the main attractions of the French Quarter. My room exceeded my expectations, as New Orleans in the neighborhood seemed a bit rundown. Most importantly, my room was clean and quiet, so I didn't mind walking a bit. Great value for money and an ideal location for the French Quarter, without being in the middle of all the noise and hustle and bustle. Highly recommended. Good breakfast too.

It's an old hotel but it keeps its unique southern style quite well. It's a little far from the river, but if you stop by somewhere else, you won't feel it's far at all. Attractive rooms, decorated in typical French Quarter style. Lovely courtyard garden with fountain and pool. Super location--blocks from Bourbon street. Courteous staff. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. This quaint hotel offered very affordable room and parking rates. Easy to find and close to Bourbon Street, but still provided a quiet night's stay.

We had stayed in center of French Quarter before cruise, but this was well within walking distance to everything. Had a great center court that was quiet and serene where we ate a late lunch. The hotel was surprisingly good. It's just that it was far from the airport, but only a walking distance to Bourbon street (which was utterly weird) and Cafe Du Monde. My girlfriends and I stayed in a room with two double beds. The beds were comfy enough, but the room was a little cramped, especially for girls who love clothes and make-up. When we got […] back from Bourbon street one night, we were giggly and chatty when our friendly neighbor started banging on the walls for us to keep quiet. I thought that was extraordinarily rude; a simple knock on the door to politely tell us to keep our voices down would have sufficed. This led me to believe that the walls are paper thin. And the room we stayed in was not inside the hotel building, we had to walk outside to get into the main lobby. In the cold of december, this wasn't exactly desireable. The only thing that I couldn't understand with the hotel structure (apart from some of the rooms being outside the main building), was the elevator. The elevator was ridiculously small. Three of us girls could get into the elevator, and no one else could; of course, you couldn't even fit in luggage. And we are not fat, by any means. All in all, I think the hotel was pretty good. The breakfast was very nice, and the people, very friendly. It is far enough from the french quarter, so you don't get the weird noises and people around, but it's close enough to walk there. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Maid service was lacking. Rooms were dark due to Dark Brown Paint on walls. Hotel location was on the outskirts of the French Quarters - okay to be walking around by day but recommend cab during the night.

I don't think one should have to pay for hotel parking when you check into a hotel. The parking should be free and that is the reason why I will not let my family members stay there for our family reunion in August 2012. I came there to see how far we were from the major attractions in New Orleans.

We were pleased from the front desk through our departure. The entire staff, from the front desk to housekeeping, were excellent; good attitudes and very pleasant. The breakfast was good. If one leaves hungry they can only blame themselves. Though the computers in the lobby were not working the front desk personnel allowed us to use one of their computers […] to print our boarding passes. Very nice hotel, Could walk to everything you want to do. Felt a little uneasy at nighttime but the front desk told us what streets to use at night and we did not have any trouble. Breakfast was nice. Would recommend this hotel as it is close to everything but not in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Bourbon street.

We chose this hotel because it was close enough to the French Quarter that we could walk to the attractions but not be in the middle of the fray. This hotel served that purpose well (even though it was a bit noisy still).

Had a wonderful and relaxing time in New Orleans and the Best Western was great. The Continental breakfast was the best. Thank you for a good and relaxing time with you and your staff.

Never been to New Orleans and we were only staying one night. We checked in and they only have 2 double or 1 king rooms. We were able to go look at both rooms and decide for ourselves which we preferred. We were told the only king left was a small room but we took it anyway. Very clean hotel with covered parking! We were able to walk to the French Quarter […] and had free breakfast before we left the next morning. Everyone was very friendly. Will definitely stay there again! Devamı

The hotel and staff was awesome, the neighbourhood - is scary

I do not recommend staying here at all! While the hotel itself was fine -- if you can stay somewhere without a restaurant -- but the location was horrendous. Yes, it's on a busy street and across from a very large park, but it's on the very edge of the French Quarter. If you plan to walk to Bourbon Street, you'll have to travel through several blocks […] of boarded up, empty buildings with few streetlights (gas, not electric). I did not feel safe at 7 AM let alone after dark! And a cab ride is not so cheap if you have to do it more than once a day. This was a side of the Quarter that really let you see this city is not at all fully recovered from the disasters. For your own safety, stay closer to Bourbon or Jackson Square as those neighborhoods are cleaner and safer in my opinion. Devamı
