I found the hotel to be very comfortable and everyone that worked there were very helpful in every way possible. The foods were very good and there was lots of food. I enjoyed the casino very much. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to friends and family.

The D Las Vegas was clean and conveniently located in the middle of The Fremont Experience. The complementary breakfast was excellent and the room quite adequate. Like many others, dispite booking a king room, none were available, although the hotel seemed to be not busy. Don't count on a king bed room, regardless of what is promised. Also, the hotel […] is very hard to find, since it's on The Fremont Experience, which is a pedestrian mall, with not vehicle access. Get good directions from the hotel at the time of booking. Hotel was in good location, decent rooms for the price. Parking garage is small and first 6 rows are for vallet so your constantly driving in a circle felt like a roller coaster. However access from garage elevators to room elevators is convient. Overall I had no problems with stay. Rooms seemed decent size even for a family of 4. Loved the location […] and it has a McDonald's in hotel great for kids. Halls are not long so walk from elevator to room is decent. And ice machine and soda machine where located near elevators so we didn't have to go to another floor or that! Devamı

This Hotel was in a great location, right where we wanted to be. If you plan to get some rest, don't stay here. You can hear everything from Fremont Street until it quiets down ~ 1:30am. Overall, the Hotel is fine. The mattresses could definitely be upgraded.

Even though the hotel is being remodeled we received amazing customer service from the receptionist and all the workers there at the hotel. Upon arriving at the D on my cross country move, I was appalled to find that they refused to park my uhaul trailer in the garage, because of space restrictions. I was staying a single night on a Sunday, so I know the garage was not full. When I asked to speak tot the manager about this, she told me I should have called to check if the trailer was allowed, […] that it was my fault for not calling. I was sent to a hotel over a mile away where I had to pay ten dollars to park my vehicle and trailer, (a service mentioned as being free on this website) and had to walk back to the hotel. As a single female staying alone, I did not enjoy being forced to walk back to the hotel at eleven at night on my own. The hotel itself was alright, smokey and poorly decorated, but perfectly adequate. If not for the terrible service and rude managers, I might have if not enjoyed, endured, my stay. Devamı

My family and I love staying in the Downtown Las Vegas area. The Fitzgerald is the best of the hotels down there. The hotel has been recently updated. It has a great restaurant, and it's central located to all the great stuff downtown has to offer. Our only complaint is that the hotel needs either more elevators or ones that hold more people. When checking […] out Sunday morning we could not get an elevator to get on. Five came by, but they were all full. We ended up carrying our luggage down 10 flights of stairs, which still wasn't that bad. Devamı

Very old and shabby rooms. Location is good if you want to be downtown, otherwise avoid. Rooms only have 2 power outlets, behind the bed, nothing near the work table. Bring a power strip and extension cord.

Everything was great would stay again

The "D", formally known as the Fitz is currently undergoing a name change and remodel. While our room was not one of the remodeled rooms, it was clean and comfortable. The hotel staff where all very friendly and helpful. I am looking forward to a return visit this fall to see how the improvements are coming along.

Overall we had a great time. Nice staff, easy check in. We had free breakfast with our room reservation... I would SKIP the breakfast and go somewhere else and pay for it! The food was obviously cooked ahead of time and set aside in buffet trays as it was COLD when it arrived at our table. The rib special we had one night while staying there was also […] COLD. Our room wasn't very clean (mom found leaves on her blanket under the bedspread!) Luckily we were not in our room much. If you need a cheap place to stay, it's good enough, but if you spend a lot of time in your room, you might try somewhere else. Devamı

When we booked this hotel it was called the Fitz and changed its name during our stay. There have been many improvements to the infrastructure and these were on going when we stayed. We were not inconvenienced by the changes and were told the hotel is having a complete refit over the next few months. The Staff were very obliging and the standards are […] generally good. The Casino gets packed and extremely noisy during the evenings and noise from Fremont Street can be deafening as there is a live stage performance every night just outside the main doors. The food service was good and the quality of food OK in the Courtyard Grill. We had free breakfast in the morning (excluding beverages) which was ample. The hotel is owned by the same people that run the Golden Gate on the other side of the street. This is also being renovated. The Downtown area in general is vibrant and getting a makeover which was long overdue. well worth the visit. Devamı

if you need a pathetic hotel, this is the one.........dirty filthy, falling apart, people smoking weed as smoking was not allowed.......washroom stink irritating at night as they dont have ventilation.above all, I had medical supplies which needed a fridge, which was not provided request after request..........STAY AWAY.

Sold in October the Fitz changed it's name to The D while we stayed there. Witnessed change out of all gambling tables and signage. Room was very clean, but obviously showing its age. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Hopefully new owner will give it a good updating. Enjoyed our stay.

Hotel is in nice location but disappointed that the poker room was closed down, beds not very comfortable but room was clean.

We stayed at Fitzgerald's Hotel in the Downtown part of Las Vegas for the 2012 Nascar weekend. Everybody from the valets, bellman and the registration desk were very friendly and courteous. Our room was on the 34th floor, as I had requested and had a great view. The room was very clean and comfortable. The McDonald's and Krispy Kreme donut store downstairs […] in the same building came in handy for snacks and quick meals. There are also other restaurants on the 2nd floor. This was our first time staying here and we were somewhat hesitant after reading some reviews. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we had none of the conditions they had complained about. Also, some workers there told us that they were in the process of upgrading and refurbishing the rooms now. We will definitely stay here again. Devamı

If you would like to sleep without the noise of the Fremont Street Experience, you have to choose a smoking room. Needless to say, I didn't sleep very well. The hotel restaurant was understaffed.

This is the first time in my life that I was so disgusted with a room that I simply just walked out of the hotel 5 minutes after I got there. The room is well below the quality of a Motel 6 room. I cant suggest strongly enough to not book a room here.

The room was filthy, plumbing issues, cigarette burns in the bedspread in our Non- smoking room. Bathroom was not clean, towels were dingy. As an asthmatic I need a decent air filtration system I do not belive they have one at all. We will not be staying again on Fremont St. They just can not complete with the strip, I need to breath. Everything about our trip was great but I would recommend that if you are a light sleeper that you request a room away from the band stand.

One of the easiest places to stay in Downtown. Use the valet for convenient parking and it's next to registration so you don't have to walk through the entire casino to get started.

Loved the quick and efficent check in.Only complaint is no coffee machine in room.

We were placed in a smoking room when we'd asked for a non-smoking room and didn't know that until we got up to our room. We noticed the ashtrays but couldn't smell any smoke at the time. We called to let them know the problem and were told we could change but it would be 2 double beds instead of a king and we didn't want that so we stayed in the original […] room because at that time we still couldn't smell the smoke. As the evening went on smoke from other rooms must've come thru and we could also smell the smoke in the bed linen and in the towels..... big mistake we should've changed rooms and it was too late by then. So we've learned never stay in a smoking room and wished we would've been told that at check in. Everything else was just fine as usual - we've stayed there quite a few times before and we've never had any problems. Will continue to stay there and make sure we have a non-smoking room!! Devamı

i have stayed here before, i really like the location for a fremont experience, its reminds me of the old sahara hotel. not really new, b ut clean and comfortable. i will stay here again when i come back to las vegas in a month or two. its real good on a tight budget. has everything that you want or need. parking is free.

The room was large and clean. Needed more towels and housekeeping was very fast to respond. If not for the two complaints to follow i would stay again. One, the shower head was more of a mister. I know Vegas is in the desert but it shouldn't take a guest 10 minutes to rinse thier hair. I've used the standard issue low-flow shower heads before but this […] one was ridiculous. Two, the elevator situation on get away day was horrible. Ended up walking down 19 floors to breakfast after waiting 20 minutes for the elevators. The service was excellent, rooms were clean & spacious. Breakfast was excellent. The building is a bit old and could use a little more maintenance but I would still recommend it.

At that low room rate, I expected to make concessions. Not so....the room was clean with a great view, the food in the Courtyard Grill was exceptional and convenience to the Fremont Street Experience made me determined to stay at the Fitzgerald again and again.

hotel located in the heart of fremont st experience so easier to walk around than the strip. great bads outdoors. was not expecting much of hotel because of great deal we got but was pleasnly surpised at friendliness and service

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, I was in room 2729 (the odd numbered rooms on the upper floors have a great view of the city and mountains), the room was comfortable and the bed was nice. I noticed the carpet was a bit dirty though. TV was old style but lots of channels. Great location for Freemont Street Experience (FSE), and breakfast was included […] with the room. It was our first visit and stay @ downtown las Vegas strip for the price I payed wasn't bad at all . I wouldn't mind to stay there again... Come on it's the old strip what do u expect ... I give it a 3 1/2 thumps up..
