SURFSIDE HOTEL - Daytona Beach

I have stayed in this hotel before and they definitely need to update. Room was o.k. but dark, and the balcony could use some work.

Even though this hotel is definately old and worn, they just don't build them like these anymore. The room was nice and quite. We were able to sleep peacefully and not hear the neighbors like in the newer hotels. The view from the balcony was awesome. The door leading to the balcony was old and worn. The door was falling apart for the inside and we […] had to use packing tape to seal the bottom to keep the mosquitos out of the room. It's obviously an old worn out door. This hotel really, really needs a lot of TLC. There is a closed bar in the lobby next to the pool. Yes, CLOSED. I wished it was open they could have made a ton of money from us. But 7-11 is across the street. There is also a closed restaurant in the lobby. Either order out or walk to nearby places. Parking is $5.00 a night and the "in room" safe is $1.75 a night. If you don't use the safe mention it when you check out. The bathroom was clean and the shower water pressure is outstanding. Beds are comfy and the rooms have a mini fridge, microwave, a hair blow dryer and coffee maker. There is a laundry room accessed from the pool. The location is right on the beach. The hotel needs a serious "facelift"... the pool bottom was awful. You get what you pay for. I was not aware of the $5 a day parkign fee or the $1.5/day "security fee". The rest. was NEVER opened! Will stay in this hotel every visit from now on . For the price it was great. The staff at checkin 2512 Willie was very nice person poll was in excellent shape as were the rooms . At checkout Jessica was also very friendly. Rooms exceeded my expectations .

Advertised restaurant,bar,gift shop but was never open. wires in pool from broken lights.Hotel had a musty smell and worst of all was hotel room cleanliness.Hotel policy to change sheets every 2 days. daily is extra!But ours were never changed in the 5 days we were there. Marked with tape so I'm positive. 3 days in we took sheets off and put in floor […] and they were put back on.When we complained they told house keeping but never no new sheets!Trust me don't stay here no matter the price,if so bring your own sheets... its so gross Devamı
