Dirty sheets, was given another room, smaller bed where I requested a King recieved a queen, and the TV was broken. Also, the first room there was a complimentary condom left in the night stand drawer. Do not stay here.

Hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Was a little disappointed the treadmill wasn't working when I wanted to use it and there was no hot tub at the pool. Also, the fact that there is only one elevator was annoying. There is no other elevator for the cleaning staff so I found I had to wait A LOT. Our room was on the complete other end of the hall […] from the elevator. This said, I wouldn't have noticed this at all if we had stayed just the night. We were there for a family weekend so I noticed little things more than I usually would. It did look a lot nicer than the best western next door. Devamı

the above hotel holiday inn portsmouth nh is a very nice well kept up hotel the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Great location

The convenience of location and neighborhood conditions are great as long as you're ok with a short drive to downtown. The room was clean and comfy with a nice hdtv flatscreen. The walls were a bit thin: be prepared to hear your neighbors if they're the frisky type...Wasn't a big/recurring problem for me, but I could hear the excitement. Then again, […] isn't that expected in older hotels? The bathroom gets lowest marks... -Too small -No exhaust fan (foggy mirror + lingering no. 2 odor) The size would've been more excusable if there had been a good exhaust fan present to get rid of steam and toilet odor. The "Fitness room" is a hotel room with three machines in it - period, so if you like to exercise don't go here. Otherwise it is perfectly fine and well-located.

I was very unhappy with my stay. My room was not clean, and that is putting it lightly. When the representative from the front desk came up, she said it was not her problem and that I would be suprised at how often the rooms were like this. She just shrugged and walked off. I travel a lot, and I have never had such terrible service.

Room was nice location super for the price but the TV was poor. Too small and poor quality did not fit the quality of everything else.

The service stuff were not friendly and did not erven say hello to the guests! The Gym did not work properly (stepper and bike). The room was to narrow.

I just returned from a fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn with my boyfriend. Even though his GPS broke halfway through the trip, he was still able to easily locate the hotel since it was visible from the highway, which was great for us. We were told that we could try to check in as soon as we arrived even if it was before check in, but when we called […] the front desk that morning we were rudely told that we could not check in until 3. She did not even check for us to see if the room was ready, but we decided not to make a big deal of it and just walk to downtown Portsmouth, and we were glad we did! It was a beautiful walk, only about a mile and mostly on a quiet street with nice houses to look at. We spent the day downtown and then walked back to check in to our room. When we arrived at there, we were pleased with everything. It was clean and nice and cool, and the bed was huge and really comfortable! We stayed for two nights and had no complaints. Our towels were changed and our bed was made and the room seemed as good as new when we returned from our day at Water Country. It was really an amazing vacation and we would definitely recommend the Holiday Inn in Portsmouth to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in a beautiful area of New England! Devamı

We called ahead of time to let the hotel know that we were arriving late 11:00 p.m. because we were driving quite a distance. We were told no problem. We get there and were told they didn't have a room for us even though it was paid for fully in advance and we notified them that we would be late!!! They scrambled and told us to check out a room on the […] top level near a venting system it sounded like a freight train. I explained our disappointment and need to have a comfortable room due to a medical condition that I suffered from. So they provided us with a room that had water damage in it earlier in the day, we got in the room, someone either spilled coffed that was not cleaned up and the cream went bad or someone threw up in it, it was horrible in one of the corners. We couldn't take our shoes off. There were long strands of hair in the bathroom that were not disposed of. The bathroom was OK BUT was not thoroughly cleaned properly. The duvets had no duvet covers on them and the list goes on. They provided us with a complimentary breakfast which was very nice and the young man at guest services tried his best to make us feel comfortable BUT regardless we will never stay again. I recently spent one night at this Holiday Inn and was very pleased with the hotel and the personnel. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. The only flaw in my stay was the pillows. They are labelled hard and soft, but the hard are anyhting but.

The hotel was very nice and the people were very helpful. Only down side was that the ceiling were quite old looking and the bathroom needed a fan.

stayed at the hotel to attend a conference held there. Staff were excellent ate at the restaurant every day I was there the food was delicious and the portions were gigantic. Great ambiance and very convenient right down the highway exit.

From the moment I walked in to check in the employees were very friendly and welcoming. Upon getting to my room, I was very happy with the cleanliness of the room. The room was much more than expected and was very happy with it. During my stay I used the gym facilities which were also very clean kept. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed for 3 nights over New Years, when we arrived in our room, it still had trash from the previous occupants, the shower-bath tub filled with water and did not drain as you showered. The bed was uncomfortable and we needed extra pillows, we went to the front desk to ask, they said they would be delivered and we needed to ask again upon return […] from our outing as they were not delivered. We had the do not disturb sign on our door, but we were disturbed anyway... On new years, other occupants in the hotel were running up and down the halls until after 5am, in nothing but a towel. We called the desk 4 times, by 8am we had families and children going up and down the hall with noise makers, no doubt due to the shannigans of others from the night before. When we complained at the front desk they offered us a free breakfast... no thank you. Their mission/hospitality statement says if you are unsatisfied with any part of your trip you will be refunded.... we were refunded nothing just offered breakfast.... My worst experience and choice of a hotel ever, ever, ever. Devamı

We arrived early and where able to check in. We stayed for 4 nights. The bed was very comfortable. There is a great little diner right next door. Across the way was a liquor store. Very cheap Liquor store at that. This hotel is 5 mins away from an outlet mall and not too far from a beach and beautiful mountain views. The pricing was good too!!

A very nice location. Enjoyed the Roundabout Diner for some late night snacks. Very convenient to the downtown area - who knew Portsmouth was such a cute town. Will definitely come back!

this hotel is nothing special- for the price they charge they should really up their game and update the 2ftx2ft bathrooms...and then build a bigger pool... i would stay elsewhere..in the future...

Not great. Not downtown, although about a 5 minutes drive and a little cheaper. Hilton or Alehouse would be the way to go to be downtown and would have to be worth the money by the looks of it. The Sheraton overlooks a dump - No joke. Holiday Inn: Two star hotel/motel. No conditioner in the room and they were out at the front desk. My girlfriend said […] even Super 8 had conditioner. Bare bones and cheap. Only one highly used and crowded elevator, and paper thin walls. Looks okay from the outside, but air ducts between guest bathrooms and the bedroom contributed to me thinking this place stinks. It even carried from other rooms through the ducts in the bathroom where I could hear other guests talking clearly through the bathroom ducts. Gym had only a crappy bike, stairmaster, treadmill and elliptical that needed some TLC. Tub wouldn't drain in the shower left me ankle deep in bathwater. Coffee in the lobby was left empty and no one made an attempt to refill it even though guest after guest walked up to it in plain sight. Stephen at the front desk was very good and helpful, but the rest didn't seem to be from around or know too much. Didn't have high expectations, but was happy to check out. Would not recommend. My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights at the beginning of August. Arriving by car it is very easy to find and only a short 15 - 20 minute walk to downtown Portsmouth. I would definitley reccomend this hotel as the rooms were spacious and always kept tidy and it is a good loaction to see the beaches at Hampton, Kittery Outlet Mall and Portsmouth's […] decent nightlife. I would however like to point tow things out about the Hotel which they could improve. Try and advoid the 6th floor as the lift only goes to the 5th and you must carry your heavy luggage up whats looks a fire escape. This staircase should be painted and appeareance changed from a fire excape. Also the Hotel staff could try harder. While they are friendly behind the desk and the cleaners do a good job, We were never warned on check in that the lift did not go to our floor even though he could clearly see we had a lot of luggage. There is no porter service and in fact when I was un loading the car outside struggling with luggage some staff were having a cigarette and laughing and joking but did not once ask did we need help. No trolleys were also provided. I thought this might be an isolated case but over the course of my stay I saw it was not. However I must compliment the breakfast staff in the lounge who were excellent- however this was prob because we were paying extra for it(It was good value though!!) Devamı

place was very nice. the pool was small and very cold..i expected it to be somewhat warm since it was inside. there was no fridge in my room even tho i was told there would be. but other then that the hotel was great and the rlittle resteraunt was great food and prices

Stayed at the hotel for a week. Front desk service was friendly and helpful. Restaurant prices were high and not worth it but everything else about the hotel was nice and enjoyable.

basic hotel room seemed overpriced to me. bathroom could use an upgrade.

I rented this room fo me & my husband. I would have liked to have a table and chair or two (for eating) in the room, but there was none. There was a desk-like table, but it had to be used for one of our suitcases. There was a comfy chair and a tiny lamp table. I expected a towel rack in the bathroom, but there was none. Towels were stored in a table […] under the sink. So one has to leave towels on the floor or in the tub. The shampoo container was tiny, for one use, not enough for two. Not being familiar with the area, it was difficult to locate the hotel because of the traffic circle and the trees and shrubs and the lack of a sign on the road. I passed the turn and the hotel several different ways even though I had a map and GPS. There was a line waiting for breakfsat in the morning; I think they would do better with a buffet. I expected the pool to be big enough to swim in, it wasn't. There was room for kids to hop up and down in place, not room enough to swim, even without the kids. Because I planned to swim and couldn't,(& paid more than for a hotel without a pool) I would not recommend staying here. The hotel is a close drive to town, so that was fine. Devamı
