Was dissapointed hotel was very busy . First 2 days only one of two elevators were working. Was supposed to get free breakfast but they said there was no deal for that. Think there is new management there because the place was a bit disorganized

The hotel needs some maintenance work. Elevators were out of service which created an issue for some clients. Water park passes need to be more economical.

The hotel was almost empty when we checked in, and yet there was a sign on the counter advising us about breakfast hours. However, since occupancy was low, they decided not to offer breakfast after all. I found out when I stopped by the front desk in the morning to confirm the breakfast hours. The room was uncomfortably warm, but the AC unit was really […] loud -- so one had to choose between noise and comfort. Though they offered the room to sleep four, they had a limit on the number of extra pillows you could get. The room had a king sized bed and a fold-out sofa (which was moderately comfortable, and was already made up with sheets), but no pillows for the sofa-bed in the room. Despite the low occupancy, which meant they weren't serving breakfast, they would not allow ANY late check outs because it was spring break. They told me that their indoor water park had showers, so we could check out, use the water features, and then shower before actually leaving. Not so much. The water park has one public (like out right next to the pool) rinse off shower like you'd find at a beach, but no shower where you could actually bathe and wash the chlorine out of your hair. They DID do their best to accommodate us, but only after we complained. First, they let the chef make us breakfast, since I'd mentioned that I would not have selected the hotel without anticipating an included breakfast. The food was very good, and the chef was delightful. When I called from the water park to ask if there was any way we could get an actual shower, since they'd told us we would have access to one, they let us back into our room to shower (why they couldn't just let us have late check out for that time period is beyond me, since the hotel was practically empty. Finally, in the water park, there were places where the lining along the bottom of the lazy river was peeling. That said, the lazy river was pleasant, and the tube slide was fun. nice hotel for families children were not bored but the pool was cold, kids got in of course the parents(who usually swim ) did not

Worst hotel experience I have ever had. I will never stay at this hotel again and I will never recommend this hotel to anyone. When we checked in we checked the room and found many things wrong. The refrigerator did not work that we paid extra for. Both locks on the balcony door were broke so we had to sleep with no locks. My children found a half empty […] bottle of alcohol in the freezer (in the fridge that did not work). Both telephones in the room had no phone cord and could not be used. None of the vending machines on all 4 floors had beverages. When I complained to the hotel staff they were rude and acted like my complaint was no big deal. I have never been to a hotel with this many things wrong and hotel staff that acted as if it was not a problem. Devamı

My overall stay was horrible.First the water at the waterpark was ice cold like swimming in lake at the temp that it is outside.The room had no heavy quilts on the bed an when I called for them twice they never came.Over crowded also was a big disaster waiting 10 mins for an elevator had to travel the stairs with my kids.My overall experience was horrible […] for me and my kids. We were very pleased with the Hotel because we were accomodated with a room at the last minute and having no prior reservations made.

Overall hotel location and cleanliness was OK but the AC provided in rooms made so much noise that it was even difficult to sleep. Would like hotel management to check the AC in all rooms.

Don't get me wrong, the waterpark was a pretty cool feature. But I will not be returning to this hotel again. First off, the toilet wasn't flushing correctly and I overheard someone call the front desk and complained about the same thing. Then, after getting into bed around 12:30am, I noticed the blanket was dirty and had stains that seemed washable. […] After calling the front desk about this and requested a new blanket, I was told that guest services have gone home for the night. I continued to tell him my blanket was dirty and he told me he had one extra at the front desk but that I had to come get it myself. it was rude and very inconvenient to be told to get up and go get a blanket across the entire building for their mistake of not washing it. Also not to mention that the shower was either too hot, or too cold and never at a perfect medium. I was highly dissatisfied with my stay at the Waverton hotel. Devamı

I will never stay here again.

The first room we had the door didn't lock. They moved us to a different non smoking room that had burn marks on the bath tub and sink. The floor was not vacuumed you could see dirt and food on the chair. There was candy under the ottomen. The beds needed to go in the garbage last year. no support and a big sink hole in the middle. Mattress was curled […] up at the bottom. There was a coffee maker in the room but no carafee to brew it in. There is a water park in the hotel that cost 20 dollars for half day to use it. It didnt look very clean either. unless you pay you have no pool. I stayed at this hotel because it was close to my sisters house. That is the only thing good about it. There was strange smell in the hallways and kids was running through the hall all night. I wondered if security was present. There was kids in the bar area after security told parents they had to leave. The smell in the hallway cause me to have an headache all night. It smelled like smoke cigars or cigarettes or Marijuana The bartender was awesome. […] She provided great customer service and me and my wife would gladly come again to the bar. Devamı

The hotel itself wasn't bad. The toilet did run constantly which was really annoying and the heating/AC unit was extremely loud. However, the worst part of the hotel was the people staying on our floor. We asked a few times, and were told by the front desk that other people had complained about the loud people in our hallway. Yet, all they did was tell […] the people SEVERAL times to be quiet. At that point, tell them if they aren't quiet they are getting kicked out and you are calling the police. I finally passed out around 4AM because they were so loud. My boyfriend said the noise finally stopped at 5AM. Absolutely ridiculous!!!! Devamı

I think this place is very kid friendly. The room was very hot inside upon arrival, but the rooms are nice and clean. I am actually thinking about going back and having my son birthday party there in March.

Have stayed at the Waverton several times - usually a good experience. This time was no different, just the room was slightly cramped with a kingsize bed in an average size room. A little tight, but otherwise another good stay at the Waverton Hotel.

We stayed here on a two day trip to Chicago. They didnt have our reservation right so my husband and I had to share a small bed. It's a good location for highway travel. We didn't drive near the airport which is always busy. It's only about a 25 minute drive to downtown. The hallways smelled and its not as clean as I would like but it was cheap. The hotel was okay but the carpet was not clean, the elevators did not work well and there were ants in the first room. The second room was better and the customer service was good. It is a really nice hotel if you have children.

Ok! My hotel room was very clean the front desk was wonderful.... when I left and came back my room was spotless and food at the hotel was great as well. If it was maybe 10 minutes closer to Chicago I would go EVERY TIME I am in the city!! I love the fact that it had a water park in it!! For more business I think it should come with the room!! I would […] have loved to bring all of my young family there for a party!!! I if I had to rate the rooms on the 4th floor I would give this hotel a 4 star!!! Great area for shopping as well. Nice bed, that's the only possitive The place is older and they are not putting much in to refresh.

We didn't find out until we arrived at the hotel that the waterpark was closed for renovations - they said it will be opened by the end of the week... no offer to negotiate the bill down was tendered, but they did let us check in a couple hours early. I still like the Waverton as it's close to what we need , but the lack of waterpark - and no notice […] beforehand - was a bummer... Devamı

Hotel was dated, pool area was ok suitable for kids 12 and under. Be careful with this hotel when booking thru 2nd party ... they charged me twice!!! Twice after showing them that I had booked and prepaid with hotels.com. Watch out.

If you are planning a trip into the city the train is close and convenient, but watch the times carefully. If you are not travelling with children the halls can be noisy. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful.

I had to crash here for one night because my business took longer than expected. The guy at the front desk was nice and courteous. The phone in my room wasn't working properly so I had to go to the front desk for my wake up call which was a pain. It was worth what I paid but isn't worth more than that. Just to make sure everyone who's looking to stay here knows, they charge you extra in order to use the water park or to have breakfast. Both of these things are significantly overpriced. Not worth the money in my opinion.

I should have know since it no longer had its Holiday Inn franchise that it had changed, I just never expected it to have changed so much. What use to be a hotel that alot of business people stated at is no more!

the place was clean, the room was nice. the people were very friendly and helpful. it's a bit small, but if you have small kids and just want to get away a couple days,it's perfect.

First off, while checking in, I was hit on by a drunk while the security guard stood by and watched even as that drunk persisted to follow me out of the hotel. Secondly, the elevator by my hotel room was broken so I had to travel a long way with all my luggage to my room. Thirdly, the door to my room was not working properly so we needed to go back […] downstairs and have someone assist me with opening the door to the room. Upon entering the room, the carpeting was stained and smelly, the bathroom sink was cracked and smelled strongly of mold. (I gagged everytime I brushed my teeth.) The restuarant provided good food and the Waterpark seemed nice, but my family did not go to the Waterpark. All in all, I did not feel safe at the hotel since drunks were allowed to lounge outside and in the lobby area. Not too family friendly. The no-smoking policy was also not enforced since several times when walking the hallways I smelled smoke coming from the non smoking rooms. Actually, I witnessed that maintenance had been called to a room where I believe a small fire broke out because it smelled strongly of smoke. Devamı

The hotel was in decent shape, comfortable beds, quite a bit of road noise on the front of the building though... waterpark brought alot of kids into the building (some guests, some just for the park). Continental breakfast free Mon-Fri (also USA Today) but was all carbs and no protein. Overall still good thoough, clean rooms, great location for visiting […] Bensenville/Elmhurst area. good and convenient if you look for a place to spend a night with family. hotel is overall clean and comfortable. sometimes they allow early check-in without charging a fee. dinning available inside the hotel and waterpark. food is good and reasonably priced. kids eat free. staff are friendly. waterpark is fun for young kids or 1-2 days stay. well […] maintained. no shower in locker room. Rooms were clean. Kids enjoyed water park although it is not as large as some of the newer ones - there was still a variety for each age group. If I were to book again I would call ahead to make sure two rooms would be adjacent.

Not nearly as nice as the pictures show. Very good idea in a good location. The walls are very thin, so I could hear a lot of people walking by. The room was not very clean. As a matter of fact, I found a "Lifestyles" wrapper behind the sofa. Even though I like the idea for the location, I would never stay there again.
