Holiday Inn Rolling Meadows - Schaumburg Area - Rolling Meadows

This hotel could use some updating. But the beds were comfortable and the room fairly clean. The major downfall is that the hotel staff did not do a very good job of enforcing the "no children in pool without adult supervision" rule. Even after being notified there were over a dozen children in the pool without an adult in site.

Unfortunately, I chose Holiday Inn because it was less per night than the hotel next door. I've stayed here before and had better experiences, so I was disappointed when I got to my room and there was a hole in the shower tile, the plumbing door was open, one of the bed sheets were either dirty or stained, the wash cloth I used was stained, the light […] was burned out in the closet, I couldn't get the toilet paper dispenser to close so the paper roll kept falling off, and there was a large poorly sealed crack in the sink basin. All in all, it was a room in disrepair. I wrote a short note about the linens and closet light being out for housekeeping and although the note was gone when I got back, nothing had been remedied. We had an excellent experience here-fantastic amenities, excellent service, extremely clean! Would recommend highly to anyone!! Great place for kids, as well as adults! Very reasonable rates, too!

This hotel was very clean, the interior of hotel hallways need a little work can tell its a older hotel but staff was very nice and helpful, and room was very clean and comfortable.

I've stayed here in the past (conferences) and the only reason I was here this time was that a conference I was speaking at was being held here. I arrived at 1 PM and my room wasn't ready. I was told I'd have to wait an hour. Meanwhile, thought I'd grab a bite, but their resturant wasn't serving anything but soup and salad. When my room was finally […] ready, though there was an all-day room-service menu, they weren't operating - no food. And this place is in the middle of nowhere - no alternative eateries anywhere. And, in the middle of a major heat-wave, the airconditioning in my room (and the block of rooms) was not functioning. There were no other rooms apparently available for me to relocate to but I was assured maintenance was working on it. Nothing like the middle of summer to find out your air conditioning doesn't work, right? Now, several days later, I suspect they're still working on it as it was about 80 degrees in my room that night. Maybe it was a bad day at the ol' HI but I think I should have been comp'ed - but wasn't. Only stay there if you have to, and even then, you might seek an alternative. I will! Devamı

A/C did not work well and outside temperatures were around 100 during the day... The hotel's response - sorry, the units are old and just cannot keep up!!! Elevators were in poor operating condition and 'screeched' whe operating between floors... The beds were horrible and lumpy / saggy... Avoid at all costs!!!

After being told that I couldn't stay because I had a small dog (hotels.com told me over the phone and on their website that this hotel is pet friendly) I was quite upset. I just drove 2000 miles and it was my 7 year Anniversity, so I was pretty much in tears. The hotel manager was great, he helped me put by letting me use his phone for 45 minutes to […] yell at hotels.com, providing me with water, and in the end told me that I could stay since I was so upset. He was the nicest man and helped me out a bunch. So the hotel customer service is 5+++ stars but hotels.com is at a low -100000 stars, I will never use them again!!! When making the reservation, I requested a 1st floor room which she told me would not be a problem, however it was not granted once I arrived. I was on the 3rd floor and across the hall from me was a group of girs and at about 12:30 a.m. the Security Guard was banging on the door, yelling for them to open it or he would call the police. It woke me and […] my 2 young children and continued for over 20 minutes. The "so-called" newly remodled room in the Executive Tower was in bad shape. Drawers were hard to open, furniture was old and worn and there was mold on the cieling in the bathroom above the shower. Devamı

booked room there for the inside ameneties, pool and other things closed both days we were there. Front desk no help keeped putting us on hold. Sink plugged and ground on plug had something in it looked like it broke off in there.

we were expecting to us the indoor pool and other amenities and they were closed all 3 days we were there, was not informed. Also our drain was plugged up and there was a ground part of the plug stuck in the plug. The front desk people kept putting us on hold and did not know anything helpful.
