Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach - Ventura

This hotel met all my requirements. Hotel is well placed, clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The view is also great. I would recomend to anyone travelling to the Oxnard - Santa Barbara.

This property was a disappointment, given the 3.5 star rating. The room was nicely furnished, but tight on space. The bathroom was tiny, and not at all deserving of a 3 star rating, much less 3.5 stars. We had 3 people in room, and were provided 2 sets of towels. I had to ask twice to get an extra set. We stayed here for a overnight getaway. I appreciate its proximity to downtown Ventura and beach. It has a couple of issues however. There are a lot of local thugs that hang out on the boardwalk and near the parking lot. While they have never directly given me a hard time, it could be intimidating for some folks. well, it is for ventura. nice hotel bar but expensive. Gotta pay $10 a day for parking and the rooms are just okay. its probably the nicest place to stay in ventura but there are other places that either a. closer to main st for dining b. better value for nearly the same quality. id stay again but there are other places to check if you want to save […] some cash. Generally nice, exactly what you expect from Crowne, not luxury, better than Holiday Inn, etc. All rooms seem to have balconies and at least a partial ocean view which is nice. The highway noise is pretty loud--it didn't bother me too much since I live in LA so everything seems quiet compared...but I can imagine that it would be a disturbance to some. […] I'd stay there again though, definitely. First you are welcomed by a $10 a day parking fee. There are 2 lots. one in front of the hotel (safe but usually full) the other across the street multi-level completely unsafe unless your thing is homeless and drug addicted. fortunately I got my $10 worth exiting the parking lot when the person in front of me forgot there parking card and i had to […] wait 15 minutes before the hotel staff came out and let them out. BTW Montana has a beautiful license plate. Forget about street parking because the closest locales are 4-5 blocks away and again you walk the gauntlet to get back to the hotel. The ocean views from each room is great but don't open the balcony door unless you like freeway noise and exhaust since the hotel is a couple of blocks from an elevated section of the freeway and add to that the trains that pass all hours of the day and night. To the hotel's credit it is right on the beach and if surfing is your thing then this may be your place. Devamı

I really like the location and the ocean balcony view. However, there is a lot of riff raff around the hotel and parking garage area that may lead to crime with no security. Wouldn't want to be a single female walking out to my car in the parking garage at night nor would I let anyone I know do so. The beds could be softer and they should have flat […] screens. Overall the hotel is average at best. The rooms are small and the bathrooms are even smaller. The worst feature is the train tracks right across the street with trains typically running in the late evening hours and overnight. The hotel staff was relatively unfriendly. You would think that a hotel of this rating would provide a wireless internet connection for all guest at no extra charge. $10 a day. The FREE wired in room internet connection was taken out and no longer available. After I called the front desk and ask about this they just said sorry but you can have the wireless connection for $10 per day or visit […] the Business center. They also charge $10 per day for self parking. I was surprise when I wasn't ask to pay to use the elavator...SMH..What saved this rating was the room a bit small but a great view. Devamı

Loud band two floors above us prompted us to ask to be moved. Then we were placed on a floor with animals and dogs barking during the night. Not a real relaxing weekend.

Incredible view, location etc. Spacious rooms, nice restaurant/lounge, pool etc. Their maintenance needs help. 3 remotes before 1 worked, door entry sporadic, shower filled with water, towel had stain but......a great spot, great value nice people. WOuld definitely be back

Great hotel RIGHT ON the beach!! Fabulous steak house (Aloha) next door. If you go have the maui-maui with a toasted coconut sauce...delightful!! Within a $7 cab ride to downtown Ventura where all the action is!! The bar area at the hotel is very inviting and beautiful views of the ocean!! Very nice!!!

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. There attitude at the front desk was horrible. They didn't want to honor our reservations by saying I didn't reserve a king size bed. The room that we finally got was filthy. It look like it hadn't been used for a long time. The shower head broke off when my wife was taken a shower. And let's not forget […] the homeless people sleeping next to the parking structure....good luck people..... Devamı

The staff was pleasant and helpful. The facility was attractive and well-maintained. The walls of the rooms are a bit thin as far as sound-proofing, made worse by the presence of a rowdy basketball team that partied into the wee hours, slammed doors, and threw a chair out the window when I was there. Disappointing when you add up the parking price. Nothing is special about this hotel,except the location on the beach. It is annoying that they only provide one non-decafe cup of coffee in the room. The bedding is mediocre. The breakfast bar does not serve expresso. The" art fair" on the outside is sad. Next time we will go to the Marriott.

Mediocre food at the hotel and at the Aloha restaurant next door. Poor quality food at the nearby, Main Street, restaurants. Drab colors and lighting in the hallways and rooms

The location is great. It's right on the beach and near tons of shops and places to eat. The door card reader didn't work all the time, so it was a struggle to get in the room a few times. There are quite a bit of homeless/transient people hanging near the parking structure, but all seemed harmless. The stairwells in the parking structure also smelled […] like urine. The hotel is practically over the freeway and very noisy. I think it is way overrated and priced.

I like staying here because it is right on the beach and within walking distance of the pier and some good restaurants. Also has a pretty comfortable bar and restaurant, both with outside patio seating.

The furniture was torn and durty. looks like they got it from a not very good yard sale.

This hotel is noisy inside and out - road and train noise and noisy patrons.

Hotel staff was very accommodating and professional. Stay was absolutely wonderful, and view of the Pacific Ocean was great; just a few steps away. Definitely would stay again. Even though the train goes through a few times of the early morning, it was not a big deterrant for me and I am a light sleeper. Loved it!!!

Hotel was decent for what it was. Nothing fancy, and they charged $10 a night to park on top of the fact they have limited parking. Breakfast was not included at all, paid $17 for two small mimosa's and a breakfast burrito.. Staff was friendly and helpful, and rooms were kept very clean. Tv's are outdated.

Great view of the beach but opening the door or sitting on balcony is extremely noisy and not because of the surf (which can't be heard from the 9th floor east of elevator), rather the 101 highway is extremely loud with traffic during the day, and even more exasperating, jackhammers all night, which could be heard very loudly with the door closed. Rooms were not clean, parking was a nightmare, elevators took forever, service at restaurant incredibly slow The worst part was they gave our family (baby included) a room on the floor right below the nightclub which bumped music late into the night. For same price I wish we'd gone down the road to the Mandalay Bay Resort - WAY BETTER!

We had a very pleasant stay and were most satisfied with everything.

We loved the location, on the beach and two short blocks from town, can't beat that. The hotel is old, has not been renovated since the 70's and the housekeeping is sporadic at best. If you don't mind that, old sheets, with a few holes, than the rest is great. Good restaurant breakfast, again fantastic location. Does not due justice to "Crowne Plaza" […] more like Holiday Inn. Hotel staff was very accomadating with request to use a conference room for a last minute business meeting.

Great hotel on the beach in Ventura. Dog friendly is a huge plus, and rare in a hotel of this quality. Great location near the fair grounds and downtown Ventura. Close to the Ventura Theater, the restaurants and bars. Nice hotel, nice staff. Highly recommend it even for non-dog owners.

Room was nice and right on the beach. Pool was nice with walk up bar. There are alot of bums at the beach and serrounding area that beg all day long. That is the only problem we had.

Great location for beach viewing and walking. This location has the feel, look and sounds of an old Holiday Inn from the 60's or 70's. Kinda noisy and close. Basically overpriced for the quality, so I guess you are paying for the location? Parking lot is $10 per day and too small. Almost did not get a spot twice.
