The Legacy Hotel and Meeting Centre - Rockville

Everything was comfortable and clean. Located near Metro with a 23 minute ride to the city was a big plus. Only downside was one elevator was out of order and the other didn't open well on the 7th floor (our floor). I was stuck in the elevator for 15 minutes one evening.

This hotel resides in a multi-use complex: the hotel, some retail, and some apartments/condos. I pulled into the complex and followed signs to hotel parking, which brought me to a large garage. A sign above the garage entrance clearly indicates that hotel guests must park on a particular level (I don't remember which, but it was above the levels for […] retail and residences, probably 5 or 6 levels up). I parked my car appropriately (under a sign that said "HOTEL PARKING ONLY" in fact), took the elevator down to the ground level, then walked over to the hotel. When checking in, I was rudely informed by the clerk that I should not have parked up there, that I would have to return to my car with a permit, and move my car to another area so that it wouldn't get towed. Most hotels simply want you to park in their lot and provide a license plate number. Here, return to your inconveniently parked car with a permit and move it to an area that explicitly says "no hotel parking." Absolutely ridiculous. I'll never stay there again. Cleanliness issues, too, but I'm running out of room for this review. Devamı

This hotel was in a very convenient location and had plenty of food and shopping in the surrounding area.

I had a very nice stay at this hotel. The only disadvantage is that there are no microwaves in the room. Other than that everything was great. There is a mall right down the street from the hotel as well as great places to eat.

Dirty towels behind bathroom door at check in. Toilet ran non-stop all night. Check out manager did not care. Not a good value.

This area is a great option for where to stay for walkable shopping and restaurants outside the District when hotels there are too high. However, while it is very close to the Metro station, it is across a very busy Parkway. Upon arrival, hotel clerk reported that the computer didn't contain the reservation I had made on hotels.com. Fortunately I was able to use the business workstation computer to access my email. Otherwise the stay was fine. Great location to stay for a DC tour, especially if your coming from Northwest.

I liked the hotel, I got a nice one-night weekend rate which was cheaper than anywhere else I've stayed in the area, and was definitely worth the stay! All the other reviews are pretty spot-on, air conditioner/heater was VERY loud but I was able to tune it out pretty easily (just scared me when it first came on!) I had to attend an event in DC and searched for a "nice" afforable hotel. I found this one on Hotels.com. I was a little nervous about booking a unknown place, but was pleasantly surprised! The hotel was clean, had nicely appointed rooms, and was located in an area with lots of shopping!!! I would stay again!

I found the location of the hotel to be very convenient and accessible to public transportation. Very nice reasonably priced restaurants in the area. The refrigerator in the room was a necessity for me. Overall it was a nice staycation to relax, read and contemplate the state of the universe. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We only stayed one night, but if we had to stay more we would have been very happy to. Very comfortable room.

The Legacy Hotel in Rockville, MD was a very nice hotel for our trip to Washington DC. They provided us with a very clean room, very helpful staff, and the location was great (only 1 block from the metro). The elevator didn't work, and the wireless internet didn't work. No cable available for wired internet. No offer to make up for the inconvenience either. Seems to be undergoing renovations in the lobby. The room was fine though.

We had put in a recommendation for a king size bed. What we received was a standard bed. We mentioned this to the concierge the next day and he immediately put us into a room with a king size bed.

On the fourth day of our stay we found food under the night stand that was not ours. Wonder how long it lie there?

Despite been 30 minutes from Washington DC (by subway), it's a great alternative for those who don't want to pay for parking. The metro station is very close to the hotel. The room was superb. We've paid so little for such a great hotel. There were even towel sculptures and personalized TV message. The staff was very helpful also.

The rooms were clean and fairly large. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and the hotel was located near several restaurants within walking distance. The Metro station (Red Line) was only a block away so we could ride into DC in 33 minutes. I'll definitely be back..

After staying at a well known pricey hotel not far from this hotel, the Legacy was better for the not so pricey hotel rate. It was very nice with flat screen television, nice toiletries and comfy beds. Since I need a refrigerator for my meds it was comforting to know that its a standard amenity. This hotel was 'OK'. For the money I expected more. The front desk attendent was not unfriendly but was not the outgoing, service-oriented type I expected. When we got to our room, we had trouble with the TV remote and we requested an extra robe as we had only been given one. I called the front desk. First I received no answer at all. When I called […] back a few minutes later, I was told they did not have access to another robe - which I did not receive ever in the few days I was staying there. The maintenance man came quickly but we continued to have trouble with the remote throughout our stay. There was a 'towel cobra' with sunglasses on the bed which was cute. The toiletries seemed higher end. Almost like the hotel was trying to be high end but just wasn't quite making it. Plenty of restaurants and shopping in the area. This hotel is very close to many shopping outlets, restaurants and highways. The metro is a block away, makes it easy to visit DC

I came with my younger sons to spend a couple of days touring DC. All of the staff were great and our room was wonderful. The beds were SO comfortable. I could park safely for free in a garage. The neighborhood is safe and close to a Metro stop, just be aware it's on a main thoroughfare that is not very walkable to breakfast or coffee. With a low room rate, I wasn't expecting much more than basic amenities, especially at a hotel right on the main drag of Route 355. Boy was I surprised. The front desk staff were helpful and kind and very gracious. My room was clean, bright, and cheerful; there was a towel folded on my bed in the shape of a swan, with a pair of pink sunglasses perched […] on its head. Great shower and top-tier toiletries. A television that my mom (who was staying next door) insists has better resolution than the one at home. (Well, that's not difficult.) We had to replace our room keys a couple of times a day - they kept failing, and the kitchen ran out of hamburger, but were able to quickly replace it, and on the last morning we received complimentary breakfast buffet to make up for the troubles. The staff were wonderful, always in a good mood and happy to help.

My husabnd and I had a very nice stay at the Legacy Hotel. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The location was very convenient to everything. Would definitely recommend to others.

My daughter had an interview in the city. We stayed the night before and took the Metro into town. Very convenient location, hotel was very clean, and the staff very friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel!

There are times my husband and I need a quiet retreat. Since gas prices are rising a staycation was the way to go for a romantic getaway. The Legacy provided the ambience and of course we provided the romance. Phillips Seafood restaurant provided an excellent dinner and breakfast. Making our staycation affordable and fun. Great hotel. Good service, good staff, great proximity to the Metro. Just two complaints on my part: Free complimentary wifi internet is slow. Really slow. I clocked it at 0.75 mB/s, only half as good as my slow DSL at home. Not even fast enough to watch anything streaming. Also, the shower head was really low. We stayed at The Legacy while visiting my in-laws in Silver Spring for Easter. The hotel has a contemporary, boutique feel, tastefully decorated. Felt more personal than one of the big hotel chain. Front desk staff was helpful and polite, though during check in, I wondered why there was no bellman to assist with luggage. Easy access to highways, but not so that you feel you're crowded by traffic. We actually stayed there about 3 years ago BEFORE it was The Legacy, and were happy to find that the place had changed FOR THE BETTER. I recently stayed at the Legacy and went back to spend another night there because the hotel is clean, centrally located to where I needed to be, updated (based on the bathrooms) and the cost was extremely reasonable. However, the hotel needs to replace the mattresses. They were of poor quality (based on the concaved middle I was in when I woke up) […] or very old and worn. The comfort level was zero. I had to climb out of the bed in the morning. I would recommend the hotel to everyone but...make sure when you check in, the mattress in your room is in good shape. Good hotel for the discounted price I received. Not exclusive enough to be in the over $200 class.

Had no problems with our stay except our room was cleaned on our second day very late in the day. We left the room at 8:00 am and did not return until 4:00 pm and our room still had not been cleaned for the day.
