The hotel is in a good location, but it is a little tricky getting to it because of all of the one way streets. The staff upon check-in was very friendly and even upgraded our check-out time to 2:00 because I was a rewards member. They were even better with us the next day when our car battery died and they let us recheck in to our room while we waited. […] We were on the 16th floor and had views of the bay. The bed was very comfortable (not too hard or too soft) with a fluffy comfortor. The room was good sized and very clean and new. We forgot our toothpaste and within a few minutes, house keeping brought us some. They put out newspapers, and fresh coffee for the guests in the morning, and water (with lemon or strawberries) in the afternoon. All in all I can't think of one reason why I wouldn't stay here again. Devamı

I spent Labor Day weekend in San Diego with a friend and picked this hotel because of its central location. It was a brisk 15 minute walk to the Gaslamp district, about a 20 minute walk to the harbor, and a 10-15 minute drive to the zoo. We got a room with 2 double beds and they were SUPER comfortable The room was very clean and the staff was pretty […] friendly. The only thing I didn't like about the room was the weird sliding bathroom door. You can't lock it and it easily lifts up from the bottom. It doesn't offer much privacy so travel with good companions! The surrounding area isn't the greatest but it is downtown and we experienced no issues. I would definitely stay again. Devamı

it was a bit rough. I wouldn't recommend this hotel nor would I stay in it again. We arrive and wasn't aware we had to pay for parking in addition to the room. Then we received a key to the wrong room and found that out after going to the incorrect room and having to come downstairs to get the correct key. Then our corrected key didn't work and we had […] to sort that out. The condition of the room was also not in the greatest condition either. It was just a comedy of errors and we were only there for 1 night. I will say that they did try to accommodate us by the error of having us walk into the wrong room but giving us free parking but we had to request that. Comfortable, clean and quiet room, good staff at front desk but not enough of them. Room service was fast but the worst food I have ever had. Hotel was a $10 cab ride (inc tip) to the Gaslamp district. And it is not cheaper to park in the $5 parking lot across the street as some people have said because it is $5 every 9 hours which works out more expensive […] than just paying $17 for the night. Plus you have to remember to add more money to the ticket. also they forgot to charge us for parking so we were ok with it. Devamı

Hotel great. You said they had airport transportation. It started at 7. That does not help guests who have flights at 6. It cost me an additional $15 for a taxi. Not happy!,!

The room was amazing. I called and asked if it all possible they would be able to accommodate a higher level room and upon my check in I had an amazing 14th floor room with a view of the harbor. They provided me for being a member... 2 COMPLIMENTARY bottled water. They also gave us an extended checkout.

Comfortable room and beds. Recommend instruction on the air conditioning / heating unit which was old and was no longer controlled on the unit itself but by the thermostat.. We had to call the staff to figure that out since it seemed to be broken.The staff was accommodating giving us a higher room and on the non - freeway side, so noise was no problem, […] but I wonder about the rooms on the freeway side?The hotel is within walking distance of both downtown and Balboa Park but the immediate neighborhood is a bit sketchy. Great service. The entire staff was smiling and friendly. They had delicious fresh baked cookies, coffee and tea when we arrived around 6pm to check in. Check in and check out was super quick. The beds were comfy and the rooms were clean. We had a great view on the 15th floor. I also forgot to pack my iphone charger and my phone was close to dead so […] I asked if they had one to lend to customers. They didn't but the hotel supervisor at the front desk had his personal phone charger with him and offered to charge it for me in the back office. Went with my family of four. The hotel is clean and so are the rooms. Comfy sized beds and nice size room for the price. Service was mediocre, staff wasn't friendly. We were a bit lost at check in and a staff member was rude. Location is good because it's in the center of it all; zoo, sea world, little Italy and gaslamp. The room was clean, but when trying to take a hot shower the pipes make sooo much noise. The pool is an embarrassing size, and parking is a little less than desirable( small spaces and requires you to walk around to the front of the hotel to get in hotel) .

Not Pleasant. The 7th Floor was so noisy with people to all hours in the night. We did not sleep well at all. When I spoke with the front desk, they said they did have some reports, and why did I not call. I said the people were very routy and did not want to stir the pot if they knew who reported it. When they said they had reports and did nothing […] anyway I was happy I did not waste my time in the evening having to just deall with it. We left the following morning. The arrival to the hotel was perfect. The shuttle picked us up from the airport within minutes of arrival and we were brought to our room, which was still being cleaned. Not an issue because they accommodated us by placing our belongings into the back office. The hotel stay was acceptable because I was going in and out of the room, waking up early, […] focused on my business in San Diego. When I actually had time to relax and spend more time in the room, I recognized that embedded into the bed and carpet was a cigarette smell that was awful. My other complaint was that when I wanted to arrange for the shuttle to the airport, the front desk people did not accommodate me as I thought they would be able to. They told me that the shuttle service was hourly instead of when I was ready, which led me to take a cab to the airport. The other main detractor to the hotel was there was a tent row, of homeless, behind the hotel that made me nervous to walk around. Devamı

The hotel is conveniently located right next to the I-5 entrance, Balboa Park, and the Gaslamp district. The hotel was nice and very clean. The workers were friendly. The only complaint I have is that they charge $17 a day for parking and that wasn't mentioned during the reservation. They also do not have microwaves or refridgerators in the room. Decent enough room and cleanliness, and front office staff were OK, but room service was consistently totally unresponsive. I even called front desk multiple times to get the matter resolved, to no avail. This may be a one-off experience, but it occured on two consecutive nights!

Look it, it's cheap and in the city. If you expect more, you're dumb. The rooms are small and the cable sucks. Trays of food were left in the halls for over 24 hours. I won't stay here again, however, I will say that for the price, you are right near the city.

Shuttle service was helpful. Requested a king bed in Expedia reservation. When we got there they said Expedia messed up, even though we had it in writing. They comped us breakfast instead. Overall a comfy hotel for a short stay. Restaurants nearby.
