It was the worst

I will say that my overall stay was the worst. The day of check in the young man that check me in was very rude. He was very rude and abrupt when I was checking in, then I it was another conversation upon another person (which was a young lady) that was not just rude to myself but as well as my sister that called to ask a question of making changes. […] She was very rude and nasty to me in person and my sister on the phone. The day of check-out (4/15/2012) the young lady was rude and abrupt as well. I will say that I will NEVER STAY AT THE HOLIDAY INN CENTER CITY CHARLOTTE EVER AGAIN. I was celebrating my 40th birthday and with the experience of rudeness made my day a day that I will never forget and could never get back. Devamı

Great room with sitting area, desk & kitchen. Extremely comfortable, attentive staff, plus complimentary breakfast in the morning. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I was informed at check in that there would be a $100 charge against my debit card for "incidentals". When we asked the desk staff what "incidentals" they were talking about we were met with blank stares. My debit card did not have $100 on it at the time so we were told unless we came up with $100 cash deposit then we could not check in, regardless […] of the fact we were 6 hours from home. I mentioned that at other hotels I had an option to wave "incidental charges" such as room service and pay per view by blocking them. I was told that would not be an option here. So we forked over all of our cash except $20 that we had to make this deposit. In the morning the room was inspected before we were given our money back. I paid an extra $10 for breakfast upon my booking. When informed that the breakfast would not open until after I checked out, I asked for a refund of the $10. I was then told that the $10 was nonrefundable since it had been booked through hotels.com. In my opinion we were treated with indifference at best. Upon room inspection, I found 2 pubic hairs on the back of the toilet. Room service dishes stayed in the hallway in excess of 5 hours. Late at night the pedestrian street noise kept me awake and I did not rest well at all. This pales in comparison to the stellar experiences we've had at Holiday Inn Express hotels. The hotel itself is very nice. However, the room is extremely small. It barely had enough room to sleep all four girls. The location is great and we walked to all of the bars. The front desk clerks were great when we checked in, but not very nice when we left. We had to pay $15 per car for parking, which we were told would be free when I booked the […] room. They also charged $100 to my card for "liability" reasons. I received the money back, but it took 5 days for it to credit my account. I don't think we will be staying here again. Devamı

Great hotel. Really good price. I wasn't blown away by the quality but the location and service were both incredible. This is especially true given the price.

The lock latch on our door would not work. We sat luggage in front of the door to be sure no one could come in without us hearing them. The towel rack above the toilet was falling down. Parking deck was not clearly identified, we circled the block 2-3 times before figuring out where to park.

If you are going to Charlotte for sports, concerts, nightlife, or dining this is a great hotel choice. Parking is easy. The light rail is nearby. The Bobcat arena is across the street and the Panthers stadium is an easy walk.

Very good hotel. Ask for room to be clean at certainb time and someone came right up. Also vending machine not working but someone form hotel came up with the sodas. Would recommend

Arrival was great; the Panther fans at check in were nice, even with my Steelers jersey on; downtown atmosphere was powerful; walking to the Stadium, the scenery was great. Inside of room and hotel lobbys were all ok. Great Stay!!!

I recommend this hotel. The rooms are clean and the customer service was awesome! I will be staying here again.

Hotels.com had a really great rate. The hotel was directly in front of the Arena (within walking distance). The bed, pillows and A/C were excellent; we wanted to stay over another night due to the comfortable sleep. There were several places to eat within walking distance. The staff was great and very accommodating. The room's sink wouldn't stop-up […] and it was placed a little high for someone 5ft tall. Room service was extremely high. We booked through Hotels.com and were surprised when we showed up at the Holiday Inn Center City in Charlotte that there was going to be an additional $100 charge per room (we had 2) for "incidentals". There was NO MENTION of this fee on the Hotels.com website. We have been assured the charge will fall off in 3 days, but just the fact that they actually […] charged $100 per room on top of the already-paid room fee was absurd. The rooms are nice in that they're clean and the beds are comfortable. There are, however, no microwaves or mini-fridges in the rooms. We were told that if we wanted a microwave, we'd have to ask for one to be brought up. Oh, and the parking fees were not clearly explained. You can valet or self-park. There are fees for each. If you self-park, you still wind up paying a $15 fee for parking. This was not explained upon booking the room. Thankfully, the hotel was within walking distance of all locations we were attending. There are restaurants everywhere, which made mealtimes easy. I did not like the restaurant in the hotel, though. There were not many options for dinner and the prices were ridiculous. Also, every other Holiday Inn I've stayed at has offered at least complimentary coffee and muffins/danishes in the lobby in the mornings and nothing like that was available - so just one more charge for our stay. If you're looking to walk everywhere and it's just for a night, it's likely not a bad choice of hotel. If it's for more than one night and you don't want to be charged for everything and anything, I'd pick a different hotel. Devamı

Hotel Staff were wonderful. Room was nice, but too small for 2 kids & 2 adults.

Good service, nice staff and clean room. Great location. Pillows were uncomfortable. Hot tub was having problems/malfunctioning

It was a extrembly nice hotel with a great selection of restaurants to choose from.It is only a block and half from the Comcast arena which was less then a 10 minute walk from the Hotel.The only compliant that I have is that you have to pay for parking while staying at the Hotel which is$15.00 a day.I was not inform of this when I booked my room or […] upon checking in.I found out about the charge when a bill was left in my door.The excuse that I was given upon check out is that this was a standard charge for all Hotels in down town Charlote and that they had the cheepest parking of any other Hotel. I would just advise every one to be leary of the extra parking fees which could had up over several days.Oh yall the matress on the beds were awesome not to mention that you have a choice of firm or soft pillows which are labeled so you can choose. super nice place and staff. the only dislike was the off site parking $12 and the long walk in the super humid and hot weather. no easy access from the building. long walk and NO handicap parking.

Just around the corner from the Time Warner Arena and pretty much everything in downtown Charlotte. The staff was very nice and very helpful.

Not a 4 star quality hotel but rooms and lobby were satisfactory. there were two things i didn't like about the hotel: 1 - the pool was broken throughout my whole stay in. Late may. It was incredibly slow and my computer was constantly disconnecting which was a pain. My friend had the same problems with his computer. Stayed at this hotel while attending an event at the Time Warner Arena. This is a perfect hotel location. There are great places everywhere to eat. The neighborhood was fantastic and safe. The service at the hotel was excellent. Front desk, great. Bellman, fantastic. Valet, very friendly. Loved this place. The room was very clean and comfortable. Coffee […] maker a great plus. The only "con", the bathroom was so small the door hit the toliet and would not open all the way. The good thing was the sink was on the outside of the bathroom. While the hotel location was just PERFECT for the sports event we attended, the hotel itself needs a lot of upgrading. No refrigerators or microwaves in our rooms. No exhaust fans in our bathrooms. Great hotel, BEST location, we walked to all of our destinations, very safe. Staff was attentive.

If you are a nite Owl and like the Bars this a great place. If you go to bed around 10-11:00pm, forget about it. The Bars with the live bands right around the corner will keep you up till 2:00 am. Also had a a bus load of college kids that keeped going until 4:15 am. No sleep but the beds were great. Bottom line, very nice hotel, just noisy.

This is just an average hotel. It was clean and served its purpose but certainly nothing special. The television in our room was not working well. It was more like rabbit ears than cable TV. Plus not upgraded at all. Just an old tube TV. The maid also knocked on our door at 8am to see if she could clean. I don't appreciate being disturbed at that hour […] when I am on a leisure trip. The front desk was not helpful at all. The alarm clock in my room was full of water and my remote was also dripping wet. I called for these items to be fixed and nothing was done until I called again 3 hours later. Then my toilet was clogged. Not worth the money and we will never stay there again. We were told the shuttle would pick us up and it never […] showed up. When we called back the front desk informed us that the shuttle was already booked and wouldn't be able to get us. Stayed here to be downtown. Standard room, so I felt is was a little pricey

The room had a king-size bed, but overall it was a compact space. There was almost no place to put toiletries- a small sink top and a desk next to the bed. If one were using the desk for writing or computing, there was no place for toiletries. We spent two nights at the hotel, and our room was never cleaned on the day between. Great location; rude staff; several times that elevators weren't working.

The hotel was in a great location. It was within walking distance to many restaurants and shops, and a short cab trip to all other locations in the city. The hotel staff was excellent and always happy to assist with any questions or directions.

the day we stayed in the hotel was a busy day, the other guest were noisy but the staff were great , very courteous and helpful.

I had promised to take my daughter to see Taylor Swift in concert and Charlotte was the closed location. While searching for a hotel, I found that Holiday Inn Charlotte Center City was directly across the street from the concert. I found this to be the best hotel that I have stayed in for many, many trips that I take. The room was exquisitely decorated, […] the bedding was so comfortable and the room was so very quiet. I was on the street side, three floors up from the traffic but you would never have known it. The check in was so quick and friendly. This is definitely a "Two Thumbs UP" hotel. Devamı
