Very rude front desk staff when I called after booking . The two women at the desk were also rude when we arrived to check in. I found their attitudes to be less than helpful and not welcoming. Also, the website offered a shuttle to the metro and bus station and was never available until 3pm in the afternoon. That is ridiculous when all the museums […] are open at 10am. Devamı

Hotel was close to Ballston stop for Metro as advertised, about 3-4 blocks. Room was clean, roomy and temperature was easily controllable. Breakfast buffet was basic and that was all we needed, in DC for the museums with a 9 and 10 year old, menu had good options. Service all around was very good. Surrounding area was safe with some other restaurant […] options if needed. Would definitely recommend this hotel if in DC/Virginia and just looking for reasonable pricing, comfort, cleanliness, service and convenience. Didn't have car so no idea about parking, sidewalks from Metro to hotel was wide for easy pulling of suitcases, very safe enough area. Devamı

Like all the hotels in Arlington, this one is hugely overpriced. It has the usual problems of a Holiday Inn: loud heat/AC; cheap doors that make a lot of noise when you close them (no matter how hard you try to be quiet). Rooms are clean, beds comfortable, shower is excellent, wireless networking free and works very well. Nice lobby with nice bar. I had business near Ballston and this was a nice walking distance from appointments and Metro. Love the free wifi. Nice room. Temporary parking reconstruction may have been inconvenient for some but I had no car. Neighborhood has numerous places to eat, and Orange Line makes it pretty convenient to downtown and National airport

The room service omelettes had really old cheese. The miniature bottles of ketchup were past their expiration dates,and there was some mold(or black goop) on the inside of the lid.

The location is great, the hotel is clean, the rooms and restaurant are nice. No problems with any of those things. The hotel does have a mandatory valet parking due to some construction. And both the wired and wireless internet access were unusable.

I appreciate what Holiday Inn is doing to make it an attractive hotel for both personal and business travel. Unfortunately, bad service at the Arlington/Ballston location undermined the good parts. Any time I needed something from the front desk, there was a problem. At the very last minute, the early morning manager, who was hostile and defensive when […] I asked for some help with something a day earlier, completely dropped the ball when I called for my car. Got downstairs, no car, no person getting the car. He ran off to get it, making me leave 20 minutes later for the airport than I had originally planned. Devamı

This hotel is within walking distance of many restaurants, shopping stops and galleries. There's a free shuttle to locations within a mile, too. Hotel staff are helpful and friendly and the rooms and service quite good. The area surrounding the hotel is quite safe at night and walker-friendly. Our family would definitely stay again.

the hotel is ideally located at the entrance to route 66 . This gives good access to all of Arlington and an easy transit to Washington. The hotel is renovating its parking lot and as a result only valet parking is avaiable. They were prompt in getting the car when needed, Generly a good place to stay to visit Washington by metro which is close by.

A fairly standard rood. Nothings spectacular, but solid. A Keurig, Flat screen and HBO were the pluses; not replacing the K cups, and a tile falling off the bathroom wall were the minusus. Nothing too great, nothing too bad. Overall, a B- grade.

The hotel is dated and in desperate need of updating. The night front desk never brought the blankets we requested the first night, but turned out we didn't need them once we figured out how to turn on the heat. There is a police and fire station nearby so sirens are heard often; bring earrplugs. Overall, the hotel staff was very pleasant and accomodating […] for my stay and the conference. The shuttle was great, the beds were comfortable, and proximity to shopping, metro and restaurants were all convenient. The price was a little high for the need of remodeling and the road noise - while it can't be helped by the staff, was an issue. Overall - I would recommend this hotel to others. Devamı

I know this is temporary, but the parking lot is under renovation and you must have hotel staff move your car to or from a nearby parking garage every time you use or return your car. The hotel still, however, charges a parking fee for the use of their lot daily, despite the inconvenience.

We were generally happy with the accommodations and the staff. Our only criticisims: the pillows were all too firm and too high (that is, stuffed very full), and the comforters on the beds--which serve in the place of blankets--are so warm that, with a room temperature that cannot be set lower than 65 degrees, I found myself either too warm (with the […] comforter on) or too cold (when I threw it off) all night. The hotel has instituted a new "valet" parking horror that requires you to use the valet and be charged a parking fee each night. We have been going to his hotel for over 10 years, last Feb being our last stay. We never had to pay for parking (even thought the front desk clerk swore that we did). And their new valet system would be comic if it weren't […] so inconvenient. The wait for our car was well over ten minutes in front of the hotel, even though we had called 10 minutes before (as they told us to do) to have our car brought around. STAY AWAY! Devamı

Holiday Inn Arlington at Ballston is clean and well-kept. Staff is very accommodating. Joined their rewards program which is NOT attached to a credit card - much preferred! Located in a great area of Northern Virginia with shopping and many dining options, it is also convenient to DC and tourist attractions. THE BEDS WERE VERY COMFORTABLE HOWEVER I FOUND THE ROOM TO BE EXTREMELY SMALL AS THERE WERE (3) OF US AND 1 CHILD. THE ROLLAWAY BED WAS SQUEEZED INTO A VERY NARROW WALKWAY WHICH BLOCKED THE BATHROOM. WE HAD ALL OF THE ACCOMODATIONS THAT WE ASKED FOR.

The Holiday Inn at Ballston was as requested. Convienient to Metro, mall, resturaunts. Parking very good. Provided transportation to locations within a mile. Resturaunt was nothing special, wasn't what I expected.

I have stayed in this hotel many times, especially when I drive to DC. You can't beat the parking facilities, convenient and free. However, the hotel is certainly beginning to show its age and is in need of a renovation. The carpet in the hallways is faded. The elevator floor carpet was dirty most of the time. The beds are a little hard. There is no […] built-in closet in the room, but a stand-alone wardrobe. There are other hotels that I would rather stay in but the parking and price of this hotel often determine that I'm staying there. The service is good. Devamı

I only stayed a night but I found the staff to be very helpful and knowledgeable about the aria. The room was clean and well stocked; I was very pleased the gift shop had so much to offer. I will defiantly stay there again.

walking distance to metro, cosi is next to metro excellent, balllston mall has movie theater & food which is also good to relax

Rooms were large but quite noisy. Probably the thin walls used for cost efficiency. You can hear the neighbor flush or bang their bathroom door. The Location was perfect, very near a Metro Stop and close to many restaurants in Ballston. Its a Holiday Inn folks!

I was in town for business reasons and was in the hotel for about 12 hours - but it was nice, clean and staff was friendly!

All is acceptable except the noisy heater. We had to turn off the heater in order to sleep. Then, we woke up because of coldness.

I was very happy with my stay last week. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. I had dinner in the restaurant twice and it was delicious both times. Jay the shuttle bus driver took me to school every day and picked me up when I called him. My only complaint the whole week was the diverter on the shower did not come up all […] the way so I didn't get the full effect of the shower; however the water was hot and it didn't run out. I will definitely stay there again if I have another class in Arlington. Devamı

When I travel in this are again I plan to stay there again.

After some inconvenience at check-in, we had a good stay, The room was not what we reserved (2 queen beds vs. a king), but we were satisfied. The fan in the room was LOUD, but when we turned it off, we were bothered by LOUD neighbors! It was New Year's Weekend, so we let them enjoy their night, and turned the fan back on! Parking was excellent!

we still miss the trains that ran thru the restaurant. But all personell very nice
