close to backbeat tours, blues city tours. bb king's restaurant. hotel staff is excellent, great time we had in the few days we were there. hotels.com is superior with honest ratings and great customer service. we would go back sometime and do the same thing. thank you!

"Good location, but loud"
As long as you've spent a few hours drinking on Beale St. you should be able to sleep through the noise from the ballpark and the bars, otherwise think about staying somewhere a bit farther from Beale. Also, the service elevator was not working for 3 days after they said it would be fixed. Overall okay place though.

Hotel needs some upgrading, but location is great.
"A little tired"
The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved Memphis! Overall the hotel facilities, including the room were a little worn / tired which made it feel less than fully clean and comfortable. The "Breakfast Deal" with the check-in was a great deal for the hotel, but a bad deal for the traveler. The prepaid breakfast was for a one time use voucher […] toward the price of breakfast in the same amount that it was purchased for. The breakfast was expensive and a poor value. Service was very slow. It locked the traveler into having to eat there to get the prepaid dollars back. We might have been better off forgoing the dollars that we prepaid and eating somewhere else. Even though hotel is non-smoking the room still smelt like an ashtray. Tiny room even with only two adults was very tight.

"It's just OK"
Negatives: 1. The hotel is not on Beale St -- it's about 3 blocks away (I knew this when I booked it, but I still think "Beale St" should be removed from the hotel's title). 2. The free Wi-Fi was not accessible in my room. I was in a mid-hallway room without even a hint of a signal. 3. The shower head was some funky plastic piece of junk that leaked […] half the water out above the head. 4. Elevators are very slow -- especially from the parking garage. 5. Beds were not particularly comfortable. Positives: 1. I was able to check in early 2. The front desk was very nice 3. Huey's across the street -- great food & drinks! 4. Charlie Vergos' Rendezvous in the alley next to the hotel -- killer ribs! The beans and slaw can stand on their own, too! Conclusion: For the price, I would not stay here again. Devamı

"The Holiday Inn Downtown in Memphis"
The rooms were clean and tidy although Decour was a little tired. Bathroom was also clean. Recption was helpful. Hotel parking was available at extra cost. Reception was helpful and cheerful. Would use it again.

"Great place, but be prepared for a noisy night"
the Peabody next door has carriage rides. So even on the 8th floor you hear the clomping of horse hooves. Beyond that, it was a great place and staff was terrific. Parking around there stinks so plan on the extra $12 a day for in/out parking.

"Mediocre"
Stayed one night here before staying at The Peabody. The bathroom was not dirty but definitely not clean. The shower curtain had mold spots on the bottom and so did the ceiling tiles. All in all it's just an old run down hotel bought by a chain and fixed up just enough to be decent. Stay for the location and price but nothing more.

Check in very smooth. Parking garage easy to get in. Room ok but felt you are really paying for location. Elevators need updating. Staff very nice!

"Great Location, Dated Hotel"
The location in Memphis is excellent. Across from Peabody, next to Rendezvous, and short walk to Beale. The hotel is in great need of updating. The bathroom was falling apart. The sink was separating from the wall. The bathroom had a 2x2 lay-in ceiling. (not sure i have ever seen that before). The ceiling tiles were dirty and grid was in disarray. The […] outlet that our TV was plugged into was loose and every once in a while would fall out and TV would turn off. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful. they let us check in early. Not sure how to rate the cleaning staff; we told them to come back in an hour and they never did for 2 days. Devamı
"Good place to stay in Memphis"
Location was very good. Close to Beale Street, Gibson Factory, Autozone baseball park, Rock and soul museum. Tour buses pick up and drop off at entrance. Fair price - older hotel. Quit, clean, helpful and friendly front desk staff.

This hotel is old and needs elevator upgrades. Getting from self parking to the room takes too long because of waiting for slow elevators connections and unselected floor stops. Room was very drafty on a cold night and bathroom was never warm. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

"memphis holiday inn select"
The only reason I would not return to your hotel is the parking rate. If I would have known that I had to pay for parking in the hotel ramp???? The entire staff was both friendly & professional. Always willing to help with tours.directions.suggestions of where to eat. The people was your biggest selling point!

We were about 3 blocks from Beale Street. Walking distance was what we were looking for and what we got. This hotel was fine to stay in I have no complaints. I guess if I had to find something to complain about it would be that we had to pay $12 a day to park and parking was TIGHT in the garage. "Holiday Inn Select Downtown-great prox to Beale"
Great location-just a couple blocks from Beale. Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable rooms though a little dated. Bathroom was super tiny, room for one person. Overall, a good value for the location of the hotel and it's proximity to all.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was very good for my purpose -- conference over in the Peabody. The housekeeping crew was QUIET while working in the other rooms -- this is unusual for most hotels, and I like to sleep later than most people, so worked out great. Vending machine on 7th floor did not work -- would not take dollar bills (so […] I starved that night), but that is not a hotel management issue. Devamı
"Great location in Mempnis"
Drove to Memphis to see the opera and was in walking distance of the theater, Beale St, restaurants, and museums. The hotel is older but the rooms are refurbished. The service was great and I was able to keep my car in hotel parking past check-out which was a wonderful convenience.

Everything was clean and nice. The only thing was all the noise in the middle of the night. Being next to Beale St. Is kinda rowdy! If you don't mind that then you are all set.

"Holiday Inn Select in Memphis, TN"
This was a nice hotel. Close to downtown and clean comfortable rooms. The Elevator that takes you from the parking garage to your room was broken. We had to carry our stuff up a flight of stairs to get to an elevator to go to our room.
"Nice Hotel, But Cleanliness an issue"
This hotel had been remodeled since the last time I stayed there and was very nice overall. Good location and helpful staff except for the lady that initially checked us in. We were told that they had no more hotel parking and that we had to find parking at a private parking deck about two blocks away. However when we finished unloading our luggage, […] a helpful gentleman who worked at the hotel told us that there was an overflow parking deck we could use on the same block of the hotel. The room was nice and comfortable but there was an issue with the bathroom. On a ceiling tile above the shower there was at least four different types of mold. There was no way anyone could miss it (entirely covered with black mold). Enjoyed our stay overall, but avoid room 1462 unless you like a little mold with your shower. Devamı

We received a smoking room and requested a non-smoking room which could not be provided. The smoke in our room left my husband and I with headaches and poor sleep. The room was old and run-down. He definitely would not be staying there again.
