On the positive side:The staff was friendly and curtious. The location was close to Graceland which is why were were in Memphis to begin with We had breakfast on site and the wait staff was curtious and friendly and the food was good. On the negitive side: We were not satisfied with some of the accomodations at this hotel. The hotel was under some type […] of reconstruction. The hallways were dirty. If you can tolerate a hotel which is not up to cleanliness standards and have a good set of earplugs, this may be your hotel! It was not a clean hotel and I felt like the Fedex planes were landing on my roof all night long...

The room I had was very nicely done - lighting was amazing. The staff was the most helpful I've ever encountered.Restaurant had been open 2 weeks & I was the only one there but the burger was very good.

the only problem was I stayed there for 4 days and my room was only cleaned 1 time.

The hotel staff was friendly and the beds were comfortable, but this hotel really needs some work. It's conveniently located near Graceland and probably the cheapest in the area. I have very low standards when I travel-- I try to stay at the cheapest places because all I need is some place to lay my head. ideal location for graceland, a few minutes away by car but not a neighbourhood to walk around in. clean but worn rooms, had some old stains on armchairs in room, limited options for eating, best to head further into city centre, still a bargain if you only need somewhere to rest your head.

This place has received many poor reviews, but it is really a great place. I met 4 brothers (age 64-77) there for a reunion. All 5 of us loved this place. Everyone is friendly, going out of their way to help us with whatever we needed (including making made to order omelets and pancakes). Rooms are clean and comfortable. There is still some remodeling […] going on so yes, there is some dust. The neighborhood is not top notch, based on what some drivers told me. We ran into no problems. We saw no crime or ladies of the night. Security guard at night. I would certainly stay there again. If you go have the desk call Marlowes restaurant. They will pick you up in a pink Cadillac limo and bring you home (free). Reasonable food. Ruby is terrific at the front desk. When remodeling is complete this will be at least a 3 star hotel. They were still doing construction when my group stayed, but nothing was in the way. I booked three rooms, expecting them to be close together, however two of them were on the 2nd floor. Those two rooms were not cleaned at all and we were given new rooms closer to our third room. The staff was wonderful and were always around when I needed them. We […] frequently had key trouble, but it was always fixed. I appreciate that they always ask for an ID when issuing new keys, however, it gets in the way when the room isn't under your name. Hotel was pretty decent for the price. We did have to go down to get toiletries and there were little bugs in the bathroom. For the price I paid it was definitely worth it. The front desk people were very helpful and very nice!

near Graceland -only redeeming factor. Cockroach in tub, bad mattresses, still remodeling the lobby area, no comp breakfast. But was inexpensive, however we were uncomfortable there. Unless you really need to save the money, I wouldn't recommend it. staff was friendly.

In all fairness this hotel was under major remodel. We had a hard time finding it because the sign outside was covered with the name Cedar Hotel but it didn't light up and we came in after dark. Many things missing from rooms and some of the light switches broken. We had three rooms and had to change two. Window washers started at 7:30 AM and had radio […] going outside my sisters room. Nice hotel, I stayed at the time they were going through renovation. 2 floors out of 4 were ready and they were still working on lobby/bar etc... It is very near to Graceland and late night staff was really very good since I checked in at very late hours.. nice place to stay at reasonable cost.

Had to loose a night of paid hotel on this one. The hotel is all under renovations and it is being painted, dry wall dust everywhere! Had a asthmatic child with me and this was not going to work out. The hotel staff were nice and friendly. Not the best neighborhood in Memphis area I found.

The hotel had a smell that had ny head hurting, saw roaches, bathroom wasn't as clean as it needed to be...but from the looks of it there in the process of upgrading the hotel but there is plenty work to be done...basically for the price I paid I shouldn't be complaining because I got what I paid for bit if I had paid more I would have demanded a refund […] asap! Knew the hotel was being remodeled when registered and was what I expected. Room was clean, comfortable, accessable, and staff was friendly. I'll use again when in Memphis!

This was an awful hotel. In was under the construktion and there was no pool using, we odered non-smoking room, but somebody has smoked there. Sheets were not changed, at least it looked like that. We didn'n stay at this hotel, we got a new room another hotel, even we should pay this one too

The hotel was under construction, so the elevators where in and out, the air conditioning was not working and it was very hot outside. The bathroom we stayed in was gross. The surrounding neighborhood is very dangerous, so I would not recommend going anywhere by yourself or going anywhere at night. They are and were renovating while I was there. I stood at the front desk waiting to check out for more than 10 minutes before I seen anyone. I arrived an hour after check in time and was asked to wait 5 minutes for the maid to come with a room list; I waited longer than 5 minutes. The room was less than basic. The tv remote did not have batteries in […] it. The tv was fuzzy. The was dirt and wrappers around the bed base when we lifted up the comforter and it was dirty behind the bed. The toilet and shower was very stained, but seemed cleaned. We did not dare walk onthe carpet with our care feet. The sheets felt clean, but the pillows were so lumpt and the mattress was very uncomfortable; we kept waking up asking if it was morning yet and were very disappointed when it wasn't. There was no hotel information in the rooms about where things were located within the hotel. If other cars weren't parked outside, you'd think the place was abandoned; on one side of the hotel, the are no windows with furniture hanging out of them and behind the building there are toilets sitting by dumpsters. It served its purpose for some place to stay to just sleep and to only sleep. I recommend spending any extra time at the pool, NOT in the room. Devamı

GREAT HOTEL TO STAY FOR ENTERTAINMENT AT DADS PLACE (THE PLACE TO BE ) DURING ELVIS WEEK

The hotel was under remodel. It was in bad shape but should be better by next year for Elvis week. I requested a double double room, but was given a king. They said the hotel was booked, but do not think it was. I had requested the hotel room months in advance and was not informed they did not have a double double. I even called to verify a week before […] I arrived and was not notified of this. The tub would drain very slowly, so I had to bail water for the next shower. Hotel is in remodeling stage, from what i seen it is going to be Beautiful. Loved the design. The paint fumes were a little to much in room, causing eye burning. But sure that will all go away with time. Very nice hotel.

This hotel is in renovation! But that is not the real problem. They flat out lied to us when we asked for a King sized bed. "none are available" we were told. At least 3 parties of our group checked in after us and got a king sized room when they wanted two doubles. These people put 4 ladies in a room with one king sized bed. The surrounding neighborhood is rough with very ill looking people. The hotel lobby area was being renovated, but we stayed on the 4th floor and it needed lots of attention. Huge water stains on the hallway ceiling and dirty looking carpet and walls. The room we stayed in was ok but the pillows were uncomfortable. There were loud choldren staying in […] the rooms down the hall. People were in the parking lot late into the night which caused concerns with the car being down there. The owners of this hotel have no business opening until the renovations are completed! The paint fumes were nauseous, the security was questionable and it does not have a very welcoming appeal from the outside! The 1st room we were sent to did not have sheets on the bed, had a stack of old phone books on a chair and there was only 1 light that worked. […] There was a beautiful granite countertop in the bathroom however. As a gratis, I was given 2 free buffet breakfasts but there was no guarantee there would be a buffet if enough people were not staying at the hotel the night before.The next room we were sent to was old and shabby w/ cigarette burn marks on the bathroom counter; the bolt on the door would have easily been broken to gain access to the room. The access door to the parking lot was never secured - anyone could have gained access to the hotel at any time and we were on the 1st floor. I don't have any doubt that possibly sometime in the future that may be a beautiful hotel but they have no business letting rooms until the renovations are completed! Devamı

This is a disaster of a hotel. First, it's under major renovation / construction. It smells like fresh paint, enough to make you sick. They are renovating the bathrooms, therefore the crew is using the stairwells to urinate in. There were nasty stains on the matresses. The dresser was missing a drawer (honestly). There were burn holes in the comforter. […] The management team has been nothing but rude throughout this whole process. On top of all of this, it's in a poor location. We were very satisfied with our Hotel and especially the breakfasts Donna prepared, after all, it was the breakfast of choice for Elvis.. I can see why.. The location was quite convenient and I can't wait to see the results of the hotel after the renovation is completed..

My 3 daughters and I stayed in the Cedar / Memphis Airport Hotel last weekend and the room was comfortable and cool enough, the key worked in the door the first day and then did not work the second night after sightseeing, and the hair dryer did not work in the room. But other than all that the room experience was fine. However, I had to stand in line […] just to CHECK IN, because the girl who was working took SO LONG to do one person, who I believe had a special situation, and took a while to do, but I was in line for almost ONE HOUR!!! The only thing I had to do was say who I was, and get the key, which only took FINALLY about 3-4 minutes, but there were 3 people ONLY in front of me and it STILL took 45 minutes to check in!!! Luckily I was nice and let the second girl know (the first girl taking so long went to lunch during my wait and 10 more people waiting in line also!) that everything was OK in our room, because everyone else was complaining about waiting so long, and they wanted to cancel their reservations and go somewhere else. Room was ok...definitely spacious, but only a single towel and two decaf coffee pigs. Some renovation of the bAthroom desirable, since several floor tiles were heaved. Also, there were several guys hanging out in the parking lot in street clothes that mAde me nervous tho they may have been guards. The hotel was located in a pretty scary part of town... The hotel was under renovation, but the room was very clean, and comfortable. Once renovations are complete, this will be a fantastic hotel that is located in a very scary part of town... For the price, this was a good place to stay overnight.

I choose this hotel because I was attending a convention downtown and couldn't afford the $100+ for a luxury hotel near the convention center. Since my daughter was also in town with the baby I was able to get around the city pretty well. This hotel is being renovated so it should be better in a few months. They don't have cribs for babies. The maids […] need better training because the second day they forgot to clean the room . She forgot things like adding tissue paper, cleaning the sink and tub and adding coffee supplies. Once we arrived at the hotel, we were provided with a key that was occupied. It only took 5 min to have us reassigned to aother roo. The hotel was under construction. The toilet was running all night and had a nasty ring inside. The staff was very courteous.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. THE HOTEL WAS UNDER RENOVATION. AS THE CONSTRUCTION WAS DONE DURING THE DAY, IT WAS NO BOTHER TO ME. THE ROOM WAS LARGE, CLEAN WITH ALL THE REQUIRED AMENITIES. THE MATTRESS WAS VERY FIRM AND COMFORTABLE. THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL. THE AIRPORT LOCATION WAS NOT CONVENIENT. BUT THE ROOM RATE (NO DOUBT DUE TO THE RENOVATION) WAS FANTASTIC. We got the room at about half the price of other hotels in the area, when we arrived we found out why; there was some construction going on, but the location and cost were my primary concerns, so the noise from that and the airport weren't a big deal to me. I was in town for a funeral, and the location right near Graceland was ideal. Fenced, with cameras, […] decent rooms and service. Well worth what I paid. Devamı

The staff was rude. The housekeeper stole items from our room. The entire hallway smelled of marijuana. The rates were great, but I wish we had paid more at a different hotel. We will never stay there again.

The hotel was ok. I did not like the smell of the room. I asked for a non smoking room. There was a dead spider on the wall and I killed to spiders. Each day the room key was not working. There seem to be people staying there that were displaced from the flood I guess.

No longer called Cedar Hotel! I arrived after dark so it was hard to see street #. It is now called Airport Plaza or something like that. Staff was extremely nice. Neighborhood is kinda sketchy but the old whino down the street who gave me directions was super helpful. Parking lot has cameras, place is well lit & fenced. Hotel is older, but being remodeled. […] Room was clean, big & had fridge and microwave. Can't believe I paid half the price of the cheaper downtown hotels! 15 mins to zoo. super close to airport hence the name. I have to go back in a month and will totally stay there again. Devamı

Don't book this Hotel !!! Horrible neighborhood we need more than 30 minutes to find the cedar hotel. they change third time the name in 2 years !!! s no washingmaschine no pool no warm water for shower and very bad girls at the parking place .......

There were people loitering ALL the time in the parking lots-and they were not hotel stayers! made us very uncomfortable, the smell in the hallways smelled of lockeroom and bathroom. When we left the next morning the entrance smelled of urine and there were two empty brown bags that looked as if a bum had been drinking in there....i wont say never stay […] here, but i wouldnt for a long period-we were going to a concert leaving the next morning so it did not bother us much. First, the hotel was in a very run down area with nothing but a small canvas banner over an old sign to show where the hotel was. The staff was somewhat friendly to us when we checked in. While we were at the hotel we saw at least 3 other guests complaining about the cleanliness of their room and the lack of anything being done to rectify the situation. The […] sheets in our room were stained and had cigarette burns. The walls, bathroom, and fridge were all uncleaned. The only reason we stayed was because it was too late to get another room and we were only there one night. We ended up sleaping on top of the covers and not showering until we got home.
