"Holiday Inn Express SLO"
Nice and clean room, helpful staff, only negative was my wife wasn't happy with the bed
"Wireless Internet"
This hotel is quite large and the rooms most distance from the lobby (like ours) had a weak to non-existent wireless Internet connection. I had to sit in the lobby each time I wanted to use my laptop.
"Great Hotel"
This is a great hotel near Cal Poly and downtown SLO. We used the hot tub which was very nice. The front desk staff was nice and very responsive to any request. Great breakfast included. The only downside was the shower which was difficult to use but everything else was terrific!
"We couldn't use our toilet the next morning!"
Initially we were very happy with our experience at the Holiday Inn Express in San Luis Obispo. The pool and jacuzzi were clean and lovely and in view of the surrounding hillsides. The included breakfast was hearty with bacon, scrambled eggs and cinnamon buns among the choices. Our beds were clean and comfy. But we woke up the next morning to find that […] our toilet was backed up and unusable. When my husband went to the concierge to ask for it to be fixed, they said that nobody there could fix it because it was a special low flow toilet and they didn't have a maintenance person there on Sunday. We weren't offered any compensation for our troubles and were told we could use the public restroom in the lobby if needed. My husband tried to fix the toilet himself to no avail. For the price we paid to stay here this should not have happened. I wouldn't stay here again. Devamı
The hallways are blaw. The carpet could be changed and some nice pictures or softness to be added to hallways.

This hotel filled our needs very well. It is very convenient to have breakfast right at the hotel. The location was convenient for us.

"Great location, room had some issues"
You can't beat the location of the HIE for visiting Cal Poly. Just down the street from all the good shops and restaurants and walking distance to campus. Plenty of parking and the neighborhood is reasonably quiet. The issues that led me to give this a average rating had to do with the room. We stayed in a double Queen, which had a small table that […] might have been used for some work. However, there are no outlets that are usable anywhere except for the nightstand on the other side of the room. The second issue was the room had a reasonably potent mold smell that was clearly coming from mold under wall paper in the bathroom. All of these are addressable, but I recommend bringing an outlet strip if you intend to try any laptop work or to conveniently charge phones, etc. Devamı

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was great. Short drive/long walk to downtown area. A very nice HI Express.

Good Hotel during the memorial weekend. Rather high price since the hotel in Walnut Creek I stayed in three weeks ago was a hundred dollars less.

even thow we arrived early our room was ready. short walking distance to down town and resturants. . people working there very friendly and helpful. would stay there again

I requested a room with 2 beds over 3 months ahead of time. I got a queen and had to sleep with my mother!!! Also, we were put in a handicapped room. I am 6 foot 4 inches tall and had to squat to hang my clothes!!!! We were supposed to get a gift bag from our wedding party, but it wasn't delivered until 1 hour after the wedding started, it was supposed […] to be delivered the night before!! It had directions, attractions in the area, and a bus schedule to take us 15 miles to the wedding!! To say the least, we were very disappointed with the service at this hotel. When we complained to the front desk, The clerk said" If the gift bag's not there it must have just flown away" instead of apologizing for the poor service we received. This is the most disappointing stay I have ever had at any Holiday Inn Express and will question any further bookings with them. Rudeness from the staff is untolerable in the Hospitality industry. Maybe this place needs to remember the word "Hospitality" which describes their jobs!!!! Paying full price and getting poor service is not acceptable, ever!!! Finally, the towel rack in the bathroom was falling off the attachments to the wall!! I was not surprised!! Many rooms were booked with this wedding, and i have no idea how many others were left in the dark as a result of this hotel's poor management. The hotel made thousands of dollars off this wedding, you would think they would have attempted to make the guests feel welcomed. Devamı
"Holiday Inn Express San Luis Obispo near CalPoly"
Everything about this hotel was very nice. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Only negative was blankets on the beds. They were very thin and added no warmth. When I complained the front desk supplied me with a very nice down comforter. Made me wonder why they were in the rooms to begin with.

this was a great hotel to stay at for a weekend in SLO. it was clean, convenient, and I would definitely stay there again!

"Not bad"
The free breakfast was nasty. The hotel is at a nice location and you can take the trolly down town for 25 cents and it stops right in front of the hotel.

"Glad We Chose Holiday Inn Express"
The staff of this hotel went out of their way to accommodate our needs, including extending the room at no charge for a couple of additional hours. Our only concern was that the room smelled as if it had once been a smoking room and the odor was being covered up by some kind of disinfectant. "Holiday Inn Express- San Luis Obispo- Filthy!"
We were in Room 125. The shower had mildew in the grout and there was black curly hair on the floor from a previous customer. The bed was soft and very uncomfortable. Breakfast was provided but the buffet wasn't replenished frequently enough. "Outstanding"
Hotel was wonderful, newly renovated and staff was very helpful. We needed a bit of help with directions, they looked up our destinations and gave perfect assistance!

"Not a great value"
I find the hotel a bit pricey for the services and amenities we got. But it was very convenient for CalPoly parents. However, in the future, we will probably book at Oxford Suites in Pismo Beach, as that place was a good value.
"Good Hotel"
For our family, it was a nice hotel. The beds were really comfortable and it is really nice that there is a frig in the room. The breakfast in the morning also helps. I would stay there again.
