U232 Hotel - Barselona

The hotel was excactly like the photos. we enjoyed every moment of staying. very recommenable' great hotel.

The hotel was very quaint, and away from the more congested areas, which were easily accessible via the Metro. The room was small, but very clean and comfortable.

This hotel is exactly what the reviews say. Very clean, largerooms for europe(I'm from the US), and the staff were very helpful. I enjoyed every part of the stay. The location in not "perfect" but it's pretty ideal overall. And you're truly only 1 block from the nearest Metro stop, so everything is perfectly within reach. I thought that this hotel was excellent value. Very well appointed for the price, the bathroom was very nice, the size and comfort of the room was very good. Some people might complain about the location, but in Barcelona, the sights are spread all over the city, so you will need to take the subway, cabs, or walk no matter where you stay. The neighborhood […] around the hotel is safe, with plenty of cafes and even an excellent barber a few doors away. We stayed at another hotel near Sagrada Familia, more than twice the price, and although the view was wonderful, the room was nowhere near as nice as U232. I would recommend this hotel wholeheartedly to any traveler. The hotel is very comfortable and the attitude of the staff made us feel at home from the first minute we entered, They we wonderful to my five year old - he thought they were the best. First class in every way, from the moment you enter the charming, handsomely designed lobby to your designer room and bathroom! We were totally impressed. There isn't a 5 star hotel that could have performed better in our opinion.

U232 is a great hotel. Good staff, well maintained and comfortable. It sits about 15-20 minutes walking distance from La Rambla, so keep that in mind if you are coming as tourist. It is very close to the metro as well as the train station, so it is easy to get around. Overall, it is well worth the stay.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at U232. The staff were extremely helpful, the room decor was modern and generously appointed and th location was excellent. The only problem was that the hotel shuts off the AC in the winter time, so the room would get stuffy at times.

The hotel is very nicely decorated with lovely rooms. Although we travelled in November for 3 nights the tempreture outside was a pleasant 22C. The room, however was hitting up to 28C and got very humid...?!and the aircon was switched off for the 'winter' as we were told. We tried to open the balcony doors to let the breeze in but the noise from the […] outside was a bit of a shock. Then on the second morning of our stay we ordered room service. Little did i know.. The man just walked into the main area as he managed to get past my boyfriend trying to block him in without any success..with me still in bed..it all made it very awkward for us but not for him, as he did not seem to see any barriers. It did not held the matter that the night before when my boyfriend was asleep and me in the shower qwe had an unexpected guest, or shall I say two.. Someone at the reception gave the keys to our room to a couple that had just arrived, at 10.30 pm. Our advice for anyone planning to stay in 232U: Lock up your door at all times, bring ear plugs, learn Spaning to be able to order room service and have your breakfast in a local cafe to keep your dignity safe. WOW! This hotel was fantastic. Friendly, helpful staff who speak several languages. The rooms are very clean, modern & comfortable. MUCH better than I was expecting, considering the price we paid. We did not use the breakfast restaurant, but other guests commented to us it was great. Hotel is in an great location. A metro stop at the end of the road […] & two stops from Sants main station, where you can connect to the airport train. Airport to city centre €3, single metro journey €1.40. Overall, fantastic! We found the staff to be fantastic and very helpful. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed with the one exception of no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Still this did not take a way from this being a grat place to stay in Barcelona

Loved this hotel. The staff spoke English well and were very helpful. The hotel is small but very cosmopolitan in the interior design. The room is exactly the way it is displayed online. The common areas and computer facilities were excellent as well. While it wasn't in the heart of the city, it was close to the hop on hop off bus line, which we used […] to tour the city. U232 is a fantastic hotel. The lobby and rooms were very nice.Beds very comfortable. The staff was fantastic. The location was very good; just a block from the metro station.

We were extremely pleased with hotel U232. It was within walking distance to Las Ramblas and the shopping line. The hotel staff spoke english which was very helpful for us Americans. They went the extra mile and helped us order take out . The rooms are clean and nicely appointed. My only complaint is that the bed was flat as a board, BUT the rooms were […] much larger than most other European hotels and we had plenty of space. I highly recommend this hotel! My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a few days while on a trip to Europe to celebrate out 20th wedding anniversary. The hotel staff was great and very generous with their time. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The neighbourhood is quiet, beds were comfortable, internet access is available off of the lobby and the hotel is very close to the red and blue stops on the Turistic Bus line--which I highly recommend. All the beautiful sights in this city can be reached with this hop on hop off service. It really can't be […] beat if you don't have a lot of time. We stayed at U232 for 6 nights in May 2010 and were very impressed. We had a large, sound-proofed room with a wall-mounted flat-screen TV, comfortable bed and a decent sized bathroom complete with bathtub and power-shower. Complimentary toiletries were provided as were slippers, which I felt was a nice touch and the free wi-fi in the room was definitely […] a bonus! The only downside to the room was it was overlooking a busy main road and as the hotel is close to a hospital, there was constant traffic noise and ambulance sirens. This did not bother us as we were always tired after exploring Barcelona all day but it might be a good idea to ask for an inner-facing room if you are a light sleeper. The hotel is in a residential area about 2 mins walk to the Metro and from there, no more than 2 or 3 stops to all the main attractions. There are quite a lot of places to eat nearby, frequented by locals, rather than tourist traps as well as a couple of mini-markets and cafes where you can pick up freshly made sandwiches and other picnic provisions. The U232 staff are polite and friendly and always respected the "do not disturb" sign, returning to clean our room once we had gone out for the day. We booked U232 on a room only basis and thought the price was extremely reasonable particularly as we paid a lot more 3 years ago for a different hotel much further out of the centre and not of such a high standard. I like this small botique hotel, it is clean, reasonably priced and located near the Metro station. I did not like hotel management asking (more like a demanding) that I change to a differnt room (to thier credit they did move me to a better room) because they simply needed a room with 2 beds. Although I told hotel I would consider their request to […] switch room, I did not given them my consent. Following day, Hotel simply decided to move my possesion to a differnt room while I was out of a hotel. What shocked me the most is, hotel moved my valuable (lots of cash, jewery, wallet and passport) left in my room safe. Luckly nothing was missing. The Hotel is just 3 blocks south of Avenida Diagonal the longest street in Barcelona. This street slices through the center of entire city. The all day open top narrated tour bus is so easy to get get to from the Hotel. It provides a wonderful all day experience of getting on and off seeing and learning about the city. Highlights are the clean and fairly new rooms, lobby, modern furniture. As of late 2009 they have 2 computers and decent Internet speed completely free of charge. My husband & I stayed 2 nights, the bed was comfortable, our room was very quiet, we loved the breakfast buffet. It was a short walk to the Metro station which was easy to figure out. My new wife and I went to Spain for our honeymoon and this was one of the hotels we went to out of 4 hotels/cities. The hotel was nice, classy, and despite thinking that the neighborhood looked sketchy on google street-view, the neighborhood actually was safe feeling and okay. It's not in the heart of Barcelona, nor is it near any good restaurants. […] I wouldn't recommend it for honeymooners or romantic getaway. I'd say it's a good hotel for business people, or people visiting the university across the street. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they had internet computers for free, which was really nice. Oh yeah, and the showerhead reviews are true. My wife and I stayed @ U232 for 6 nights during our 2 week honeymoon and were very happy with the hotel. Yes it is a ways from Las Ramblas but only if your walking. 1 block from the metro station (hospital clinic stop) which will take you anywhere in the city. Metro system much different than here in the states, cleaner and safer. 2 blocks from the […] bus stop,#14 or 59 bus (N12 @ night) which will take you directly to Las Ramblas in less than 10 minutes. Hotel stay could not be more friendly or helpful with what ever you may need. Free internet which was a huge plus. Neighborhood is not bad, few bars and resturants. Great shopping mall 15 minutes away on foot (Avinguda Diaginal & Aviguda Sarria). Devamı

Couldn't have asked for a nicer environment, location or staff. Everyone eager to assist and please. Location convenient to public transportation and tourist sightseeing buses.

The room was very clean, A/C cold, staff was excellent & almost all shifts had a english speaking clerk on duty. They were especially helpful in providing directions & locations. There was construction going on the street in front of the Hotel which made it a little noisy. The location of the hotel is not near any of the tourist areas(ie, las Ramblas, […] City Centre, beach, etc0, but only a couple blocks away from the subway. all in all I would recommend this hotel for young couples or singles who are looking for a out of the way hotel off the beaten path Devamı

I stayed for 1 night with my son on our road trip from Marbella to Manchester. Great location, car park next door which was a bit expensive, but very chic hotel. Our room was at the front of the hotel so a bit noisy in the morning but would not stop me from staying again.

I loved this hotel! The surrounding neighborhood was very safe (which was my number one requirement) and it was super close to a subway stop. We booked this place because of the midday pricing. The location is easy to get to and near metro, and the neighborhood is good. There was a construction project going on in front of the entrance, but besides that the environment was nice. Hotel is about 25-30 mins walk from the Ramblas. In fact if you take the metro, it takes the same time considering 1 transfer between lines plus more arduous and uncomfortable. Staff were not very friendly. However terrace was nice in the room. Bed was two twins put together, this is not comfortable for any couple.

Good hotel, but it's about a 30-40 minute walk to Las Ramblas; which is the main strip. If we had to do it all over again, we would have found a hotel closer to LR. This is not to degrade U232. It's a good hotel, and the for the price was well worth it.

This is a very nice hotel that is near the business area of Barcelona. It is centrally located but not real close to many of the popular attractions or restaurants. I probably would not recommend this hotel for folks interested in walking thru the local attractions but a 2 day pass on the "Turistic" buses allows this and the bus stops are very close […] to the hotel. I will book my next Barcelona hotel near the beach but will probably spend more money for fewer amenities. Devamı

The hotel is very conveniently located. In a great neighborhood to just walk and find what you see, Gaudi buildings are very near by. Staff is excellent! My husband's passport was stolen on our last day, a Friday, and had to add 3 nights to our stay, they were right there to accomodate us. With the Metro near by, you have access to whatever you want […] to do or see. Again never tired of walking the neighborhood and being a part of it. Devamı
