Clarion Hotel - Oxon Hill

This was the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. I had to ask for a refrigerator & microwave. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Not recommended for anyone!!!!

The Clarion was OK. It's close to the National Harbor, and I was expecting a much nicer hotel. The gymn was small and dirty. The treadmills did not work, but I was told they were fixed the next day. It's an OK stay if you need to.

For the price this hotel was acceptable. The staff was nice and helpful and the rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. Parking was provided with no cost, which in this area was a major plus. The neighborhood was not very good if you went far from the hotel, and would certainly not go alone. I stayed here on buisness for one night in July. The entire hotel smells of mildew. My bathroom was dirty and there was mold in the tub. This hotel is not a 2 star, not even a 1 star. Dont stay here.

This was a convenient hotel to the National Harbor area. Nice place but it seems like it hadn't seen a vacuum (both in rooms and public areas) for a while. Clean otherwise.

This is a nice hotel in Oxon Hill area. It is conveniently located near NRL. The drive from BWI is almost a straight shot and an easy commute. From the hotel, I295 to I395 also provides easy access to downtown DC or the Pentagon. The national harbor area is nearby and offers some upscale restaurants with a good view.

It's a good hotel, but not great. You can still smell the smoke from when it was allowed. Nice to have a bar and restaurant so you don't have leave the hotel, b/c area isn't that great, but safe enough in the hotel. Room was nicer than expected. Short jaunt into DC, so it's a good option to save money if you have to rent a car. Nice lobby, but this changes as you go upstairs as it becomes just a standard hallway with rooms off the side. Good value for the price. Very convenient to get back on the highway. I was there just a few hours and did not get a chance to experience all the ammenities.

I was attending a conference at the Gaylord about 2 miles from this Clarion, the Clarion was the only "hotel"(term used loosely) with rooms available 3 weeks prior to the event. The hotel is old and you can smell that the rooms were smoking rooms at one point, they were very musty and unpleasant smelling. The wall uint air conditioner sounded like you […] were next to a train track as a train was roaring past, the 27 inch tube TV blew out after 3 minutes of viewing so no TV for the first evening. Each day the maid would turn off the AC so when I would return to the room 12 hours later it would be in the mid 80's in the room and extremely smelly, it would take the overly loud AC until the wee hours of the morning to cool the room off. The room price was low but it is a case of if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. I wouldn't recommend it unless you just need a bargain basement place t0 sleep for a night. Devamı

the hotel staff could be a little more available, but the room was comfortable and clean and the hotel was elegant

There were no microwave in the rooms nor in the hotel at all.

There was nothing spectacular about this hotel. I would've been happier on the waterfront, but I was unfamiliar with the area. The hotel obviously has changed management several times, the room was ok, but everything was old and out dated. The excercise room was quite old. The bartender was about the best thing there along with the food. If you end […] up there, you won't be totally impressed, but you can sleep there. I would rather had been at the waterfront. If you are trying to avoid paying the high cost associated with staying at National Harbor which is one mile away, you will be disappointed. The Clarion Inn on Oxon Hill Road is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The big poison feeder for mice located outside the entrance should have been the clue that I needed to just pay the cancellation fee associated […] with my stay. Here is a list of problems associated with my stay: 1. Hotel is unclean and rooms were not cleaned appropriately on any day 2. For the business traveler like myself, the wi-fi did not function during my entire stay. The front desk just kept saying " I thought they fixed that yesterday. Here's a phone number you can call". 3. Business room never functioned as printers and computers often were not funcitoning. 4. No complimentary breakfast is available and the breakfast served as a buffet for $10.00/ day is horrible. 5. The grounds were often unclean, littered with glass and trash. 6. Parking is free but there are limited spaces in the front of the hotel and the back of the hotel is not very secure for those coming and going. 7. The front desk staff did not appear to be the brightest and the best. They often gave rehearsed answers for complaints. I would have to rank this hotel as poor and would not recommend it to anyone staying in that area of town. Furthermore, avoid all hotels on Oxon Hill Road. They appear to all be of similar quality.
