Why charge $12 for Internet service? I stay in plenty of moderately priced hotels and Internet service is free. Your hotel is too classy to force your guests to pay an additional charge for what should be free.

The detroit marriot was a absolute GREAT experience it exceeded My expectation from The Movie theater a cvs inside a bar The people mover that takes you TO The casino back TO The marriot cant wait TO go back

This is a quality property. It would have been great to have been on the river side...but I guess not everyone can be on the river. We were at this room on a very cold night and without the drapes closed the windows seemed to let in a lot of air. The bar at the top of the hotel is the best.

Great location in downtown Detroit. Easily accessible to all points of interest. Fairly large hotel with rooms on high floors with views of Canada! The cleanliness is superior to many hotels and service very good. It is not tacky or over done. I will definitely stay here again. I really enjoyed my stay.

Excellent View!! Very Clean! Helpful! Three friends and myself had a great night in Detroit. Accommodations were excellent and would definitely stay there again.

After attending several North American Auto Show after parties, it was wonderful to come back to our room and gaze over the city, the Detroit River and the Ambassador Bridge. The city lights were amazing. The hotel staff was more than pleasant and extremely helpful. Service was exemplary. Additionally, with the Marriott connected to the Detroit Peoplemover, […] it made navigating the city extremely simple. No need for cabs or cars! Will be back again for sure! Devamı

Years ago when the "Ren Center" opened, we visited several times and stayed at the hotel. What a booming and festive place! Wow, what change now. So dissapointing. We can definatey cross it off our "bucket list". Marriot was O.K.

The hotel is quite large, so there can be problems navigating. The room had a nice view of the river and Windsor, but the closet was much too small to hang up clothes, and the bathroom did not have enough counter space. The flat screen HDTV was a nice touch. The coffee stand did not have cream or sugar.

Great hotel for a short stay. The restaurant had an exceptional breakfast buffet. It was a little pricey ($21/ person) but the portions were big and the food was outstanding. The Thanksgiving meal was also very good, but portions were disappointingly small. My friend and I ended up getting pizza a couple hours later. We traveled for a game at Ford Field. […] That, and Comerica Park are just a short walk away. Overall, excellent hotel. Devamı

Absolutely unbelievable stay at the Marriot on the Wed night before Thanksgiving. I was staying in room 5110 and at 12:45am a fire broke out on the 51st floor. After proceeding down 51 flights of stairs I was appalled to see many children and older people out on the street with no blankets and water while waiting for clearance to reenter the building. […] I stayed in limbo about my possesions and more importantly my passport until 400am. At this time I was allowed to gather my belongings and was assigned a new room. You think for all of our trouble the hotel would comp our room for the night and not a credit being that I live 28 hours away and have no plans to be in Detroit any time soon. The hotel itself was nice but the experience was a disaster therefore I am not recommending the Marriott Devamı

This hotel was amazing. The staff was very friendly and super helpful. This was my first time to the Detroit area and I hadn't heard glowing reviews; however, this trip changed my opinion completely and it all started with the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel was nice but the room was on the floor next to the neon stripe going around the top of the building and keep us up all night long!!!! dont get your room near the 54 level!!

I enjoyed every bit of my stay here, but it was definitely not worth the cost. I feel like I paid too much for a room the size of my bedroom. I know it cost more for the convenience of the location, but they really made up for it by room size.

Access to the hotel valet leaves much to be desired. I would imagine many people could be confused with the multiple walkways and floors, there are very few directional maps in the building with regard to positions of stores,bars, restaurants available to the guests. The women at the front desk and all the employees were great.

The stay was very enjoyable. The end to a perfact day. I would like to have stayed longer. Great bed, linens, drinks, view.

Housekeeping mistakingly took clothes from room and it was a mystery game trying to figure this one out. To sum it up I ended up leaving without my shirt after all the promises from the hotel, very unprofessional.

The elevators in this place are a big problem. Getting to your room can be a major undertaking.

The hotel room was smaller than I expected, reminded me more of a Hampton Inn with nicer bed coverings. The rooms have a forced air HVAC unit that makes a loud whistle noise all night. Also, each time a door in on the same floor was closed, it would vibrate the wall just enough to make the fire alarm in the room ring a little. Stay was excellent not only because it was very clean and the personnel (bellhops, waitresses, etc.) very friendly, but it was central headquarters for the Jazz festival and there were nightly jam sessions in the lobby. Great views of the river and the fireworks.

Great hotel to go to with a nice view, does suck you have to pay for parking, which you should't not have to.

At the cost of this room I was absolutely offended that you had to pay extra if you wanted wifi in your room, tried to use laptop and it came up with fee. I called desk and they said thats extra. I have stayed in holiday inn, ramada,and even howard johnsons for a little money a nite and FREE internet service. For them to charge me a lot of money a nite […] for a room, and by the way NO POOL and then want extra for wifi is an insult and I will NOT be back to that hotel. Devamı

Nothing beats the views from the tallest building in Detroit. Very fast elevators, courteous and friendly staff, top notch.

Very busy hotel. This particular stay had a lot of younger kids roaming the hotel at all hours. Patrons in the elevator were either drunk or high. If I wasn't on the 53rd floor I would have taken the stairs. Card readers in the elevators can get tricky at times. Other than that, the hotel is a great location. Use hotels.com to get a discounted rate. […] Rooms are clean and room service is always on time. I suggest using room service versus standing in line for breakfast buffet. Same price plus the comfort of your room. Just note, if you use your debit card to check in, they will deduct $25 from your card. Takes a couple weeks for them to return the $25. What I would have done different: Requested a room away from the elevators, waited a couple different times to get into the elevator. We have stayed at this hotel numerous times and this was the first time we had a complaint. It was a busy summer weekend! Devamı

We were told by the lady that booked the room for us from Hotels.com that we were getting a hot tub room. When we got there we were told that there was no hot tub rooms in the whole hotel. So then I felt like we were over charged for a room.

I have no complaints other than there were no fridges available for the rooms. Considering I stayed during a very busy weekend, the staff of the hotel were well prepared and handled it flawlessly. If I come during Memorial weekend again, I'll be staying at the Marriot at Hart Plaza for sure.

Everything was very nice, we enjoyed staying at the hotel. RoomService was a little slow (when we ordered towels , it took them 1,5 hour to get to the room after 3 phone calls to the reception) but overall we had a really god, time. Good that hotel has all the restaurants , cafe, shops and so on inside. Bank of America ATM was perfect for me. Outside […] yard and bar was nice but a little bit pricey. Volt bartender was slow as well. we were checking out and wanted to get couple of beers before we go, while we had out bags taken out, but bartender never came up to us and ask us what we want, we just had to walk away. Location is great, very close to the festival, that we came for. Food was the room service was pretty good. After all, very good experience, Thanks a lot . We will def be back P.S. Beds are comfy, rooms are small and mostly updated. Ok hotel, the location is great if you plan to hang out downtown.

On the waterfront, close to Woodward Ave, one of the main streets of Detroit. Excellent, friendly staff. Good place to stay.

This hotel is right where you want to be in downtown Detroit. Dinner on the 71st floor is a must, and after-dinner drinks in the Volt bar is the way to end a wonderful evening. Comerica Park and Ford Field are blocks away. Also within walking distance is the opera house and several night life locations. Detroit Marriott was chosen since it has access to fine resturaunts, a movie theater and right inside the once largest corporation of the world, GM. Its right on the riverwalk and with inclimate weather, there are shops and seating areas in every corner, not to mention the display of GM's best automobiles. We come here for our anniversary celebration […] and it is perfect. There is even a Godiva/ice cream shop across from Andiamo's Resturaunt. I hope to be back next year! Devamı

My husband and I splurged for our anniversary, and this location was perfect! Fantastic sunny weekend - right outside the Ren Cen and you're on a fantastic riverwalk, complete with small outdoor cafes, a carousel for kids, duck ponds, and very cheerful people!! Getting around on the People Mover was a snap from the hotel ($.50/ride), to hit the Fox […] Theater and Comerica Park with their bars, taverns, and cafes for a night out, while fast food, the Ren Cen 4, and Andiamo's in the Ren Cen was perfect for quick snacks, a movie, and a wonderfully romantic treat within the complex itself. We splurged for the breakfast buffet with our room, and it was well worth it - saved us some money while providing a lovely view of the river to wake up to. We can't wait for a repeat - we're just sorry it took us so long to discover downtown Detroit. Devamı

My stay at the hotel will always be a memorable experience! I picked this place for the views of the river and city and the room did not disappoint! 62 floor. Volt bar in the main lobby is a great place to enjoy cocktails with family & friends. The employees were friendly and helpful. The gym had great equipment that you would find in your typical sports […] club. Room service & breakfast were great, try the hasbrowns. Great location within downtown. My only negative feedback would be that the furniture in the room was outdated. It looked like something you would find at salvation army. Other than that everything else was excellent! Devamı

Loved the hotel. Staff was outstanding! Great location-used the people mover all weekend for easy access to the ball park, casinos, and other amenaties, especially Greek town. Ren. building is beautiful if a bit confusing at first. Bed very comfortable! A bit dissapointed at the bathroom--was not up to the standards we are used to with a Marriott--very […] plain, old tub and tile. Could also tell that room had not been used for a while; though clean, it was VERY dusty! I literally wrote my name on the kleenex box holder in the dust and left it there. The maid never did clean it up in the 3 days we were there. Also, when doing the room, the maid did not replace the coffee & tea service that is part of the room. We had to go looking for coffee in the morning because we had none in the room. Everything was great but the maid service leaves a LOT to be desired. I would stay there again without hesitation but I would be very sure to leave specific instruction to the maid service as to what I want done. All in all, a great stay--i just recommend the Marriott review their maid staff and do some further training. Devamı

The hotel was basically fine but the vision of the Renaissance Center as a shopping destination isn't there. Lots of vacant space gave it a slightly spooky feeling particularily coupled with the overuse of exposed concrete. The whole thing isn't quite right.

The Ren Cen is as large and confusing as I remember. Two of eight restaurants were open in the food court. I had a nice view of the river,.TV was nice and the king size bed was super comfortable.
