Peninsula Excelsior Hotel - Singapore

Otel Singapore'un en stratejik noktasındadiyebilirim heryere çok koılay ulaşılabiliyor. Metro istasyonuna, alışverişmerkezlerine, barlara yürüme mesafesinde. Otel biraz eski bir otel ama yatakları, çarşafları oldukça temizdi. Otelde az vakit geçirip şehri gezmek isteyenler için iyi bir alternatif olabilir.

Firstly, I paid for a room in excelsior tower but upon checking in they told me I'd be in the older tower. After showing my annoyance a room suddenly became available. I get the impression check in staff are told to give the same story to keep the better rooms free. I wasn't impressed with this. The room was average, except the safe didn't work and […] the bathroom was infested with ants. Like I always say you get what you pay for. Location is everything for this hotel, and its the cheapest in the area. Staff were friendly. Food was ok, facilities ok. Devamı

Whenever I and/or my family are in Singapore, we always stay in this hotel. The location and price can't be beat. It's right beside Funan Mall, there's a Spinelli coffeeshop at the ground level, the MRT station is very near and so with a Watson's and 7/11, also near Clarke Quay and Raffles City. It's location is near everything! We've already recommended […] this to family and friends and they too were satisfied. Though they may have increase their rates but that's understandable, due to their recent room renovations. But I hope they won't jack up their rates too much or we might have to consider other hotels soon. Otherwise, we are always happy with Peninsula-Excelsior. :-) Devamı

The hotel is <5 minute walk from City Hall MTR station. Easy to get to and from the airport. Within walking distance to Clarke Quay. The rooms were spacious. We booked two rooms but the staff could not arrange the rooms close to each other. The location is very convenience. The receptionists were very nice and helpful. The room was big and comfortable. However, the room service was yet up to standard as we found used cups and teaspoons when we entered the room on the first day, room service forgot to provide us with floor towel on the second day and they left a clean bed sheet on the sofa […] on the third day We suspected they were new staff to the hotel. The overall vibe of the hotel is just so so but i rarely stay in the hotel anyway, because of work. I would stay here again when I come to singapore because it's close to everything and its in CBD.

We spent five nights in the Peninsular Hotel and found it the staff pleasant and helpful. We were close to where we wanted to go but was away from traffic noise. Maybe the food in the restaurant could have been better however the staff were friendly and helpful.

Although internet connection is "free", you need a physical connection through a laptop to access it in your room. Any wifi must be paid for, and the computers provided in the business center was 10SD dollers fo 15 minutes of use! I thought that was pretty cheap of them considering how much we paid for the room. I up-graded the room because of early check-in. The club floor was comfortable, and I got nice view!

I truly recommend this hotel. It has a great location, you can walk to a lot of attractions and it is also easy to get to/from the airport. Stuff is very friendly and helpful. My husband and I arrived few hours earlier after a night flight. Our room was not ready but we were able to,take a shower and refresh ourselves. And room... First stay at this hotel in Singapore. Very pleased. Very efficient and professional staff. Comfortable room, very clean. Ideal location in Singapore CBD. Approx 25min taxi ride from airport. Will def stay here again.

The Peninsula Excelsior is a little worn in some respects but it puts you within easy distance of the MRT and key sights and shopping in Singapore's downtown. There are good hawkers around the corner and across the road so you can keep food costs down. If price is not a concern the breakfast buffet was fairly good.

A group of friends and I booked a room at Peninsular excelsior to celebrate christmas and I was quite unhappy about a couple of things. Firstly, we requested for a bucket of ice and was told that it was free. Because the bucket was extremely small(just enough to fit one regular bottle of beer), we requested for another one and was told that it was $5.90++. […] Rather costly for ice, no? Subsequently we requested for 6wine glasses and was told that we can only get 3. I don't think it's very hard to provide a customer with wine glasses. In the end my guests had to share the glasses, slightly embarrassing. Lastly, my boyfriend accidentally cut himself and we called the recep to request for a bandage. No bandage. the room is quite normal , the service is just ok but the good point for this hotel is 'location' ; it's close to every where !!! i d like to recomand this hotel for people who are coming to biz and also some shopping in Singapore !!!

The stay was OK, only we never get the joining room as per our requirement, and this is the 3rd time, we have to fight and wait for almost 45 minutes in the reception to get the same floor for our rooms.

The hotel was ideally suited downtown Singapore and allowed me to have easy access to Raffles for a traditional Gin Sling and the RMT. They willingly kept my lauggage all day as I had a late night flight. They are practiced at this and I felt comfortable with their process and safety. Both times they changed bedsheets there were dirty stains...so much so that I had to put a towel on it to sleep. Was very tired to call up hotel....

the location of the hotel is close to train station, restaurant, stores so it is convenient. 1. When I tried to check in at 11am+ I was told to come back at 12pm+. Subsequently I walked in at 2.30pm ...I was told the room was not ready and was asked to wait again. 2. good price, great location.

The hotel's quite close to the MRT, so you can get around everywhere. It's beside Funan IT Mall, so you can get to shop for good deals on electronics. The hotel service was very good and the room was very comfortable overall, despite it being the smallest package.

Everytime we come visit Singapore, we always stay here. The location is perfect. It's near City Hall MRT station, a Watson's and a 7-11 for your small needs, the SIA Hop-On Hop-Off bus stop, Funan IT Mall, the Merlion, Clark Quay, Raffles City, Chijmes, Suntec, etc. Also, the rates were very reasonable. Although lately, they have jacked up their prices […] mainly bec of their recent renovations and bec of their proximity to the Formula 1 race tracks which happens every Sept. Also, during this recent trip of ours, one of our rooms (we booked 2) was stinky. The foul smell was coming from the toilet. We complained about this at the Front Desk. We were told that they cannot give us another room at that time, since they were fully booked. They will ask housekeeping, though, to do something about it. When we returned later in the day, the stink remains. It was awful. Now that the hotel has raised their rates, it is expected that their maintenance and upkeep must also be improved. Another incident happened with our other room. The same room number was given to another set of guests! They were able to open our room, with us inside. This was easily solved and the following day, we were given a fruit platter as a way of apologies. Other than that, Peninsula-Excelsior is still a good place to stay. Very convenient location. Hotel Peninsula is conviniently located at the center of the city. There are some good vegetarian eat outs nearby. They do charge a deposit amount even after full payment in advance for the room. They arrange for local sight seeing as well. You could check out early but can leave your baggage at the level 1 and pick it up late in the evening. 5 minutes walking to Clarke Quay or Boat Quay, Raffles hotel, Chijmes, or 10m walking to Chinatown, makes its location a great one. There are other hotels that offer better value. At Peninsula Excelsior, you pay for the view and nothing more. Don't expect excellent customer service or anything of that sort.

Good hotel for an overnight stay, very helpful we were catching a plane at 11pm and were able to check out in the morning and return and have a shower and change clothes at 7pm. using either the pool area or another area they have, this was very useful as we were hot and sweaty from all day in Singapore and had a 12hour flight ahead of us.

While the room was decent the views from the room and the location were extrordinary. This hotel is close to many attractions and the MRT station. My view of the marina area I could see the sands, the esplinade, and the convention center among others. Excellent location, excellent value for the price. My rate included breakfast and internet access, all for a much lower price than most Singapore hotels.

I chose this hotel on the basis of a more resonable price compared to other hotels I've previously stayed in in Singapore. Knew it would not be as good as those others and was proved right, but it was OK. Not great, just OK. Room was a bit shabby, view from my corner room would have been great if I could have seen though the grime and the condensation […] clogging the double glazed panes. Bed was comfy though. Bathroom was basic and cramped and to be honest awful. Friendly staff. The very best thing though is the location! Excellent - a very short walk to the MRT (direct line to Orchard or to Expo/airport) and an easy stroll to Clarke and Boat Quays for the bars and restaurants. Not the best of hotel breakfasts, especially for 30 SGD, it was cramped there anyway so save your money and eat elsewhere or grab a coffee at the coffee shop at the hotel entrance. Use the local mini-marts for supplies, just over the road. I'd stay there again for a good location for my business visit, but would choose somewhere else for a family trip. Devamı

I didn't have a bad experience at this hotel, but I was expecting a little more for the price paid. Next time I go to Singapore I will pay a little more to hopefully receive the outstanding service I look for when traveling.

This hotel is a good choice. Not too overpriced. The room was modern and clean with two single beds as I have requested. Clean bathroom and towels, which is very important. It had a safe, bar fridge and water kettle, so I could have my cup of coffee when I woke up in the morning. The location is central. A nice walk to China Town, Orchard Road, Raffles […] Hotel etc. The Metro Station is close by. Friendly and helpful Hotel Staff. I would always stay there again. Devamı
