Swissotel The Stamford, Singapore - Singapore

The view at 62nd floor was simply AWESOME. Probably same level with Marina Sand ! The Front desk & staff were fantastic & efficient. The pool,spa & etc were too great for words. Security was really good. You need to be there to have 'hands on experience'. Wah la!

It's realy a place that we call home away from home. The location is the best close too a MRT and short walks too great place like Marina Bay Sand and Qlark Quay and Raffels is on the other side off the road. Breakfast is fantastic rather served in room or in the restaurants. We recommend the hotel highly.

Great hotel, best location, wi fi works great but expensive. For what you pay to stay there it should be free.

Always a pleasure to stay at the Swissotel The Stamford. Central location. Shopping center connected to hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean, fresh rooms with great views. Rooms are cleaned daily and fresh towels and toiletries replenished. Great area outside with 2 pools, one for children and the other for adults. Easy access to trains and […] they have a fantastic easy to follow train system. WIFI in room a bit expensive but that's Singapore. Highly recommended. Devamı

We traveled as a family with two teenage kids and stayed here for 3 nights. The Hotel provided us with two rooms side by side which was just perfect. Another positive; since we arrived very early in Singapore from Europe we received complimentary early check-in (from 7:30am) as well as a 2pm late check-out on the last day. This was excellent as we where […] all very tired after the long flight. The hotel has all the necessary amenities one needs for a few days stay. Rooms where clean, quiet, room service speedy and the beds very comfy. The only downside was that we had to pay for internet access which, I presume is common here in Singapore. The location is fantastic, just above Raffles shopping plaza and MRT station. There is also a Mac Donald's, a Starbucks and a food court around the corner which was convenient. Lots of other shops and the restaurants along Singapore river are within walking distance. All in all a fantastic stay and I would recommend it to anyone holidaying there. Devamı

Found the location perfect. Easy access to shops, underground train, walk to marina and new Marina Sands. 70 storeys high so you can have great views. Upgraded to Grand room which is very large with two balconies. Really enjoyed our stay.

We were advised on check in to upgrade as this would give us free wifi in our room and breakfast in the executive lounge (which we were informed was better than the standard breakfast buffet). Unfortunately, the wifi signal in our room was non existent so we had to be moved which was an inconvenience. Our new room, on the 60th floor, had wifi signal […] but only a limited connectivity. Our first two mornings we went to the executive club for breakfast and although it was decent enough, my husband had to wait half an hour for his eggs, a while for yoghurt and in the end we gave up asking for the food we wanted because it seemed too much hassle. On our last evening we were finally informed that we could use the standard buffet if we preferred, which was much better and far more enjoyable. Especially because we had young children and we had felt uncomfortable in the executive club with them because it was so small and we felt we had to keep them quiet. In general, we had a nice time but felt misinformed regarding the executive club service. We were also disappointed because our kids tend to eat between 5-6pm because they are in bed by 7pm but there was no restaurants open to serve them a proper dinner. So we had to stay in the room and order room service. Even the receptionist thought that Swiss cafe would be open but when we went there it said they only opened at 6.30pm which is too late for our children. Devamı

Plumming problems seem to be only negative thing in this hotel. Bathroom smelled very bad most of the time. Exellent location, wiew and room interior.

A really luxurious hotel with spetecular harbour view looking into Marina Bay and the Singapore Flyer. Absolutely stunning at night with all street lights on. Room is well groomed and clean, spacious enough for two occupancies. Good on whole, just a little bit expensive.

Room maids were lazy, front desk a little tardy and room service food is lacking. Great location but is very busy and pool area is a little bit small and old. Wouldn't stay again but suffice for a central location.

The hotel is well located between two shopping centres and close to the MRT. A short walk or cab ride gets you to boat quay and lots of interesting restaurants. The view from the hotel was great and there was a nice big bathrrom. My complaint is that the hotel room was damp and musty, so damp that the carpet felt wet. I think it was because the airconditioning […] had been adjusted so low that the moisture from the air condensed and "rained" all over the room. There is no need for the air conditioning to be turned down so low in hotels. Devamı

The hotel is conveniently located above MRT and near a lot of shopping centres including Orchard Road. Got a room at a high floor with fantastic view. Room is very spacious, some of the things looks a bit dated but overall well maintained and clean.

I stayed there with my wife in a room that has view to the bay. The view is amazing and we liked it so much. The hotel is really good, with a great location. How the hotel is expensive, I expected that the internet wi-fi was free (like others). But it wasn't. Excellent state of the art, well equipped gym. Convenient location and close to city hall MTR. Rooms themselves are getting a bit old, but spacious, but no particularly great features.

Swissotel is well situated and very convenient to get around via MTR and walking. Most staff are via helpful - concierge mostly helpful but depends on who is working - may be variable. Wished there was complimentary Wifi in the rooms. Request upper floor - not a bad room in the house up there!

We have stayed in many of the Singapore hotels over the last 12 years and rate this as one of the best for location, service, and good all round position for getting around Singapore. The greeting on arrival and quick efficiency of checking in was appreciated after a long flight. Without having to ask for an up grade we were offered a lovely room overlooking […] the Bay. Great hotel located on top of City Hall metro station. Direct train from the airport made it very easy to get there. Only negative was the frankly outrageous price for Internet in the hotel!

It's a good location and a wonderful restaurant on the top. The lobby promises Swissotel impeccable quality, but the rooms are really not very comfortable, old furniture, old TV and old murky sofa. We expected more. And if you are not prepared to eat in the top restaurant, there is also a top Bar, BUT children is not allowed up if they are under 16. […] Breakfast was great.. Devamı

We booked 2 Grand Rooms and stayed in the 47th and 52nd floor. The view was just beautiful - with the flyer and the Marina Hotel opposite. The staff was very friendly and helpful in every way. The room very clean and room service prompt. Would stay there any time again !

We stayed here and look forward to coming back one day. The place was amazing, located in a shopping mall in the heart of the city. the people are very friendly and nice. We were on the 61st floor so beautiful views too. I would recommend to all,.

Very happy with this hotel, lovely big room, fantastic view over the city (try requesting a room facing the road as we just happened to get lucky!), perfect location right next to Raffles City Mall & the main MRT station, opposite the famous Raffles Hotel & to top it all they allowed us to check in several hours early so we could spend the day shopping […] rather then waiting for our rooms! Overall an excellent choice for a stopover & would definately stay again. Devamı

We stayed at this hotel because of its location. Fantastic shopping mall and close proximity to MRT. We heard that it is a good hotel, which it is, however it desperately needs some uprgading. There is black mold in the bathroom. I also did not like the fixed shower. The room smelled of mold very strngly, which was disturbing and is not good for health. […] There are some construction works going on very close to the hotel, therefore it is quite noisy when you open the balcony door. Rooms are otherwise large and bright which is a plus. Internet is available at extra charge, which is additional expense, while other hotels provide it free of charge. Devamı

The hotel service was great and for the size and location, they did a great job accomodating our individual needs, especially since we were traveling with our 6month old. However, the rooms are the main complaint. They really need to be remodeled and in comparison to other 4star+ hotels, the room conditions at The Swiss Stamford hotel is subpar. They […] think the views from the roomd make up for the dated condition, absolutely not. We came from the Intercontinental Hotel Singapore prior to transferring to the Swiss. ICH rooms were brand new remodeled with modern amenities while maintainng the Peranakan cultural decor. This was my second stay at the Swiss, prior was 2009. My husband and I been staying at this hotel for the last 10 years every year at least once or twice per annum for about 2 weeks stay on average. It is convenenient with shops, restaurants, and the transit MTR system right under our nose. We found the rooms have improved and the house keeping have improved. There was a follow up after we checked in. In […] the 2nd period when we returned from a trip from Malaysia back to Swissotel Stamford, we were told our room was not ready until 2pm and were offered a double bed instead until we insisted that we have requested for harbour view with a king size bed. This despite a special request in the booking. It seems that loyalty with the hotel counts for no favours when it comes to " trivial" requests. We also found that the rooms are not consistent. We had two periods of stay this time. The first period was on the 20th floor and the room was smaller and less fringes such as the nail buff, bath salts or hair dryer on the wall. Also we noticed we didn't get any newspapers while our neighboring rooms seem to have them. Our 2nd period of stay was on the 36th floor. The room was bigger and newer and we have more toiletries. We will stay with the hotel again because the location is great and the harbour view room is bright and open. Devamı

We traveled with two young kids. Apart from the small pool, there is not much facilities for them. Excellent location, but after that, this hotel is just like any other 'business hotel'. No character, so-so-just-like-normal customer service, we don't feel like going on holiday. There are many group tourists and airline crews staying in the hotel, […] and the hotel lobby and lift lobby are always chaotic, as many groups of people with luggage move in/out most of the time. I like the hotel in general as it is clean, good service. I would definitely stay here again for business, but not with my family. Devamı

Fantastic skyline-view (even from 18th floor - the hotel is much much higher) worth the discounted price in itself. Very nice location - as good as it gets in SG. Room/bathroom somewhat worn out -old facilities, but clean enough. Friendly staff. Stil don't get the pay-for-internet deals you find at most more expensive hotels in the region. Cheaper […] hotels/hostels offer wifi for free (as does the mall underneath in this case). The extra money received by the hotel doesn't amount to the lost good-will! Devamı

The Hotel is at the heart of Raffles City Mall, Marina where the MRT City Hall is also located. Very near tourist spots such as the Marina Bay Sands, Esplanade, Flyer, etc. The Hotel Staff are very accommodating and friendly. The room is very nice with a great view of the marina Bay. Had a fantastic stay here last week. After living in Singapore for 3 years this return trip was to enjoy all the new sites (Marina Bay etc), shop, eat and be in a central location on an MRT line to get around places with ease. Swisshotel Stamford was fantastic for this. Location cold not be better. We chose to pay more for a city view room and I would […] highly recommend this. Our room was on 25th floor and was just breathtaking!!!! Room size is excellent and furnished beautifully. Requested renovated room and we were not dissapointed. Stayed for 5 nights and service was nothing short of impeccable. Did not have one fault with hotel. Had booked a high tea on Level 70 before we arrived and was greeted by my name 3 times during the high tea and ushered into a table near the window with a great view. Overall an amazing hotel and would highly recommend and return. P.S Ran into many Qantas staff in the lifts. Apparently Qantas have been staying here for over 20years. There is no wonder. Clean and comfortable with a central location, the Swissotel Stamford provides a solid base with which to see Singapore. If you need to use the concierge, I highly recommend Rosalind who provides a great sense of humor and is quick to understand your needs. I cannot remember the name of the other concierge we used but he was pretty terrible: sent us […] to the wrong bus for Sentosa, told us something was free that actually cost a bit of money and did not provide any good restaurant recommendations. Rosalind is a must if you want real advice about Singapore. Otherwise, the pool is not all that big and is shared with the Fairmont, so it can get a bit crowded at times. Still, the only real problem I had with the hotel was the lack of in-room WiFi and the exorbitant prices for internet and printing services in the business center (I found an internet cafe a block away that was much more reasonable).
