Swissotel The Stamford, Singapore - Singapore

We booked 2 Grand Rooms and stayed in the 47th and 52nd floor. The view was just beautiful - with the flyer and the Marina Hotel opposite. The staff was very friendly and helpful in every way. The room very clean and room service prompt. Would stay there any time again !

We stayed here and look forward to coming back one day. The place was amazing, located in a shopping mall in the heart of the city. the people are very friendly and nice. We were on the 61st floor so beautiful views too. I would recommend to all,.

Very happy with this hotel, lovely big room, fantastic view over the city (try requesting a room facing the road as we just happened to get lucky!), perfect location right next to Raffles City Mall & the main MRT station, opposite the famous Raffles Hotel & to top it all they allowed us to check in several hours early so we could spend the day shopping […] rather then waiting for our rooms! We stayed at this hotel because of its location. Fantastic shopping mall and close proximity to MRT. We heard that it is a good hotel, which it is, however it desperately needs some uprgading. There is black mold in the bathroom. I also did not like the fixed shower. The room smelled of mold very strngly, which was disturbing and is not good for health. […] There are some construction works going on very close to the hotel, therefore it is quite noisy when you open the balcony door. Rooms are otherwise large and bright which is a plus. Internet is available at extra charge, which is additional expense, while other hotels provide it free of charge. Devamı

The hotel service was great and for the size and location, they did a great job accomodating our individual needs, especially since we were traveling with our 6month old. However, the rooms are the main complaint. They really need to be remodeled and in comparison to other 4star+ hotels, the room conditions at The Swiss Stamford hotel is subpar. They […] think the views from the roomd make up for the dated condition, absolutely not. We came from the Intercontinental Hotel Singapore prior to transferring to the Swiss. ICH rooms were brand new remodeled with modern amenities while maintainng the Peranakan cultural decor. This was my second stay at the Swiss, prior was 2009. My husband and I been staying at this hotel for the last 10 years every year at least once or twice per annum for about 2 weeks stay on average. It is convenenient with shops, restaurants, and the transit MTR system right under our nose. We found the rooms have improved and the house keeping have improved. There was a follow up after we checked in. In […] the 2nd period when we returned from a trip from Malaysia back to Swissotel Stamford, we were told our room was not ready until 2pm and were offered a double bed instead until we insisted that we have requested for harbour view with a king size bed. This despite a special request in the booking. It seems that loyalty with the hotel counts for no favours when it comes to " trivial" requests. We also found that the rooms are not consistent. We had two periods of stay this time. The first period was on the 20th floor and the room was smaller and less fringes such as the nail buff, bath salts or hair dryer on the wall. Also we noticed we didn't get any newspapers while our neighboring rooms seem to have them. Our 2nd period of stay was on the 36th floor. The room was bigger and newer and we have more toiletries. We will stay with the hotel again because the location is great and the harbour view room is bright and open. Devamı

We traveled with two young kids. Apart from the small pool, there is not much facilities for them. Excellent location, but after that, this hotel is just like any other 'business hotel'. No character, so-so-just-like-normal customer service, we don't feel like going on holiday. There are many group tourists and airline crews staying in the hotel, […] and the hotel lobby and lift lobby are always chaotic, as many groups of people with luggage move in/out most of the time. Fantastic skyline-view (even from 18th floor - the hotel is much much higher) worth the discounted price in itself. Very nice location - as good as it gets in SG. Room/bathroom somewhat worn out -old facilities, but clean enough. Friendly staff. Stil don't get the pay-for-internet deals you find at most more expensive hotels in the region. Cheaper […] hotels/hostels offer wifi for free (as does the mall underneath in this case). The extra money received by the hotel doesn't amount to the lost good-will! Devamı

Nice spacious room. Excellent location.

The Hotel is at the heart of Raffles City Mall, Marina where the MRT City Hall is also located. Very near tourist spots such as the Marina Bay Sands, Esplanade, Flyer, etc. The Hotel Staff are very accommodating and friendly. The room is very nice with a great view of the marina Bay. Had a fantastic stay here last week. After living in Singapore for 3 years this return trip was to enjoy all the new sites (Marina Bay etc), shop, eat and be in a central location on an MRT line to get around places with ease. Our room was on 25th floor and was just breathtaking!!!! Room size is excellent and furnished beautifully. Requested renovated room and we were not dissapointed. Stayed for 5 nights and service was nothing short of impeccable. Did not have one fault with hotel. Had booked a high tea on Level 70 before we arrived and was greeted by my name 3 times during the high tea and ushered into a table near the window with a great view. Overall an amazing hotel and would highly recommend and return. P.S Ran into many Qantas staff in the lifts. Apparently Qantas have been staying here for over 20years. There is no wonder. Clean and comfortable with a central location, the Swissotel Stamford provides a solid base with which to see Singapore. If you need to use the concierge, I highly recommend Rosalind who provides a great sense of humor and is quick to understand your needs. I cannot remember the name of the other concierge we used but he was pretty terrible: sent us […] to the wrong bus for Sentosa, told us something was free that actually cost a bit of money and did not provide any good restaurant recommendations. Rosalind is a must if you want real advice about Singapore. Otherwise, the pool is not all that big and is shared with the Fairmont, so it can get a bit crowded at times. Still, the only real problem I had with the hotel was the lack of in-room WiFi and the exorbitant prices for internet and printing services in the business center (I found an internet cafe a block away that was much more reasonable). Amazing location. Height is a boon. Esplanade and Marina bay views. Great service and rooms with balconies.

The first day: 1. the tub would not drain 2. the safe was locked in the open position 3. the sink drain was stuck closed 4. cost of internet connection was extremely high, but what are you going to do? Worth the stay.

Strategically located attached to Raffles Center, very nice hotel with lots of options and an outside of the hotel.

Location was great over food,MRT and shopping. Great views if you get on the right side of the hotel and very comfortable large rooms. I would not hesitate to go there again

Lovely hotel, clean tidy and friendly staff. The restaurant on the 70th floor is worth a visit has some amazing views over the Marina. Also very close to Raffells if you fancy a trip to the Long Bar. One thing to bear in mind is that if you are looking to go to Orchard Street for some shopping, it is a long walk so either take the bus, train or even […] a taxi! Devamı

Quite a relatively old hotel, my mini fridge was spoilt and I waited for 1 hr in the middle of the night to get it replaced. Other then that, the hotel service was quite ok, they were very compromising and patient with me.

A very good 4+ star hotel. Very efficient business hotel in the centre of Singapore.

Swissotel The Stamford, Singapore hotel is a standard five star hotel, what makes this hotel exceptional is the location. It is next door to Raffles hotel and on top of a shopping mall which has everything you will need. The food in the Marketplace is fantastic and very reasonably priced. The hotel was nice. The lobby can get crowded at times, so for some services there can be a wait. The concierge people were fantastic even though busy all day long. The room was nice but dated. Double beds were hard. Our toilet had trouble and the maintenance guy came 30 minutes later. We were surprised and disappointed that the manager did not call […] and offer an apology with some type of gratuitous service. The harbor room view was great. The restaurant/bar on the 71st floor also was nice. The pools were pretty fun for the kids, but could get stale after a few days. The hotel is generally nice, but lacks the details of a 5-star hotel. Although relatively expensive, the hotel works very well. The staff is helpful and efficient, (obviously well trained) and the location is very convenient if doing business in the CBD. I had a twin-bedded room and alhough not large, it was functional and clean. The view over the harbour is always interesting. It's a pity the hotel does not put fresh […] milk in the fridge, rather than the whitening power in the coffee-making kit. just do not stay here. australian budget tourists do love it here, though. a sing to stay away.

for the money you pay for things here it is not worth it. had a maintenance issue with the bathroom faucet that was NEVER resolved during my stay. Rooms are decorated in 1980's decor. dust is thick on the picture frames and bedside table lamp shades and tv's. Will NEVER stay there again.

Hotels in Singapore are expensive compared to the asian countries nearby. This was the most expensive hotel I stayed in during my trip around the area (and I stayed in some very nice 5* hotels) but the standard of accommodation and service was very average. You are paying more for location I feel. Check-in was rather bland - efficient, but not warm […] or welcoming. Bed choice was not available so ended up in a room with two beds - what a waste of space. Reasonable size room with almost everything you would need available. View over pool. Bathroom was disappointing and awkward - strange folding glass shower screen, sink did not drain very well so filled up with running water, plug did not seal so if you wanted to fill the sink, you couldn't! Lightswitch inside bathroom!!!!! Otherwise room was OK (but I dont think worth the price!) Pool area was nice - two pools available with pool bar and restaurant for snacks or meals. Fairly pricey drinks but that goes with the territory. Guests of the hotels could also use the spa (separate mens and womens areas) which was handy as you could get a locker for your stuff whilst using the pool area. Service was patchy - sometimes there were loads of staff wandering round to check if you needed anything, other times you could get very thirsty. Did not use any of the restaurants on this short stay. This hotel does not offer wifi in the rooms. Wired internet is available for a fee but that is not much use to iPhone or iPad users. You could get connected in the lobby area (some areas) but you have to ask for the relevant SSID to use and a password. Also the lobby has only a few chairs to sit down and these are usually taken so you end up having to sit in the lobby coffee shop. Check out was again efficient but rather disinterested. Staff were however very helpful in getting a taxi to the airport at a time when taxis were in short supply (Sunday night). Devamı

The hotel was great we stayed in a grand room on the 24th floor with views of the harbour it was very spacious and had 2 balconys 1 looked down on the pool and the other to the harbour we stayed new year and saw all the fireworks from our balcony. The hotel was great to get around as it had shopping centres & the MRT train station below it & it was […] only a 10 minute walk to Clarke Quay and Boat key where all the restaurants & bars are. Spent 5 days at the Swissotel The Stamford and was rather disappointed by the product, althought rooms are spacious, furniture is old, room was smelly and not properly cleaned. Besides that the location is excellent, closeby everything (walking distance to the Marina, Singapore Flyer, Shopping Malls...). Breakfast was also good

Stayed there for business and the location was just perfect. Walking distance to Clarke Quey. Staff was very nice. Stayed on 54th floor with a magnificant view. Rooms were very nicely furnished. One of the best hotel stays I ever had! MRT is inside the same complex which makes a trip to Orchard Rd easy as well.

The Swissotel Stamford was absolutely perfect for our needs. Ideal location. Next to Raffles Hotel, just had to walk two minutes for our Singapore Sling. Raffles City Shopping Mall and Food Hall was attached to hotel so no need to step out into the searing heat. Excellent restaurants in the Mall but also restaurants attached to Hotel were very good. […] Go to the 70th floor for drinks and listen to excellent due and take in the views of Singapore. I stayed for one week. The lady who dealt with my booking was very friendly and helpful, I wish I could remember her name. She provided an extra bed for no extra cost. Very thankful for that. The hotel is engulfed with endless shopping complexes and restaurants. I had the Marina Bay view and my 2-year toddler enjoyed watching the boats. She also […] loved the children swimming pool which was shallow enough for her. The two pools at this hotel are humongous! This is the number 1 reason was I chose this place. My only negative comment is that the cleaners came at an inconvenient time for us, around 2pm, as this was the time when my daughter took her nap. They came and rang the bell which woke her up and disturbed her sleep. At times, I just had to decline them, so we ended with a room which was not made. i think it is just very poor hotel

Excellent location -right by the metro,which connects to the Airport train. Hotel is part of the raffles plaza,which has a great variety of shops and eateries, all indoors, which is great due to the heat and humidity. Wondeful soundproof windows in the rooms,with lovely views. Amazing ,huge buffet breakfast, or smaller cafe areas. All staff were friendly […] and efficient. In a fantastic location, located pretty much on top of City Hall MRT station, it's very easy to catch the MRT from the airport to the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful, though being such a large hotel it can feel a little impersonal at times. The New Asia bar on the top floor is a must-visit at night for its spectacular views.

Great hotel. Exceptional service. But as mentioned by other reviewers, room service and the restaurants were very expensive. But for the price of the room I can't complain. Don't be worried about the price of food. The hotel is attached to a large mall with a food court and many other nice restaurants in walking distance.
